Midvale Mining Cafe & Catering

I went here to have a catch up with my grandma and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere! I really loved the old fashioned diner look, plus it was bustling and just had a nice vibe overall.

The servers were quick and polite. They also made sure to check in on us often and let us stay for a decent while after we were clearly finished eating so we could talk and catch up. The diner wasn't super full so that I'm glad we didn't feel rushed.

I got The Foreman with hamburger and eggs. It came with toast and hash browns too. The hash browns were a little on the wet or burnt side without much in between, but they were still yummy. The scrambled eggs were VERY nice and soft and the toast was crispy and delicious. Overall, the food was 9/10 (one point off for less than ideal hash browns).

I've only been once around lunch, but my experience was great overall! I definitely reccomend this place if you want a unique place to eat.

Coming from the cold mountain looking for mountain food, and a fresh cup of coffee, we found this good restaurant. Chicken was really good as the chicken steak was. Baked potato were hot and deli, scones great and fresh. In the beginning you receive a big plate of salad or a bowl of fresh soup. All the plates are great, and big in amount. The waitresses were kind, attentive and in a good mood, as you expect when are hungry and tired. Kudos to the kitchen for serving delicious food. The place is not fancy, but clean.

Ok everybody, I’ve been here multiple times and it’s always been great. They might not have a ton of parking but they do have a ton of great food. We came in and we’re seated immediately, and we ordered fairly quickly. We were chatting for less than 5 minutes and our food was already coming out to us. The food was amazing and we devoured the scones! All in all we were in and out with smiles on our faces and full stomachs full. I would highly recommend Midvale mining cafe to anyone!

This place deserves more that 5 stars.

I'm over here snowboarding, so trying to find a place that does really good, home cooked, hearty and filling meals at a great price was unheard of until I came across this little Cafe dinner.

I've been 5 times in the last 4 days and I'll be going again. They do amazing breakfasts, discounted main meals before 5pm and there's always a couple meals on special in the evening too, so eating here is also very affordable.

The staff are incredibly efficient, polite and very friendly. Despite how busy they always seem to be, the chefs still manage to produce amazing meals at almost fast food speeds.

Why would you choose to eat at fast food chains (if you can call it food) when you can eat proper food at a small private business like this... 🤷‍♂ Perfect for Hungary active people like myself. They're open early enough to grab breakfast and still make the first lifts on the mountain too.

But please don't take my word for it, give it a try. I can't see how anyone could be disappointed. The photos do not do it justice btw.

Great American food with great customer service. Made us very comfortable when we came in and the waitress was top notch! I encourage you to bring your family to this homey environment….😁

We are out of town and told that the locals eat here. Sure, glad we asked around this place has amazingly good food large portions. Waitress staff was kind, nice. Pleasant. Helpful. Just a wonderful place to go in and have a nice dinner. Most likely you will be bringing a doggy bag home.

I’ve been coming here basically my whole life. For most of our special occasions we come here and some of the waitress’s know us. The meals are cheap and huge! They are also delicious. And don’t even get me started on their scones they are delicious. We never leave without scones! They have amazing meals and such a cozy environment. It’s my favorite restaurant and for the past 19 years I have never had a single bad experience.

Great value Diner with terrific “home cooking” meals. I’ve eaten there two nights running. Prime Rib one night, the next night Chicken Kiev, both were delicious… l may go back for a third meal tomorrow..

My first thought when I walked in was, "How quaint." The decor is decades old. The layout lacks a flow. Don't make the mistake of judging this book by its cover.

The service was a breath of fresh air. Our server, Veronica, seemed genuinely happy to have my son and me there on a busy Saturday morning. She was attentive and kind.

The food took me by surprise. I had the chicken fried steak, eggs, and a scone. My son got biscuits and gravy w a sausage. Each item was *scrumptious.*

I can't wait to go back. It may not look like much, but it's got it where it counts.

This is one of the best place to eat a breakfast, cheap and delicious and the quality and quality is unbelievable....

The Wait, staff was awesomely attentive Omelet was hot and delicious but the sad thing was My boyfriend's chicken-fried breakfast was cold. the oil needed to be changed. Maybe more often
Or filter.

If you’re looking for a great diner old school diner in the area, this is it. My buddy and I were in town hitting the slopes for the week and had breakfast here every morning (M-F). One of the waitresses, Brook, took care of us 4 of the 5 times we were here. She was very attentive, pleasant and funny. The prices are very reasonable and the portions large making for an excellent value. I’ll be back every time I’m on the area.

We come here every morning after a 10-hour graveyard shift. The waitresses are always awesome and they always greet us with a smile. The plates are huge and the prices 💜💜💜 this place does get packed on the weekend so if you want to come and eat come before the rush. I will be going back in the morning for my chicken fried steak breakfast 💜💜💜💜 give this place a try you won't be disappointed.

A great small business feel! The wait staff are quick and offer great suggestions. I needed something low carb and they suggested a swap of hashbrowns for cottage cheese. Robust menu, and lots of mining memorabilia on display.

If you are super hungry , get the prime rib. It's a lot of food the carrots are soooo good. Anything here is great home cooking food. And the pasta salad you can buy to go if you're throwing a party or something yummy great pasta salad to- go....... But if I can make one suggestion,👍👍 Lately the Scones have been too thick and doughy. Not fully cooked. I LOVE ❤ your scones. Can you find a solution ? Im really looking forward to it. I will see you next Friday. We can't wait.

I have gotten breakfast 2 times this week. And both times it was awesome. I'm originally from Georgia but moved here because of my wife. Love the biscuits and gravy. Definitely will be back. I have read some reviews about this place and for the life of me I can't find out anything bad about this place. Plus my waitress is always super nice. We always sit at the booths.

We had the French toast special and the bacon was so hard you could not eat it unless you chomped on it for mega minutes. It might have been sidepork. The syrup was lacking in Maple flavor it was just really weak syrup and thin. The bread For the French toast was very good but the syrup made it not so great.
The soda needed carbonation calculation. We were disappointed because we heard so many good things about the placethe decor and the atmosphere and all that was great. They also offer lunch and dinner so those 2 could They also offer lunch and dinner so those 2 could be a lot better than breakfast

Great food and portions! Cool memorabilia all around the Cafe gives it a great vibe. We were in area to ski, and ate breakfast here before heading to the airport. Nice place to eat!

The food was amazing! I had a perfectly cooked steak ! It was seasoned perfectly as well! The scone was delicious! The macaroni salad was the best I ever had! The service was prompt and courteous! I would highly suggest this place !
