Great spot during the week when there are fewer people around. You have to book your RV spot in advance because weekends are hard to come by. Feels like you’re away from the city in peace when there. I don’t like alot of people jammed pack around me when camping. Although, comparatively there’s a good amount of space between each site with lots of trees. Usually, it’s just me and a couple of visitors and the dog. I’m able to work remotely in peace and take a bike ride on a lunch break with beautiful scenery. The full hookup sites are hard to get for extended days. I downsized from a 36 ft rig with 50 amps to a small C with 30 amps and there are plenty of sites to accommodate me now. The 30amp sites do not have sewer hookup but there are a couple of dump stations on the way out. I’m local and keep my coach in storage nearby. So when I’m coming home from a long trip and need to dump, they allow you to enter and dump for $5 bucks. That’s awesome. Great people who run the park and they are cutting the grass and cleaning consistently each morning. I absolutely recommend this lake. Beware of Coyotes. They’re not interested in you but proceed with caution. They like an early morning stroll back to the woods to sleep during the day. This is when I’ve spotted them the most. You can hear them howling at night. Never leave your pet tied up outside after dark. My old pup hates being inside so I keep her on a 30 foot leash and watch her while I’m working during the day. I left her collar attached to her rope tie out one night and the next morning it was chewed off and no where in sight. The rope was wet where it was chewed. This is also a Great Lake to kayak in. I’ve had many wonderful kayak tours around the park. Lots of birds of all sorts, including heron and ducks to enjoy along the way.

This is a beautiful well maintained park with covered picnic shelters right on the edge of Joe Pool lake. There is a large variety of sites from tent sites to full hook ups with 50 Amp electric. The group area is perfect for family gatherings or groups. There are hotel style rooms and cabins also available. This park is awesome!

We absolutely love this park and have been back 4 times now. I was hesitant to post a good review, because I wanted to keep it low-key, but it's awesome.

The hiking trails are nicely kept up, and the scenery is second to none.

We like how far apart the rv spaces are and each one has a nice little gazebo.

The rv spots are paved, not the best, but at least they are paved. Never had any issues with the connections and we always have good wifi within the park.

All the people are friendly, both employees and guests. The police patrol through regularly and it gives a nice safe feeling.

There is a big grocery and shopping center about 3 miles away, yet you feel like you are super secluded in the park. Lots of wildlife throughout.

We will be returning several more times this year.

The front attendant was friendly and helped us quickly!
There was tons of room, loads of bathrooms and everything is well maintained.
the trails were perfect to take a stroller and dog on!
The playground was massive and well maintained as well! Will definitely be back if we have time.

We had a fantastic time out at Loyd Park this weekend! Beautiful campsite, spacious, shaded, well kept. Huge, peaceful, wooded campground with miles of road to bike ride on. The beach was clean and nice - and the water was so relaxing to float. We visited the camp store and sat on the porch rocking chairs to eat ice cream. It was our first visit to camp there but it won't be the last! We are already planning a return visit!

Wanted to spend the weekend away with family, for an early birthday gift and because we all needed it. But always a great time, love how they have trails you can walk, love the golf carts you can rent and the playground for the kids is another great thing about the park.

This small park carries quite a surprising punch! Very quiet, beautiful scenery, extremely courteous and helpful staff make this park a must go to place for some weekend rest and relaxation. Cleanest restroom and shower facilities I've ever experienced and two thumbs up for the individual shower rooms providing maximum privacy.

My family and I enjoyed it very much. There wasn't a long wait like last time, but now I see why. It was really relaxing and clean. The restrooms were very well kept. We barbequed and fished . overall we enjoyed it very much.

Great place to camp or go RVing. There's ample space between spots so you have plenty of privacy. The views of the lake are beautiful and seems to be a popular fishing spot. Staff was always friendly. The public restrooms were tidy, however, the showers appeared somewhat neglected. Overall a pleasant place to stay.

I love going out here. This year marks our second year going for my husbands birthday and our anniversary. We had a blast last year and it'll be better this year. Biking, fishing, swimming, canoeing, kids play area, volleyball nets and the ducks and squirrels will walk right up to you if they want what you have.

Very helpful reservation staff. We could not level up our motorhome in our reserved spot, and they accommodated our needs very well with an alternative camp site.

We love to bike thru the park and check out all the RVs and boats it's like being at a RV show! The lake is nice for a quick dip and the tables and grills are always ready for us to relax and eat! Great stay...we will be back often! Oh and the Park Hosts are very nice and not bug a boos. LoL

Well let me just say that a friend of my husband invited us here to camp out with them they got there Monday and if only we knew how much fun we would be having out there we could have gone on Monday also but unfortunately we got there in Wednesday but let me just say it was the best 2 days of camping and just leaving everything else behind. The kids loved this place so much they actually wanted to live there😅 now they won't stop asking when we'll be going back. Over all, place is very clean including bathrooms. Loved this place so much

If you don't want to get up early (6/7a.m.) and save a good spot at Lynn Creek, reserve a campsite with a 2 day minimum at Loyd Park. It's completely worth it for convenience. There is electric and water hook ups as well as a firepit (can't find these as Lynn Creek). They also have a swimming area, playground, boat dock and ramp, fishing pier, volleyball court and softball field. If you aren't into camping, can leave and come back the next day. There's someone there 24/7 at the entrance/exit.

We watched the eclipse from the location and it was perfect but I could imagine spending time here if I lived in the area. Clean and well kept.

Great place to just get away, reconnect with family, and disconnect! Minutes away from civilization for food or coffee. My only negative experience is that because this is a great place for family and friends your campsite neighbors can get loud at night so be prepared to have something to cancel that out especially if you have kiddos who are light sleepers. Even with that I still highly recommend Loyd Park to give you and your family a great time!

My husband and I love camping at Loyd Park. We tent camp and can find shady campsites and a lot of them are secluded. That's important for us. We usually stay for about 7 days. We have a lot of camping gear so it takes us awhile to set up and take down. They have upgraded some bathrooms and they're really nice. Separate rooms not just stalls. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a store where you can buy things that you might have forgot and you can rent kayaks. You can bring your own firewood or buy theirs. The sites have a covered picnic table and firepit and usually a grill. Come stay here for camping or a day trip. You won't be disappointed.
