Only spot on six street that serves donuts until late at night. Taylor rich was amazing a had great customer service! We came on a Sunday night, and they had every doughnut available. They have a good variety of donuts in house. I love the carousel in the front that they have where they display all of the donuts that they have. As soon as you walk in a line forms by the side of the wall, and they have all of the merch that they sell on display as well, they have really good items for purchase.

Voodoo Doughnut is located between Brazos St and San Jacinto Blvd on Austin's infamous Sixth street (E 6th St).

I stopped into Voodoo Doughnut later in the day and was suprised there was no line. I've been to the Old Town Portland Oregon location before and waited in an extremely long line.

Voodoo Doughnut has a lot of themed donuts in addition to regular non-themed donuts. This location has a fairly large interior with a decent amount of tables and seats. There's also a stage close to the front door which is pretty cool.

The staff was very nice and friendly and waited patiently as I made a decision on a donut.

Parking can be though as it appears there's only metered street parking available. Sixth street wasn't very busy during my visit so I lucked out and got up front parking.

Excellent donuts. Don't expect light donuts, most are definitely dense and have a good size. A little pricey but it's a good sized/portion of donut and the flavors are always great. Personal favorite is the banana cream pie, great banana pudding filling, icing is smooth (almost creamy, as opposed to a hard icing), sweet taste with some nice cinnamon (not pictured since it was already eaten).

We’ve known about Voodoo for a while and were excited to visit. The place is odd in the best ways. The interior design as well as the doughnuts are not what a person expects when going out for a doughnut. The pink walls, chandeliers, spinning pastry display, wall art…awesome. The doughnuts themselves were a 10/10. For sure a spot to check out.

The vibes here were spot-on. Amazing donut variety with a fun, friendly twist and unique interior decor. Delicious menu selection with dietary options available upon request. I took myself on a donut date here and I loved it!

Definitely worth the hype! The donuts themselves are fresh and full of flavor, while the actual shop itself is really cool and how they display the donuts is super unique. I would highly recommend, especially for dessert!

Cool place. Will definitely go back and try coffee and a different doughnut. Doughnut was good. Had layer in the night so I want try when super fresh. Had a band setting up which is neat for a doughnut shop.

I came in for the leap year frog and it was awesome. It had the delicious Boston crème inside plus the frog just made you smile. They were only 2.29 and the service was so awesome! Thanks VooDoo for giving this frog lover a little magic ✨ 🐸 🍩

This place has been on my list for a long time since I saw them on TV. The donuts are very sweet so just know that going in. They have a great place that is very lively decorated. I had the voodoo doll, butterfinger and coffee cake donut. They have a huge selection of donuts so you will have no lack of choice. Glad I got to visit this place while in town.

Been wanting to try voodoo doughnuts after hearing about them when they got popular years ago. We ended up going twice (late night and morning) and enjoyed our doughnuts both times. The doughnuts we tried were soft and tasted fresh and were creatively decorated. No lines or waits either time we went.

If Willy Wonka had a rebellious phase and decided to open a donut shop, it would be Voodoo Donut in Downtown Austin. This place is less of a bakery and more of a carnival for your taste buds.

I dove headfirst into the 'Dream Weaver' – a donut so sinfully good, I'm pretty sure it whispered sweet nothings to me as I took the first bite. It's like biting into a cloud, if clouds were made of delicious, sugary dough and a hint of magic.

Then came the fried cannolis. These aren't just cannolis; they're like the rockstars of the pastry world. Eating them made me feel like I was backstage at a Rolling Stones concert, but with less guitar and more cream filling.

The soundtrack to this culinary concert? None other than Lady Gaga. Her tunes in the background added that extra pizzazz, making me feel like I was in a music video where the donuts were my co-stars. I half expected Gaga to pop out with a donut dress.

The names of the donuts here are a rollercoaster of creativity. It's like they held a brainstorming session during a fever dream. But here's a pro tip: order what you like, not just because the name sounds cool. You don't want to end up with 'The Suspiciously Salty Surprise' just because it sounded intriguing.

In conclusion, Voodoo Donut is where diets go to die a glorious death. It's a kaleidoscope of flavors, colors, and sounds, all wrapped up in a funky, fun atmosphere. Just remember, you're there for the donuts, not just to say you've been. And maybe, just maybe, you'll leave a little more Gaga than you came in. 🍩🎶🎉🤘🎤

This is the third VooDoo donuts, and it did not disappoint. The staff was rude, but the donuts were awesome! The homer was soft and sweet, the dirt was stale but still good. They were out of a lot of the donuts.

Trying new ones each time I go. This time I got the Ring of Fire which has Cayenne Pepper- it really wasn’t too bad on spice. Also got the buttermilk which was a great selection too!!

Voodoo Doughnut on 6th street takes credit cards!! I’ve been a number of times but finally am reviewing it. I got the Butterfinger donut and the Oreo one. So good! Friendly staff.

I came in yesterday night bc I had a gnarly sweet tooth. Luckily it’s walking distance to my hotel. I went in for a maple bar but I also got a paradise donut, looked good. The maple bar didn’t disappoint. The dough was soft and fluffy and the icing was plentiful, smooth, creamy and tasty. Would come back. I’m sure it’s a staple here in Austin. There’s one in Dallas-Deep Ellum but it’s not as good.

A few years ago my daughter and I visited Austin and purposely booked our hotel 2 blocks from Voodoo in order to get many visits in throughout our stay.

Back in Austin 2 weeks ago and back at this location several times. I had two sharable experiences with staff. First was Meagan whilst organizing a potential custom order on the outstanding vegan doughnuts. She patiently answered any and all of my questions even writing down the information for me to refer back to. Her smile and attention seemed sincere the entire time.
Several evenings later I returned buying several large boxes of doughnuts to bring to Florida as a gift for a dear friend. At that time, Jill helped me. She made suggestions, small talk and ever so friendly and kind. I was really happy she was there to help. Because of her personality, I bought even more than I intended to.
I've seen how busy this location becomes, I know it can be intense and sometimes difficult but love that I've had such wonderful service each and every time.
Doughnuts are a fun experience in our lives and buying your doughnuts should be a really enjoyable outing. I continue to find it that way.

Only sadness is that your vegan selection has decreased. Last visit you had many more choices. Please consider everyone is able to eat vegan doughnuts.

Fantastic customer service, equally great (fresh) doughnuts!
I tried their iced oat milk latte and it the espresso was spot on.

I went on a Saturday during a street fair and it was surprisingly not at crowded as it could have been. It was hard to see that they were even open so that might have been why.

The building is old as dirt but the interior looked well decorated with some pretty unique art pieces.

Would come back again. Fun place to chill, drink coffee and eat fresh doughnuts. I went with the chocolate glazed cake doughnut and it was not overly sweet. Good balance for having with coffee.
