When I had to visit the emergency room at the conclusion of a three day speaking engagement at Oklahoma State, I found the team of professionals working together to be truly phenomenal! The intake clerk, my amazing physician Dr. Taylor Blose, the ultrasound tech, the CT scan tech, and all of the nurses and other personnel with whom I interacted were unbelievably compassionate and professional. It's the best emergency room I've ever encountered!

The staff in the ICU and the rest of the 3rd floor showed such kindness and compassion for my husband. They saved his life as well they were saving mine. I will never forget the faces of all the wonderful Doctors and NURSES who patiently worked with us both.

I want to say THANK YOU for taking care of me. I was apprehensive about going to the ER but WOW! Everyone I encountered was very nice and treated me kindly and with respect. Everything was explained thoroughly to me. My nurse practitioner answered my questions and didn't make me feel stupid or foolish. I arrived feeling nervous and scared but left feeling HEARD and educated about my situation. Great job SMC!!

I had my daughter here and was very VERY pleased with my care. Each nurse, and doctor who came to my room was very helpful, kind, and knowledgeable to our needs throughout our stay. They checked on us periodically and the bedside manner was phenominal! I hope if we should need to go again, we would continue to receive such excellent care from the teams available!

Really great hospital. I had a family member who had a surgery here yesterday and we have no complaints at all. Everyone is incredibly kind, communicative, and uplifting.

I had a wonderful experience here last night. Even through all the pain i was having (and all the pain I was causing talking to those poor nurses and doctors), they made it a most comfortable experience.
Thank you to Nurse Phillip, Dr. Zen and Ms. Richelle for having the best bedside manner with me and their patients. Truly saints at work.

The vibe in this place is fantastic! I was there from Broken Arrow to consult with Dr. Theisen. He and his nurse were wonderful. Warm and welcoming. Everyone I came in contact with was friendly. They all seem content. Wish there was a hospital closer to me like SMC.

Had an elderly family member transferred here and they were absolutely wonderful the entire time. Nurses and case manager (specifically Chelsea and Cara) on the third floor are absolutely exceptional, very communicative, and great at their jobs! Thank you all for you do!

I gave birth to my first baby here and it was a good experience. The nurses were amazing and attentive to what I wanted. This wasn't the hospital I initially planned to give birth at so I didn't know what to expect. But the L&D unit was amazing!

My 8 year old daughter had a tonsil and adenoidectomy yesterday. Staff was so kind from the moment we walked in. Nurses and Dr. Goff were great with her putting her at ease. Everyone was so informative with us through this process. When we got there, on her bed was a little stuffed animal mouse and it went back to surgery with her and came back with coban that matched her IV. That small act ment the world to her. I appreciate all the staff and want to say what a great hospital this is. Thank you!!♡

I’m a veteran so when they called to schedule me for colonoscopy, I told them Ponca City has a hospital but they scheduled me anyway with Stillwater Medical Center!!! I was not happy but conceded to the change. My experience with Stillwater was the best I’ve ever had!!! I have a history of being stuck so many times that I come out bruised up and down my feet to both arms which makes for a very painful experience.
To my surprise, the technician came in with her pc with an ultrasound. Immediately she found the vein around 2 inches deep, I said that will take a long needle and she agreed and said she would put something to deaden the skin so I didn’t feel any pain, which I didn’t!!! The whole experience was impressive and I highly recommend Stillwater Medical Center for your Colonoscopy!!!!!!

I came in November 19th to the emergency room and am staying the night my emergency doctor Pratt is the flippin bomb-diggitty and I am very glad I got here on his shift. My Tech is Jenn and she is downright awesomeness with a side of keeping it real! Love that lady and she needs a raise!!
My nurse Nicole is amazing at needle sticks...never felt it. All in all....wonderful team!🙌🎉🙌🎊🤗

My little one could not breathe, she woke up at 1am struggling for air and coughing harder than I have ever seen her. We were both scared. We got there, seen quickly and they did everything they could to try to make my baby smile… even brought over a Christmas teddy bear for her to have. We were out in about 1.5 hours. I really appreciated how they got us seen so quickly since she was having respiratory distress. I thought maybe they may test her for a few things, but they seemed pretty certain with the diagnosis.

My experience with my full knee replacement at SMC was absolutely fantastic! EVERYONE did an exceptional job to ensure I got the care I needed. They were gentle and kind, patient and understanding, pleasant and friendly. Thank you to all involved; you are an A+ team.

I had hip replacement surgery around mid December. My overall experience was wonderful. The surgery went well and I am progressing nicely.
The therapy instructors for the "pre" surgery class were all knowledgeable and encouraging. This process extended after the surgery too.
All the nurses (except for one nurse - she came to check on me about four hours after her shift started) and techs were extremely nice and helpful and interacted with all the patients with humor and compassion. I am extremely appreciative for what they did for me during what i consider "a major" surgery. Kudos to the team!! Keep up the good work.

Just wanted to say I had a great experience there when I had my baby girl October 5, 2021. The ER was quick to let the maternity floor know that I was in labor and needed to be triaged. The nurses I had while in labor were awesome and helped me understand what was going on since she was my first baby. The labor was so traumatic on my body and baby from her being stuck in my pelvis they got me into a c-section in less than ten minutes. Because of my OB/GYN and nurses being quick to react they saved my baby and I's lives.

The only negative thing I would say is make sure the RNs are actually communicating with husbands/fiances/partners/family because my fiance was completely freaking out from not being told anything when asking how the baby and I were doing.

Highly Recommended! Great Emergency Department. The staff was very friendly, quick, and definitely worked as team players. All of the staff, nurses, techs and doctor looked and acted like they loved their jobs. They made me feel at ease and relaxed and treated me great. I came to the hospital down and left extremely happy.

I had one of the most best experiences I’ve ever had in a hospital being here. All of the nurses were so helpful, super sweet and made my first time going through labor, one to truly never forget. Specifically nurses Sally and April were amazing. They really made me feel so comfortable and respected me within the whole time I was in labor. They gave me all the info I needed to know and asked for, they educated me and made sure to validate my feelings and ensured that my words on my birth plan was heard and I will forever be so grateful for them for that. I felt loved and at home and since I’ve left I’ve continued to share with everyone of how sweet and amazing my birth experience was at the Stillwater Medical Center. Even a couple days after being home already I've cried to my family with tears of joy of how much I loved being there. Especially being away from home and not having my family around, Sally and April even other nurses as well, from the time I arrived to the time I left, those two gave me such a feel of home and made me feel complete. They cared so much about me and that was felt. We felt it the whole time being there and from the bottom of my heart I can't thank them enough. My baby girl Tapenisi is here safely because of them-If they ever see this, we still think about you guys and seriously thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

The Nurses, Doctor, and staff were excellent in their service. I felt the doctor's diagnostic skills were very good. They expressed compassion and understanding as I had to deal with various tests to determine my health problem. Overall, I consider Stillwater Medical Center to be one of the finest medical facilities for it's size in Oklahoma and in many other states. Due to their fine care I recuperated quickly and completely.

SMC took excellent care of my daughter as she had an emergency appendectomy. The ED staff, nurses and physician had excellent customer service. They were conservative with testing and thorough with explaining the diagnosis and procedures. All nurses were friendly and personable. Dr. Pence explained everything in terms I could understand using pictures and documentation to review at home. The timeline for the procedure and follow up visit were spot on.
