I have been going to Shear Excellence South Park now for about 2 years since moving to Charlotte. I get my haircut and beard trimmed by Sarah. The experience is always phenomenal and the shampoo massages are the best. I highly recommend checking this place out if you are looking for a quality haircut and beard trim.

Shear Excellence goes above and beyond to deliver a great haircut. The stylists, drinks, decor and experience are what distinguishes Shear Excellence from others.

The inside has a great customer waiting area with 6 leather chairs, a tv and magazines. There are complimentary sodas, beers, water and coffee.

I always feel valued as a customer and I am never disappointed. The head massage, hot towels and neck shave are nice details.

Great job to the South Park team and to Riley for always doing a great job!

Had an amazing experience with my stylist! Great conversation and the haircut turned out amazing. This is the second location I’ve visited, and in both locations customer service was A+

Over all I like everything about this location, the appointment setting is convenient there friendly and professional. You never wait for more than a couple of minutes. The staff is on top of things. I lived close to this location for a year and that’s how I found it. I have now moved much farther away and much closer to another location they have in Ballantine which would be way more convenient for me however Jade my stylist is worth the drive. Not to take away from anything the rest of the staff does but I take the trip out there because of how impressed I am with what she does and just all around enjoy the experience. All and all you guys are great! Jade especially!

Blair was outstanding. First time here. Very friendly and outgoing. Ask what I wanted done and she did a great job. Going back for sure.

Feelin' fresh! Jade is very attentive and absolutely delivered on the style I was going for. These ladies know what they are doing. It is a premium priced location but you get what you pay for and I wouldn't have any other place touching my hair at this point.

This is Shear Excellence newest location. I think this is a great move on their part as South Park is a location lacking a full barber experience.

Now shear is more expensive than your typical great clips/super cuts nearby but you do not get the same bang for your buck. The additions here are what puts it over the top, they add on shampoo/conditioner, hot towel, straight razor back of neck shave and around ears, neck massage and you can get a beer/drink before your relaxing cut. All these extras make it worth the additional cost of 39$

Also, I have found the haircuts so much better and always consistent to those other budget spots.

They offer other services as well like straight razor shaves and I have done this done once and it was very nice just not my thing.

As for booking an appointment you can do this online or call ahead. I can most of the time call day of and get in.

I definitely plan on making this a frequent spot

Sara did an excellent job with my haircut, there's a lot of 45$ barbershop in Charlotte but this has been the first that has given me a great cut, hot towel, wash and even a massage, that I wasn't expecting, with a friendly atmosphere. In case someone Google's it. This is also an great place for those with Asian/Straight thinner hair. Sara also got my cowlick. 10/10 would come again.

Always a great experience! It usually work with Sarah who is fantastic but today it was Sydney who did an expert job with my haircut and the beard trim.

Best haircut and hair related experience I’ve had. 6 stars. Between the scalp massage, complimentary drinks, not to mention an excellent haircut, it is unbeatable. Sarah was the best and knew exactly what to do for my curly hair. Do yourself a favor and get your next haircut here!

I always have a great experience when meeting with Jazzmyne. She listens and adapts and meets my quirky needs. I hate getting water in my ears and she always provides me with cotton balls and I never, ever have to remind her, which makes me feel valued. I'm not sure what magic she uses, but she always manages to make this old fella look pretty darn good when she is done!

This place is great, I’m a nightmare for most places and Sydney D. gets my hair perfect every time. The entire staff was really friendly and made me feel wanted. The location is right across from the taco mac and has tons of covered parking next door. Highly recommend and will be back.

I’ve been to this location twice and I don’t think I’ll be going anywhere else because each experience has been phenomenal. Sarah was my stylist both times and I wasn’t totally sure what I wanted but gave some loose parameters and she crushed it and was very friendly the entire time. In fact, the whole staff was super hospitable and made sure I had everything I needed. Props to Sarah for making me handsome and to Shear Excellence for making a regular out of me! I definitely recommend!

Severely disappointed….that I don’t have a men’s salon like this near home! Great place with great service. Jade was fantastic.

This place is the best. Every haircut I've gotten has been fantastic, no matter who cuts it. I have my favorites but truly, everyone I've had cut my hair does it flawlessly every time. Very good products, have a drink or two while your here (on the house) and friendly service every time. These girls work hard and are a pleasure always. I would not hesitate to recommend them and they do great boy's cuts, too. My son loves coming here for his haircuts.

I've been using Shear Excellence for 4 years now and have had experiences anywhere from 5* to 3*. The venue is top notch, and I love a great whiskey and head massage - always predictable for that! Today's experience was 5* and inspired this 5* rating. Leanna was great and I'll be requesting her again.

At least one of the stylists who I've had lesser experiences with was in there today so I'd advise anyone to be aware that some stylists bring a big Great Clips vibe...
