Merit Coffee

Great coffee shop a few blocks from the downtown Austin Public Library. Half white was excellent and my pour over was good, too. Baked goods surprisingly tasty, even in late afternoon. Not a huge place but WiFi, clean bathrooms, and outlets make for a good work spot if you can get a seat.

This was one of THE BEST lattes I’ve ever had in not only Austin, but probably ever. Not only is this establishment beaaautiful with lots of natural light and both indoor and outdoor seating, but it’s convenient location makes it easily accessible whether you’re driving or walking. Staff was super friendly and walked us through any questions about the menu we had and our drinks were made quick. It’s a shame I don’t live in Austin because I know this would be my regular spot.

Great cinnamon rolls for $6 (with tax and tip). It can get really busy on weekend mornings but the staff are super nice and helpful.

Cool coffee shop on the corner. Seriously though after a long day of being all around town, I was in need of a really good double espresso shot. And this place came through.

Atmosphere was cool and artistic, they got their decor game working strong. It’s in a great location too but it’s a pretty small space. I enjoyed the visit, I might have even Shazam’ed a song while I was there lol.

Their restrooms are locked that requires combination, and the WiFi password is right there too.

Overall a dope coffee shop I’ll definitely be back.

This is my favorite stop for coffee in Austin's Seaholm area. The employees are both friendly and helpful. Orders are made with care and come out pretty quick too. It's small, and fills up a lot, but that's to be expected when you have great service and product. I'll keep coming back!

Austin officially has a great coffee shop. Don’t get me wrong, I love all all old ones and the new ones, but the coffee here is the best. I usually ask for the espresso stats and these guys had unusual numbers. To my surprise, they poured an amazing shot.

Place - plenty of room, modern and not too loud.

Price - reasonable

Staff - friendly and knowledgeable

Excellent coffee. A cool coffee haven after a hot walk along the riverside. Or a shopping trip to the nearby supermarket (TJ). Their coffee has a great complex flavour. Best appreciated as an espresso, Their Flat White is good too.

A dog friendly cafe. :) Nice to sit in the shade on the bench outside and watch the world go by.

Came here to redeem my birthday gift and had a wonderful time! Everyone here is friendly and one of a kind! The London fog was delicious. And their cereal milk cold brew was on point!

I was visiting from San Antonio, and curious to see how Merit does things in Austin...

The coffee is still carefully made; and even though there was a line, most people were chatting, dogs were sitting peacefully, and the Gluten-Free Pastry options were plentiful.

Had a great coffee break here. Will visit again.

This is the best coffee I have ever had in my entire life. We went at least 3 days in a row for our fix of hazelnut lattes and it tasted perfect every single time. We also did a delivery on a lazy day for us. Drinking the hazelnut latte with whole milk was a religious experience because no other coffeeshop has ever made a coffee as good and consistently delicious. Even the smell of the latte was absolutely perfect.

Different baristas made our lattes perfect each time so it has to be the recipe. I don’t live in Austin but I am considering moving for the hazelnut latte. If any part of the recipe could be shared, this could save me from Austin rent. Please, I won’t tell anyone the recipe or ingredients 🥹

Right in the heart of downtown austin hails this cozy, convenient and quirky small coffee place. Get way to meet new people and explore places in surround area. Merit brings good mix of coffee flavors. I end up getting two diverse coffees from menu.

ivd been goin to this place for more than 4
years and the ambience and coffee is great. it does get busy so seating is not guaranteed. clean bathroom is a plus. was excited about the vegan oatmeal bar, but now i regret not getting the hippie bar. the hippie bar is a sweet, chewy, pseudo trailmix kinda peanutbutter brownie. deffo rec if youre a granola gal or if u like PB

This place is such a vibe. You can smell the coffee before you walk in from down the street. It’s so delicious too. The coffee is fresh and the baristas are so nice and patient. My husband got a cold brew and I got an iced mocha. Must try!!!

Love the vibe at this place! Really bright and airy and in a great spot downtown near the Trader Joe’s. I love how it’s a coffee shop where you can actually get things done, the music isn’t loud enough to be distracting but just enough to set a chill mood. I got a match latte with almond milk which was good it was the legit kind of matcha so that was nice!

Great tasting latte and cappuccino. The espresso is really good, so add an extra shot to small latte.

Delicious coffee! We both ordered their current specials and they did not disappoint. I was blown away by their gluten friendly pastry options!! A must visit for a quick bite!

Very cute coffee shop. NYC prices but it's good coffee. Tacos were very good too! Very happy to find out they have vanilla, caramel, and chocolate flavors for coffee. We had a cold brew and an iced latte and they were both delicious! Breakfast served until 11AM I recommend!
