Casa Cavazos Restaurant

This little hidden gemnis wonderful! Thelma is great 👍. The food is excellent. I hope by posting this review it doesn't get too big. Lunch is busy but it's a quiet little place for an intimate dinner.

How do we not go here more often? We love supporting our local community, the story of casa cavazos is beautiful, opened in 1980, and the decor reflects the time period but it's clean, good music, a big tv. We loved the light and airy chips and hot sauce was spicy. My chicken relleno was stuffed full of meat, with rice beans and toasty homemade flour tortillas.
Husband had the Banderas enchilas and all 3 were great! 👍
Oh and BYOB! No corking fees 😀

We have been customers of CC for years. All services have continued for the best. It is one of the best restaurants in my area.

Food out at 8:15 pm...hot and delicious food. I took my guacamole salad added ranch omj sooooo good. I really like that you automatically get corn tortillas at a lot of other Mexican Restaurants you have to pay extra here its the flour ones thats extra $'s....
My cousin and I (especially her, loves 💘 this place) she did though have to send back her soft cheese taco it was VERY TOUGH (Rubbery). My chicken sour cream enchiladas were Awesome as the rice and beans are too. I got iced tea (rather a margarita 🍸 but they do not serve alchol 😢to drink) (sweet) it was perfect.
Telma the waitress immediately brought her a hot new soft cheese taco it was great.
We finished our dinner at 9:00 pm. As others still inside we sat and packed up our left overs and relaxed and talked. The total bill for 2 people with A LOT of food was $40.00+ $ a great price for great food and great music and Excellent service from Telma and a very lovely atmosphere.

Ok if you are searching reviews right now because you want Mexican food, just get in the car and start over to this place. This is absolutely the most delicious Mexican food I’ve eaten. And the hot sauce…. We go and buy it to take home regularly. Go here and eat. It’s really good y’all.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in the whole wide world ! Casa Cavazos has been around for as long as I can remember and is definitely a hidden gem. There isn't anything on the menu that isn't amazing!! Hands down THE BEST Mexican restaurant in Dallas !

We had a very large group show up to eat at Casa Cavazos, for lunch after an event....Our waitress was outstanding and the food was fresh, delicious, like homemade. We loved it.

There was only waitress, the cook was also the man behind the counter, and one table cleaner and yet the food and the service was great. We didn't mind the wait due to the power outage and most places weren't open and I'm so glad we stayed. Definitely full. Definitely going back.

Casa Cavazo`s can`t be beat. The food there is excellent and always consistent. The staff there is fantastic and Thelma is a sweetheart and then some. If you want really good food and large portions, this is the place to go :)

One of the best authentic Mexican food restaurants indeed!! I tried the burritos and also the tacos on flour tortillas!! The servers were fast and friendly; the food reminded me of my mother's recipes!! I shed a tear for her; somehow they had stolen my mothers tamale recipe! lol excellent, well priced great atmosphere!!!! Maxx

Love this place. Always have good food. Their nachos are great. Really good service. Absolutely love our server,Telma. She is so pleasant. She makes the whole experience a better one. Would highly recommend this restaurant. ❤

Love this place. Great weekday staff, quick service and great prices!! Just don't go on weekends cause the waitress is horrible. She stays on her phone so you'll get cold food and no drink refills.

Always good eating and great service! If your meal isn't to your liking, they will take it back and prepare it again or offer you something else. The servers are very knowledgeable of their entrées.

This is my Moms and I go to place for Mexican food. Yes it’s outdated but the food and service is great. Give it a try!
