The Meat Up Spot

Had our second trip today and tried the BBQ, and brisket. Again the BBQ was amazing, and I think It’s beat out Boss Hog as my favorite. It isn’t overly vinegary, and always has a few charred chunks in it. The brisket is also very good, but definitely needs some of their delicious sauces. If you’re picky about water i’d pass on the lemonade and stick to the tea or Cheerwine. I’ve only had their slaw and potato salad so far, both are good and I love the chunky potatoes in their potato salad, just be aware both are mayo heavy. Its good to finally have a delicious BBQ place near the lake!

I've tried all the meats and they've all been top-notch! I've had award winning bbq many times but I'm telling you - this stuff is on par with anything I've had. Good job folks. Online ordering really helps.

Been here several times. The Meat Up Spot has the best BBQ and smoked meat you will get around here. Good Stuff!

Food was great! Customer service was wonderful. I was able to order online and choose what time I would pick up my food. It was hot and ready.

The beef was dry. You got to eat it with the sauce.

Meat and sauces were great! I Wish there was some other side options (green beans, fries, fried okra, etc.).

It's hard to give a food truck much more than this if you are rating it as a restaurant. As a food truck, it probably deserves more stars. Their barbecue is the real thing. However, even though they're using the right processes, their dry rub seasoning doesn't have much flavor. Thankfully, the other sauces that You can choose from are all the seasoning you need.

There are a couple of picnic tables, but mostly this is a takeout joint.

Come early as most of the desired menu can be gone early in the day. Best recommendation is their brisket sandwich. Many times you will be lucky enough to get several burnt ends, the most desirable item on many barbecue restaurant menus. It looks like it's nearly enough to choke a horse, but once you get going, it's hard to stop.

Ordered 2 sandwiches. Guy behind the counter had the personality and customer service skills of a cinder block. Sandwiches were so greasy it soaked through 2 layers of wrapping and bag onto my pants and truck seat. Meat in both sandwiches was like rawhide leather and inedible. Bread was so grease soaked it just dissolved. And to top it off - $30!!! for 2 inedible sandwiches. I'd eat tree bark before I give this assclown ripoff another dime....
