This man was suggested to me by a friend, so I scheduled an appointment.

I have no idea why, but when my husband and I arrived to the appointment he was very harsh, waiving his hands, and saying, "Let's just say I have a conflict of interest and leave it at that. Have a good day. Goodbye now." He refused to provide service, suggest another CPA, nor explain the nature of his unnerved, hostile reaction to our presence.

I've never met this man in my life; and my husband had used the company once in the past citing no concerns. We were left baffled and uncomfortable for much of the morning. I understand when people have reasons they are unable to do a service, but to be so unprofessional that one cannot extrapolate, be calm, or otherwise appropriate? In his defense, I missed a voicemail stating we need to "find somewhere else to do business because I will not be working with you two." Had I received the voicemail, we would have not been in such an uncomfortable face to face situation. I've since learned this man is my neighbor and maybe there's some issue for this cause; but this could have been appropriately discussed. Even if it was as petty as you walk your dog weird, my buddy doesn't like you, etc.; that is fine if discussed like adults.

Nevertheless, I will not recommend this CPA to those with tax needs as there are other people equally qualified to perform accounting duties. I'm sorry sir, but I do not know you and have done nothing to warrant such ill behavior. My experience was one star at best.
