Ennis Family Restaurant

We had a great lunch here! We ordered the chicken fried steak that had been hand cut and battered. It was quite good. The service was very nice as well. The restaurant itself is a bit run down (including the bathrooms) but that's some of the charm I suppose.

The food was wonderful. The staff was nice and helpful. Really good people and atmosphere. The place was clean. Follow me for more reviews!!!!

Breakfast was delicious! Pancakes were the best! Husband ordered the hand battered chicken fried steak and he said was delicious. Waitress was sweet and service was fast! A little hole in the wall place with great food and great service!

Traveling through on our way to Ft. Hood and stopped for lunch. Best pancakes I've ever had. The staff was friendly and very attentive. We will definitely eat here again.

My brother just moved to Ennis. Flew down for a visit and found this place for breakfast. The food was awesome! Chicken fried steak and eggs, amazing. The staff were awesome! Especially the young lady that took our order. Try it out. I will be going back again.

I travel the whole country driving truck. I meet all kinds of people, but I always in enjoy texas. I am always treated so kindly. This place though, showed a level of compassion that is just beyond anything I've ever seen. Texas is shut down. Huge snow storm, and now a huge ice storm. These people still brought me food to my truck down the road. My heart is full from the consideration that was shown today. Plus the food is really tasty, and a really good price!!!!!

I was passing thru and had a home cooked meal craving. Ordered the porkchops! It was exactly what I wanted, I did have it grilled! Very good food!

You may be weary when you walk in.The place looks run down but food was good and the service very attentive. I would love to see them get more business. Over all a potential gem of a restaurant.

Rebecca is awesome and always takes care of us. Chicken Fried Steak is the best, and so are the Biscuits & Gravy if you get breakfast.
