Great place to spend a couple hours walking around and learning about nature. The staff here are very friendly and helpful. The kids loved it here! The exhibits in the Lobby are free and so is the nature walk (highly recommend). There is an exhibit room which requires a small fee to enter and explore. They have a small gift shop area too which is very affordable. We want to come back when it's a bit warmer and drier. I bet it's beautiful in the spring!

Been here a few times, first when it was being built, then developed, and now it seems to be a genuinely fine science center full of fun and interactive items suitable for small groups of maybe 10-15 kids, possibly upwards of 25 (in the paid exploration part).

The price is absolutely affordable. And the experience is worth it, if only to show the kiddos some of the local wildlife, including some venomous snakes as a cautionary tale.

And again, absolutely worth the very affordable price! I sure wish their summer and school year programs didn't fill up so quickly!

So I have not personally experienced this center YET....but our car broke down this was the closest building and we asked if we could come inside to stay cool and the receptionist was AMAZING. She was so sweet and helpful showing my kids around. My toddlers warmed up to her IMMEDIATELY. I will definitely be going to the events when I'm off and looking into putting my son into this center. She deserves a raise. Plus the place was beautiful from the little we got to see. We could have broke down anywhere so I'm so thankful it was here.. THANK YOU.

My son and I had an amazing time. The staff was super welcoming and helpful. Elley was very knowledgeable and helpful. She gave us a tour and answered all of my questions. This place is a hidden gem, if you have kiddos; they’ll love the place.

My kids had so much! The Discovery Room is incredible, and has a lot of fun, interactive games and activities for kids if all ages. They also have live reptiles you can look at, and beautiful trails you can walk. We will definitely come back again and again.

This place is amazing! There's a ton of land, multiple entrances, and so many walking/biking trails with lanes. I love the fact there's multiple playgrounds, picnic areas, and even an upper body workout station. Perhaps best part is the science center, which is quite hidden and blends in with the environment. It's beautiful and has a lot of info for all ages. They host events throughout the year and post info about wildlife. Even, concrete paths and lots of grass so everyone can effort differently!

I recently visited River Legacy Science Center, and I can confidently say that it is a haven for both kids and adults who appreciate the great outdoors. This place truly exceeded my expectations in every aspect.

First and foremost, the center's fall festivals are an absolute blast! The events are thoughtfully planned and engaging, offering a wide range of activities that cater to all age groups. From interactive exhibits to hands-on experiments, there is something for everyone to enjoy and learn from. The staff members are knowledgeable and passionate, making the experience even more enriching.

One of the highlights of my visit was exploring the nature trails. These trails are a paradise for nature lovers and adventurers alike. The trails are well maintained, offering a safe and enjoyable experience for visitors. Walking along these paths, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in the beauty of the surrounding flora and fauna. The serene atmosphere and the variety of wildlife sightings made it an unforgettable experience.

What sets River Legacy Science Center apart is its dedication to education and conservation. The center provides valuable educational resources and programs that promote environmental awareness and appreciation. It's not just about having fun; it's about learning and understanding our natural world. This commitment to education truly shines through in all aspects of the center's offerings.

Whether you're a parent looking to engage your kids in hands-on learning or an adult seeking a rejuvenating outdoor experience, River Legacy Science Center is the perfect destination. The combination of exciting festivals, well-kept nature trails, and a strong emphasis on education make it a standout attraction. I highly recommend visiting this remarkable place and experiencing the wonders of nature firsthand.

RLSC is a great place for your kids to learn about native plants and animals. It is affordable ($3 per child) and the employees are friendly. Additionally, some of the play areas are free to access! From time to time they have traveling exhibit and do not charge a surcharge to access these exhibits. I also highly suggest heading to the River Legacy Park 2 minutes down the street to run off any leftover energy!

The staff here were extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Nature and Science and that translated to our children so well. There are smaller exhibits and play areas inside as well as a room with binoculars for viewing Wildlife over the pond. The classrooms were Hands-On and the kids were able to touch smaller insects in the dirt in bins which was great for them. I highly recommend this place!

Fun spot! Staff was informative and kind and everything was really clean. There are some reptiles in the free lobby area to look at and a small fee to enter the bigger activity area. We spent about an hour here. Fun air conditioned activity for the summer!

Visited for a day from out of town with my 3 and 5 year old and we had a grand old time. The volunteers were welcoming and helpful. There was a clean, tidy indoor space with the option to pay a nominal fee for a "discovery room" for the kiddos. The free space still had toys and some exhibits to enjoy. Trails and playgrounds also dot the park and we were happy to take advantage of them.

For the locals, the summer camps seemed lively and enjoyable from my observation

An absolute amazing and fun place for children. We had a ferret demonstration, saw many animals, nature walk with an AR app and learned a lot. It’s great that kids can connect with nature here and enjoy a lot of activities.

It's a cute little Museum. I’d say a 15-25 minute walkthrough inside. The staff was very kind and helpful. Not too much to do here, but it’s worth a visit!

The staff make this place great. This a good place to bring your kids for 1 hour or so but the staff (especially Lisa) are SO helpful, kind, and rich in animal knowledge that it makes it worth a visit.

The living science center is quaint and located by short nature paths (less than 10 min walk) by a scenic pond.

Inside the science center there are mostly amphibians and reptiles to view behind glass. The discovery room itself (which costs $5) is a little small but a great enclosed place to let your kids run (responsibly) free for 30 minutes with relaxed observation. There are some fun physically engaging video games that help children learn more about animals.

Came here for training class on a weekend through REI and was able to check out the exhibits during breaks, this is a really cool place for all ages and has lots of information and educational stuff for everyone. The people that run the facility are awesome and love to talk to you about what they do and why they do and you can see how passionate they are about it. I would love to come back and explore more of the outside trails as well when the foliage is nicer as well!

We had a very positive experience with the summer camp program. It is difficult to find programs for kids under five and we are so lucky we found this place. Our son looked forward to each day. Well priced. Great communication. Easy registration process.

We went to learn and boy did we! The naturalist showed the kids some snakes and turtles and she was a wealth of information about them. 45 minutes of instruction was a little long for the younger kids in our group but perfect for the older kids. I would say bring an interesting activity for your younger children to do once they tune out of the long talk. The science center itself is delightful and every corner is interesting. Every single employee was friendly and seemed to like kids. Our homeschool group was very satisfied with River Legacy as a field trip. Definitely try to go in nice weather because the trails are great.

My grandkids love the interactive screens and exhibits at the Living Science Center. It's like playing outside when it's too hot (or cold or wet) to be outside. And we learn about the wildlife at the park.
