Laid back place with a great shot selection, you want to try everything. The bartender was really good at suggesting shots for my girlfriend. Bonus for the smoking area. Also, I sat on the commode and somehow became King of England.

Cheers doesn't just have shots they also have great cocktails!!

Great music and drinks on a Friday night. The bartender was very friendly too.

It was our last night in Austin walking around the Dirty 6 and one of the bartenders invited us and our pizza in for two dollar kamikaze shots. The place had a dope atmosphere and the outdoor patio had a treetop canopy for a roof! We felt like regulars, all the bartenders were great, the playlist was spot on and the prices were incredible! Not used to such big tabs being that cheap! Thanks guys and keep it up! 🤘 gig em!

This is one of the best bars on 6th street. Every time I've been here the bartenders have been on top of things and don't leave you waiting too long, even if there is a crowd. Shots range from $3-$7ish and are good quality. I wouldn't take shots anywhere else on 6th steer. This place has the best value! Also, they play decent music, bathrooms are reasonably cleaned, and upstairs is outdoors.

The staff is friendly. Each of them would take a little bit of the time they had to make a personal connection. It can be inundated with college kids but that's ever bar down here. The drinks are innovative. The flaming Dr. Pepper and Big Bang bomb are classics that everyone has to try. Yes they are kinda sweet but a good show. Overall one of my favorite bars DT.

I've been all over Austin. Moved here from Honolulu a fiew months ago. Best bartenders in town. Fantastic drink prices.

Edit: 1.3 years later. ......went back after covid lifted. New staff. Blah . If u are on 6th st. It has a good view.

Awesome! Don the bartender catered to our every need. The venue is great. Upstairs deck for smoking and a long bar inside for those that don't smoke. Great bar. Cool people. I will be back!

21st Birthday was Amazing! Cheers Bar has a lot of choices to choose from. Tried the Sour patch kid and it was on point.Will be coming back soon. Makell showed us shots that we had never seen.Give this place 10/10👌

Smoked weed and further fell in love here. It was nice. Don't remember much about the quality of service but I'm sure it was why would be expect... Like normal bar service at an Austin bar during sxsw full of people that don't have enough money to actually participate in the full immersive experience of sxsw. It was great.

They serve every shot you can think of and ones you cant. They also have jenga! Good place to kick off the night. Seth is a badass bartender. Ask for his big bang shot

Cheers definitely puts on a show when pouring one of their many selections. Definitely Snapchat/Instagram worthy! And while a bit pricier than a regular shot you do get some entertainment with it.

Its a place me and my friends always start our night on 6th first at. They have 3.00 shots that are awsome. The music is great . They play great music. But after a certain time they do get packed.

Even before I moved to the Austin area would drive here all the way from San Antonio just to have a drink and sit on the top balcony to get a breathtaking view of downtown Austin and even though I live in Austin now I still go there to enjoy that breathtaking view

Great staff and good drinks! When I lost my phone their the general manager messaged me on Facebook to let me know it was there! He really took the time to make sure my phone was returned to me.
