As a former hairstylist and salon owner it was so great to be a client at Modern Salon. It was truly a 5 star experience all around. Warm and welcoming team members, bright & inviting space, relaxing shampoo area, all around good vibes and excellent results with my hair. You can tell that education and quality are important here. My stylist was Tiffany and she was very friendly and nailed my haircut perfectly. I was in and out in an hour with an awesome blowout too. I'll definitely be back and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great salon in Cornelius and the surrounding areas.

Sally has done such an amazing transformation of my hair today! Sally did all over highlights (my first time) to embrace going lighter. She has been a great source of knowledge and encouragement since I mentioned wanting to try this over the last few months. Today we started the process. I am thrilled. She is as kind as she is professional. She explains about my “hair integrity” being her primary focus while going lighter. She did a lot of work today. I am so thankful for her genuine honesty and support assisting me through this process. Sally is such a wonderful stylist and hair color specialist. I recommend her to everyone. Thank you also to the girls upfront who are always kind to me.

Ashley did such a great job!!!! I’m absolutely obsessed with how my hair cut turned out. I went a lot shorter than I normally do so I was a little nervous but the added layers and face framing made it look amazing!

Felishia was amazing! Our search for a stylist has finally ended and we’ve been searching for the right one for my daughters and myself for years. She is very knowledgable and explains what she is going to do and makes sure it’s in line with what you want. The salon was very clean and relaxing and we had a wonderful experience.

I had an amazing experience here! The salon is so clean and nicely decorated, the products are stored in a nice and neat way. The actual employees are very kind and were all attending me at every point. Dasha did the best highlights and haircut on my hair. She did a great job to match what I exactly wanted. Felicia is very knowledgeable, positive and patient. She communicates well and keeps her calm. Her attention to detail and commitment are commendable. She really exceeded our expectations. My daughter’s highlights and lowlights went through all the layers of her hair and the tones go beautifully with her skin. Felicia did an amazing job!

Katie was super sweet and attentive!! She helped me with finding the perfect color to match my hair and I’m so excited to book other services with her!

Sally was awesome! Have gone to the same hairdresser my whole life and was reluctant to try somewhere new… but relocating 1000 miles away didn’t give me much of a choice. Sally was easy to talk to, shampoo/condition experience was top notch, and she was able to execute the style I was looking for from just looking at an old picture of me. Will definitely be back!

Killian has been doing my hair for about a year and a half and she has never failed to impress me and make me love my hair! I trust her vision so much, I just let her do what she wants and she is phenomenal! My hair has never been so healthy or looked so good! Couldn’t recommend anyone more!

Laura was great! She took what I asked for and asked clarifying questions to make sure we were on the same page and set realistic expectations of what it could look like for today! She was friendly, relaxing, and awesome! 10/10 would recommend.

I got a haircut, deep conditioning treatment, shampoo, and style with Valentina and absolutely loved her work! I could tell that she cared to understand what I was picturing in my head for a haircut, and her delivery was even better than what I had imagined. The salon is beautiful and the young lady who checked my niece and I in was so nice and accommodating. We each had a shampoo, cut, and blow dry with Riley. She was amazing! I told her I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted but showed her several different pictures that I liked. We discussed my styling routine, etc. She took in all that information and then she worked her magic! She gave me a beautiful hair style that I can either air dry curly or blow dry and style like she did. I am so happy! I can’t say enough good things about Riley!! I would definitely recommend her.

It had been over a year since my last hair appointment so I was in need of a major cut and color update. I asked for more balayage and a layered cut (I’ve had the balayage technique done for my color for a couple years now because it’s so low maintenance). It was my first time with Ashley and she was so sweet, easy to talk to, and listened to all my ideas and gave me exactly what I wanted. I like the color, cut, and the little neck massage she gives during the shampoo process. My hair looks and feels great. I will be back to see her next time.
Side note, I love the look of this salon, the products they use smell great and make my hair feel great also. I’ve purchased the Evo happy camper leave in conditioner. It smells great but I need something more conditioning for my ends. May purchase the shampoo and conditioner next time.

Hannah is amazing and knew exactly what I wanted and needed when it came to the coloring of coloring for my hair. She also has the best personality, so kind and I love each time I get to sit in her chair. I highly recommend her!!
