Republic Square

Nice greenspace in downtown Austin - we visited the area for Foodie Fest. Lots of places to sit, beautiful trees, shaded picnic area and plenty of surrounding parking. The only negative when we were there - one of the two restroom sink faucets didn't work, no soap, the only hand air dryer didn't work and the door on one of the two toilets didn't lock.

Everyday I have been Blessed To Be Able To Live & Experience....Living Downtown Central. I leave my apartment & in 3 minutes im on the LADYBIRD Lake Trail! 15 minutes walking I Am On Congress & Caesar Chavez! From there....
5 miles of beauty & stumbling across whatever.

This was an unexpected ending to an amazing walk. I am walking away 20 years of Stalking & Being Terorrized! For Me: it beats talking to a stranger about what I've Endured & Survived. It definitely is A Blessing To Be Able To Do This Therapy: without any drugs....at All. Is It easy? No, it is not! Is it working for me? I've lost 13 lbs of fat, & 3 inches off my waist, & stomach.👈🏾😳
Yaba daba Dooooo!! It is always only a thought away. However, each step, each mile the anght & Anguished Filled, life lasting memories & raw trauma are put into the Vault Of My Soul.

It’s a nice tranquil place in the city with some green space and a coffee shop with a toilet. It’s a good place to take a break and people watch or let your dog go to the bathroom.

Fun Location in Downtown Austin.The new upgrades to the park are amazing! Very lovely park that hosts the Farmers Market on the the weekends. It's also where the main bus stops are so you can connect to any route headed south over the bridge.

Nice relaxing place to chill enjoy the music and people construction it's part of everything you would want to do and they also have farmers market Pop up shop events venues

Pokemon Go had community day here the other day and it was so awesome to see so many austinites are still active go players. Even had one guy show up in Team Rocket gear. It was all around a great time.

Well laid out square in the city! Love the statues, and it's beautiful at night too!

This place is amazing. You can ride the scooters you can rent around and around and raise in its superfine. You can feed the birds my little ones love to Chase them. This park Is also where they have the farmers market which makes it even more exceptional. The statues they have are really nice and the landscaping there is beautiful with the city wrapped around it. It's a good spot to sit under the large oak trees and relax. People do yoga out on the grass that's taking care of really well. Side note be careful there are some fire ant beds every now and then. My family enjoyed the trip here every time

Republic Square, now finished remodeling. Is very beautiful. Very pleasant place to just chill and read a book, or listen to music, or do yoga, or just hang out. After its remodeling finished it looks , and feels, very pleasant.
The Farmer's Market takes place there every Saturday morning and it becomes more attractive with, besides the vendors, live music and other attractions. This is a very clean park. The Downtown Austin Alliance are doing an excellent job in keeping this park clean. Besides, they are very friendly and helpful. They are there all day long.
Some people say it's a quiet place in the middle of the downtown, I would say; not really quiet but very relaxing. You can still hear the noise of the busses, since is also a main bus stop, and is right in front of it.
If you come to the park in the morning better bring a tarp or some plastic to set underneath the blanket you spread on the grass to sit on. Why? The grass is always very wet in the mornings.
Do not smoke or drink alcoholic beverages without permission. It's an alcohol-tabacco-free environment. But, when concerts and events are going on all you can drink and smoke all you want (I think).
If you see Joy Dolluxe say hi, she will give you a good conversation, awesome foot massage if you ask (for ladies only) and help you have a fabulous day. she's a very kindhearted and friendly Venezuelan-American trans woman whose positive vibes are very contagious even though she's homeless and struggling to get by.
Please, help keep the park clean. Clean after your dog. There are also landfill trash cans and recycling trash cans, be mindful of that. Together we can made this place a better place to hang out.
Mind that now with the "Lime" and "Bird" scooters fever everyone tries to ride inside the park which is prohibited. So if you are riding those things keep in mind that you are not allowed to ride inside the park.

Fantastic had a great time tonight!

Under construction... construction workers kind and helpful to folks needing directions...not only once but consistently. People here smile a lot at each other. Also nice park setting to sit and get lunch. Be mindful of others and continue to use trash cans to keep our city pretty. 😉

Beautiful area for the farmer's market that they have here. I haven't spent much time in Republic Square otherwise but it's a welcoming space with various areas for shade and a fair amount of greenery.

Beautiful downtown Austin park, lots of crazy people at the bus stop. Bathrooms are accessable and clean.

Republic Square Park in downtown Austin is a public park with a varied history. When in this park there is always an interesting array of visitors.

Located in the heart of downtown Austin ❤, it's a beautiful, historic part of our great state. It's also a major hub of our Metro bus transportation system. Has any time of the day you can find all walks of life, from business people to homeless people, and everyone in between. Therefore it's quaint and sometimes comical. It is pet friendly and kid friendly. A true Austin heritage. And ,as they say on the streets, bar none.

I love this place. It can be serene one minute and chaotic the very next.

Nobody getting into fights lately so that's good.

I come here for summer sunset yoga class every Tuesday at 7:30pm. Amazing place, dj, free snacks and water. The restroom is clean. Lots of ppl, beautiful energy 😇
