Customer service was very helpful. Setting up service for my client so there was some confusion. But she walked me thru what she needed and from us what was needed to get service for him. Thank you and continue being good with customer service.

The best you can ask for in a utility is when you call them with a problem they resolve it fast, and then you forget about them all other times. Austin energy does a great job of both.

My bill has been triple what it normally is for the last 3 months and no one can explain to me why because I’ve done every conservation effort they advise. They put me on some payment plan without explaining it’s terms and I now have an almost $900 balance that again no one can explain. Austin energy is run by thieves who charge for things and can’t even explain why or what’s being charged.

They let someone else set up service under my husbands name and make us fix it instead of resolving it themselves. Worst headache of a company to be stuck with as an Austin resident

Took two days to even acknowledge there was a power outage in my house/neighborhood. I’ve been without power for 3 days now with no sign of when it’s coming back, for the most minimal bad weather. A little ice and the whole city loses power for days on end. Ya’ll need to figure this out already

This company is bad. I cut back on my electricity to save energy because of the summer rate, turns out my bill is $100.09 more. I called and they said oh when you cut your AC back on at night it works harder to cool the place because your AC been off all day. So if I leave it on I'm waisting electricity but if I turn it off in the day and then back on night I end up using more apparently!!! What a rip off!!!!

Terrible customer service protocols and communication. Similar to the other reviews, I had a payment issue (which is a little suspicious) and I was charged an additional $200 deposit. Apparently, this issue went on for 2 months and they did not notify me until it was too late, and now I'm having a lot of issues with them. It would have been such a simple fix if they had just sent me a quick email or letter asking to resolve it. I should have been logging into my account and manually checking that my payments were going through, but I had autopay set up and got my statements each month and no reason to believe anything was wrong. BIG MISTAKE! I tried to speak with several representatives about this issue to get things resolved, which ended up being a huge waste of time because even the specialists couldn't do anything to help me. So in total, I spend about 4 hours on the phone trying to resolve something with no success. I'm currently trying to find another service provider, I want nothing to do with this company...especially after reading all of the similar reviews. Very scammy!

So many people haven’t had power for days in ends and so much money has been lost because of their slow work. Peoples food have gone bad, people have been waisting money on hotels that they don’t have enough money for, they leave thousands of people in the cold because of their slow work. They haven’t picked up the trees from the line in my neighborhood, so many of us don’t have electricity and it’s damaged many’s people’s budget. they don’t worry till it’s them selfs in this situation

May 2 2022, last week I spent two whole days on hold to solve a payment issue (special account not part of my online account); this week I spent two hours on hold in the morning and when I asked for a call back, I got one in 2 hours with a recording that said no agent was available to help and that an agent would call me within a week. In the afternoon I was the 48th customer on hold at 1:00 pm and I finally made it to the end of the line at 3:15pm. A very nice agent told me that not everyone is back in person and that many agents are working remotely (or not!). I needed answers so I spent 3 days on this issue. I am writing to my councilmember and to Mayor Steve Adler, and suggest everyone do this as well.

The absolute worst company you have no choice but to work with. If 0 stars were posivble I guarantee they’d have a lower rating. I’m guessing because they are the only option they do not care about service whatsoever. I’ve literally been left on hold by an operator who didn’t want to admit she was wrong so she put me on hold to act like she was going to look into my issue further, when really she processed my stuff and just left me to wait thinking she hadn’t or couldn’t help me. The system finally hung up on my after about half an hour. Then I had to call back and wait another half hour to talk to someone who told me I was already processed and taken care of. No consideration. No professionalism. Just rude attitude, ignorant employees. One of every ten will actually help you and be polite, and that’s if you can even get anyone on the phone.

Power is still out, and when i report it the system will say that its been reported only to turn around and say that no outage has been reported. You people are the absolute worst and i really wish i could give you less then one star
