Great breakfast! The chilaquiles were the best I have had in Oklahoma and very authentic! The staff were friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend Cafe Mona for breakfast!

Quit little spot over by walmart. Great mexican style food with that home made taste. My picky 3 year old even loved his food! The salsa was fresh and queso was on point! Side note didn't try but they are serve specialty coffees and have a very delicious looking breakfast menu

This little restaurant is quaint and offers a pretty good selection for the size of the restaurant. The food is very fresh tasting And you have quite a few gluten-free options. There’s salsa is a blend of cooked or roasted Ingredients and fresh cilantro and onions etc. so you get a nice fresh salsa feel to it. The staff is very friendly as well. They are in the process of moving to a little bit larger location but it will still be near the old Walmart on Perkins Road. Parking is slightly limited depending on what part of the day you go but it’s fairly accessible in terms of not having a bunch of high steps. Accessibility notes: They keep walkways very nice and clear so it’s easy to move around if you have mobility issues or a wheelchair. additionally, the noise level is just right or at least when we went. The music was on but not so loud that you couldn’t talk to people at the table and you could hear your waiter take your order. As far as food wise, definitely think of a little barista or café feel to the food menu. I would definitely suggest this for breakfast, lunch or a quick dinner. We didn’t try lattes but they do serve them on top of some pretty interesting breakfast types of items! Can’t wait to go back!

Stillwater’s little Café Mona, concealed in a strip mall on the north side of town may be a hidden gem for “Authentic Mexican Food.“
Let’s get to it! Starting with the chips served with their excellent salsa. Be sure to ask for the hotter version of the salsa. Neither is really that hot so, if you are like me you may still need to add some of the commercially made bottled hot sauce on the table. But, the café made sauces are good. You will notice that the chips are obviously hand cut small triangles, from corn tortillas and fried there; not commercially made chips!
My wife ordered the Enchiladas Rojas: three Queso Fresco enchiladas topped in authentic red mole enchilada sauce and served with potatoes, carrots in a delicious Adobo sauce. It also came with rice and a small lettuce, tomato and sour cream salad on the plate. My wife loved the Queso Fresco in the enchiladas with the delicious sauces on them and the vegetables! The sauces on both meals were fantastic! Great Meal!
I had to try the Chilaquiles Mexicanos. This was their tortillas chips smothered with their red mole sauce. The big plate of chips and sauce was then loaded with chopped grilled steak, queso fresco, red onion, and cilantro. Then the whole thing was topped off with a dollop of sour cream, guacamole, and crowned with a fried egg! Refried beans on the side! This was a big delicious filling meal!
The service is fast. The staff is very friendly and attentive.

If you are looking for other Mexican restaurants in the area, check out my reviews in my collection "Jalapeno Highway" on Yelp. I've probably been there.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant and favorite coffee shop in Stillwater. Yes, that's right, you'll get the best coffee drinks here. So much thought has been put into each beverage and the flavor of them speaks for itself.

I try a new dish every time I go here. All items have been delicious and mouth watering. They cook their meat to be juicy and tender with loads of flavor.

The chips and salsa are good. If you love spicy food like me you can ask them to bring out their medium or hot version of salsa in addition to the mild version they give you upon sitting down. Each one has a unique flavor and is delicious in its own right.

I usually get queso con chorizo as an appetizer and it's good queso. The guacamole is also so good that I go there to get it when I'm craving good guac with chips. Oh yeah, and the chips are made in house which makes them far superior to other places I've been to.

The service is great. They usually have the same girl working (I don't know her name) and she is really good at customer service. I've always felt well attended to and taken care of. To notch!!!

I eat at this place all the time. I really like the food. Specifically I like their Huevos Rancheros and the fried plantains. Their salsa is very fresh tasting. Also, the horchata latte is very tasty. They are a small business and the family that owns it are very friendly. To the clowns who post one star ratings for this place because you feel entitled to just sit at their place of business while not ordering anything, please get over yourself and go sit in Wal-Mart or someplace else. They are well within their right as a private business to ask you to leave if you don’t eat there. They are also within their right as a private business to put a time limit in your time to dine there. They are also within their right as a private business to not allow you to use their toilet. Or to insist that you wear shoes and a shirt in order to get served. None of that makes them unfriendly and it doesn’t constitute bad service. They are simply trying to run their small business. You are probably fortunate. If it had been me I would have called the police to report you. What you were doing is extremely rude and inconsiderate. It’s called loitering at their place of business. And that, unlike asking you to leave for not ordering, is against the law.

Very good food. On par with what I'd expect in San Antonio or San Diego. Being a coffee shop too is nice, because coffee is awesome, but it also makes this place unique! The coffee is also delicious. Prices were pretty good, I got a large latte, a full dinner sized plate, and a dessert; and the total was ~$16. Could easily get a good meal for under $10. Staff is extremely attentive and friendly as well. 10/10, definitely recommend and will be back.

I have never had a salsa this delicious! Their salsa tastes great! For dinner I had a Chicken Faloutas! No regrets!!! I would suggest to Get a lime rice and Fries on sides. Also do not forget to ask for their hot sauce!

Servers were very friendly! The place is a bit small but very clean. I would definitely go here again and try other foods as well!

We visit Stillwater 3 or 4 times a year and always enjoy this place. Jasmine was our server the last two times we came to town. She has the best personality and defines making you feel at home. We had the breakfast enchiladas and they were amazing. In fact, they were so good. We forgot to take a picture until we were halfway finished. Don't forget their wonderful homemade salsas and chips.

Best pancakes I think I've ever had and husband said the same. Meal is very fairly priced for what you get. Coffee menu is on the pricey side but it was good. The service is great. Everyone is sweet. We'll be back.

Cafe Mona is a gem we found on a whim passing through Stillwater this morning. The food is fresh, the coffee is enticing and the owner family and staff are delightful. We will be back. And for me, another mark of a quality establishment is the bathroom - Mona's is great!!

Stillwater has a glut of Mexican restaurants, and most of them aren’t worth the time or money. Cafe Mona is one of the few exceptions. I had the street tacos and a Cubano coffee. Everything was so flavorful . . . both the pork taco and the chicken and chorizo taco had a thin, slightly sweet sauce and caramelized onions - so delicious! And the Cubano was a wonderful treat for a lover of strong coffee like me. I heartily recommend Cafe Mona; you won’t be disappointed!

I love Cafe Mona and their staff. They are kind, courteous and provide delicious food and coffee at a very reasonable price. You must try their lattes as they are all delicious, however their Cafe de Olla is the best I have ever had. They serve it hot or iced. This is my go to place to catch up with a friend over coffee or lunch and they recently started serving margaritas and a variety of beers. I assure you, you will fall in love with this place.

Large portions! Excellent breakfast! Yummy lattes! The kids enjoyed it too, and it was nice that they had a high chair for my toddler. They loved the kids pancakes. I liked the Carmel latte and Mexican Mocha ☕

Spicy, flavorful salsa. Hot, fresh and large portions on the meal. I was very happy to find this place.

A Mexican restaurant and cafe all in one!

The cafe had some interesting drink options. From Mexican hot chocolate to horchata lattes, I will definitely be back to try some drinks too!

Very reasonably priced, and they had a special on their tacos. Can’t wait to try it again soon!
