La Puente Mexican Restaurant

Loved the salsa and chips. They blend the salsa smooth, that's my preference so, fir mecthat was Well Done. I had the shredded chicken special (can't remember the name) it was delicious and filling, I opted for the rice and Beans on the side and added the delicious salsa to the mix.. Great food great service friendly and helpful staff.

This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants that I’ve ever been to. The food is delicious. It’s always clean and my favorite waiter memorizes everyone’s order and doesn’t even have to write it down and gets it accurate every single time.

The food is amazing, authentic Mexican— the tortillas are made in-house and were fantastic, and beans and rice done perfectly! Our entrees were delicious, fried ice cream was a treat!! Many thanks to Carlos for excellent recommendations and fantastic service. Many compliments to the chef. Will be back next time we visit Layton. 👌

Never fails to deliver. Great food. I usually get the 3 burritos smothered. This time I ordered the Carne Asada burrito and absolutely loved it. My wife had two tacos with beans and rice sides. All enjoyed.

The food was fresh and great quality, and our waiter came by to check on us often. The place is well decorated and clean, though the lack of music was a bit strange. Over all a great place to eat.

From the time we walked in and were greeted with a very warm welcome all the way to paying and out the door the service was excellent! The good was just amazing, and the portions were perfect for the price. I also have to mention the atmosphere here is very warm and inviting.

We fell in love with this restaurant when it was in Ogden and of course followed them to Layton. The service is always amazing, food is always hot and fresh, love their chips and salsa. Nothing bad to say here besides I'm sad they moved, but worth the drive for us!

I really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was fresh and it came out fast.
I can't say there was anything super unique about the flavors, but that didn't make it any less good. It was just your typical but delicious Mexican food.
The chips and salsa was really the only thing lacking. The salsa wasn't much of a flavor but it had good spice. Other than that, no complaints!

I always have big bday parties with 20 to 30 people. The service jessi/ Carlos the waiter gives us is amazing. They treat us like family. The food is always fresh. I'd definitely refer people to go eat there.

We go to La Puente for our favorite dish, MEXICAN STYLE RIBS! The LA Puente in Layton has perfected the Mexican Style Ribs. With the delicous rib sauce poured all over the ribs, refried beans, rice and homemade tortillas make this meal absolutely incredible! The customer service here is always great and with a smile. The restaurant area is always clean and fresh. Always a delicous and fun experience when we goto La Puente! So what are you waiting for?!?!????? GO GET SOME DELICOUS LA PUENTE RIGHT NOW!

La Puente is one of those places that's just consistently delicious. We always get the 2 smothered burritos with rice and beans and they never disappoint! Sometimes I'll just get it to-go, and it's ready in about 20 minutes.

Our waiter was awesome. He was very attentive and provided excellent service. The food was pretty good I just wish they actually had hot sauce(salsa). I like to spice up my food but other then that we enjoyed our meals.

Food here is consistently amazing every fine we come. Staff is attentive and always so nice. Definitely becoming a favorite!

We always hit LaPuente when we come to town! It's our first stop every time, and the food is consistently great! Best chicken enchiladas in a flour tortilla ever! We wish we had one where we live!!

Staff is friendly. Very accommodating to my special diet. Food is hot, fresh and good sized portions. Restaurant is clean and welcoming. Restroom is clean. We have become frequent visitors.

You guys, this place is hands down the best in the area. The owner is from Northern New Mexico so the food is legit. While you're waiting for your food, they bring you out chips and salsa. This picture is a beef burrito wrapped in a flour tortilla. There's so much flavor in their food! You can't go wrong with anything you order!

Without a doubt it was the best extra smothered chile verde burritos with onions and cheese that I have ever tasted. Order the three burrito plate, the leftovers heat up well. Seriously, you have to try these. They are OMG delicious, heaven on a plate. You will be mmmming during every bite. Even the price was amazing. We will be back...

Sorry folks, I forgot to do the photos. But I promise the food is phenomenal! I suffer from severe anxiety, so getting out and going into a restaurant is a big deal for me. I love that they post their busy peak times and their slow lulls. They are on point. My husband took me during a lull. True to post we were one of 3 couples. I was comforted and comfortable. Anyone with anxiety, agoraphobia, or has trouble being in a public setting knows how important info like this is and that it's mostly and reasonablely accurate.
Now the food !!! 😋 yummy as you know from othe restaurant posts. My taste and smell were wiped out when I got covid in 2021. So, I enjoy food by texture. I can tell you this was my favorite restaurant when it was located in ogden on 12th st. Well, just because they are in layton hasn't changed that. I ordered the Carne asada, chili verde smothered burrito, with extra cheese and onions. My husband ordered the chicken enchilada combo plate. Both plates were huge servings. My husband commented that all the home made flavors were there. Just how I make or my mom. I love ❤ 😍 that there was plenty of chili and cheese and it was loaded with Carne asada 😋! The texture was pure heaven. Tender meat, firm but soft tortillas, the chili verde smooth and silky. And so cheesy. I couldn't eat the avocado it feels like Elmer's glue in my mouth. But, im sure it was great. Like I said I have no taste. This is the good stuff like similar to what my grandma's made. Not fast food.
Go give it a shot!! Believe me I don't leave my house but maybe once every 6 to 8 months. But I did for this place.
