Lowes Foods of Cape Carteret

Those that know me, know that I am definitely NOT a fan of the big box warehouse stores that make you feel like they are doing you a favor to sell you their brand of product telling you that you got a bargain and then making you check out your own groceries, and watching you like a shoplifter or criminal after you just spent your money with them.
Even so, every so often, even I have to go to a big box store when I need something I just can't find at the smaller local market. But when I do... I want that store to treat me like my dollars matter, and that shopping experience to be an enjoyable adventure... like going to a fancy mall... NOT like I'm cattle being herded through a gate.
Thankfully, not far from where I live there is just such a store... it's the recently remodeled and enlarged Lowes Grocery in Cedar Point, which inside seems like a hundred smaller shops from butcher to fish monger, dairy man to produce vendor.
Also unlike the Wally Worlds, and other warehouse stores... they actually carry a lot of products harvest right here in North Carolina. COOL!! They custom cut the meat on request... carry a pretty good variety of fresh seafood... have an awesome bakery, and a deli that actually carries Olive Loaf.
Trust me they have a lot of great things that aren't on my can do list... as far as consuming... but if you can... WOW!! It really doesn't feel like a giant store but more like a bunch of small ones sharing a common area.
I've had to shop there several times... but the service has always been great. Their staff knows their store and where to find things. The crew is friendly and professional. When it comes to spices and seasonings, they have the widest variety I have ever seen at any grocery.
On some things they are a tad bit higher, on others a tad bit lower... like all large stores.... but unlike some of those big warehouse style stores... they do their best to make shopping an experience.. a good experience...
When I have to go to a larger store... I like the experience with is more like going to a culinary Disneyland instead of a shoppers swamp.... So when I have too... it's Lowes. JM

Great store, very clean and fresh! This is my go to for fresh veggies, fresh fruits and the deli is awesome. The employees in the deli rock and never have a problem making a special order sandwich!

Absolutely the best experience ever. Wine and craft beer bar at the grocery store. Great service and a real community of loyal followers.

It's my favorite place to go shopping and there have fresh fruits & veggies and organic foods plus there's have salad bar, fresh bakery, flowers, seafoods and deli. They have party platters for all of above too! Also there's have fresh make coffee and enjoying drinks some beers and wine at front desk. They have everything that you'll going love it! 👍🏻 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This seriously might be my new favorite place. I absolutely love the variety of products and services. Also got the best Iced coffee for an incredible price at the coffee bar inside. And their sushi is my absolute favorite.

The folks in here are friendly and they have a great selection of wines. The deli has several sections and the bakery is always adding fresh items out on the floor. It may not be the least expensive grocery store around, but if you watch for sales, and use the $.05 gas discounts for every $100 you spend, it is worth it.

Love this store! They sell the freshest food. They have a bakery where they make cakes and everything and even a deli where they prepare food (hot food and cold foods, even sushi). They make premade sandwiches and lunches! They have a huge selection of beer and wine! They have a wide variety of food, fresh fruits, toiletry products and even fresh cut meats and seafood! Fair prices for the quality of products they have and a discount with the free Lowes food card that gives you points for shopping that give you not only discounts but points towards free items from a catalog! They sell fresh cut flowers, potted flowers, balloons, chocolates and greeting cards. It is a very convenient location that is easy to see from the road. They also sell propane and primo water in the big jugs for the water dispensers.They have curbside pickup!!....Where you can call in a shopping order and they will do all of the shopping for you and bring it out to your car (for a small fee of course, but great for people in a hurry or handicap)

Staff is always friendly... I always seem to meet interesting people at the Lowe's bar. Nice job on the rotating draft selections.

We love Lowe's foods in Cape Carteret! It's so nice inside with all the different delis and choices of foods you don't normally have in your traditional grocery store, they have a to die for salad bar and an awesome meat department.

This store is so clean & organized. They have things that other grocery stores do not carry. The employees are very helpful.

Always friendly staff! Great gluten free selections! Please add gluten free wraps to the sandwich station. I had to get them off the shelf to get my daughter a sandwich made. Love the coffee bar and their baristas!

This is one of the best Lowe’s foods I have been in! Besides the exceptional cleanliness and the freshest produce, there is an amazing fresh sandwich/pizza made to order deli shop at this location. Always great customer service!

Beautiful store! Has absolutely everything you want/need-including a bar and well stocked wine n Spirits. Great deli and meat selection. It isn't inexpensive but worth every visit!

A truly beautiful store with a great selection of both local and national brands. They have good deli items available, including hot sandwiches and to go items. There's a great beer selection with some brands available on tap for drinking while shopping. There's very nice fresh fish counter and meat section.

Fresh veggies, great deli,great deals. One dozen large eggs 1.39. , Walmart same size eggs 2.and change.

Love this store. Always clean. Staff are super friendly. Bathrooms are clean and stocked every time. Food is hot delicious. Frozen foods are frozen. Fresh is fresh. Both self checkout and staff checkout options. Has a coffee bar inside and tables to eat a quick meal and enjoy a conversation. Music isn't too loud when on. Kids love the make a wish box (not every store has one). I love the fresh ground coffee bean station!!!!
