Washaroo Hand Car Wash & Detailing

Came in on a recommendation from a friend who loves this spot and I'll be recommending to everyone else too!

I needed an exterior hand wash and detail. Eric was super friendly, explained the package prices and membership options as well as what each would entail. They did a thorough job and were quick as well.

Overall a really great experience and I went ahead and bought a membership because they did such a phenomenal job!

Oh and make sure you tip—they deserve it :)

Washaroo is the best car wash I have been in Austin. They take good care of my 2 cars and it’s unlimited. A few people jumps in and they all work as a team so the wait is minimal sometimes. Weekends are of course a little bit of wait but always reasonable. Luis the manager is super friendly and on top of everything. This is a good spot

Excellent Car Wash and Detailing!

I absolutely love Washaroo on South 1st Street. Their hand car wash and detailing services are top-notch. They are extremely thorough and do an amazing job getting my car sparkling clean inside and out.

The staff is incredibly friendly and you can tell they really care about their customers. It's such a cute and comfortable place to wait while they work their magic on your vehicle. They always have upbeat music playing outside and inside they have a nice waiting area with couches, free wifi, and even complimentary beer for those of age.

I also appreciate that Washaroo seems to take great care of their employees. The whole vibe is just really positive. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a quality hand car wash and detailing in Austin. They really go above and beyond with their attention to detail. Washaroo has my full endorsement!

The Washaroo crew did an excellent job on my bug splattered car! No bug guts remain! Very pleased. The staff were friendly, diligent, conscientious and fast. Will be going back for sure!

I came from California and I am so lucky to have found Washeroo! Not only do they have the best car wash bundles, especially living in TX, I need to get my car cleaned every two weeks, and they are super friendly. I am a bit of a clean freak, and I can say the team here will not disappoint. They are efficient and effective. I have my husky riding in my car even during shedding season, and every time I take my car here for a wash, it comes back like brand new. I cannot recommend this place enough, they are amazing!

Been a member at Washaroo for over 2 years now. The guys that work there are great and always look after my car. Yes there is usually a wait, but I like that I get to support a local small business and entry line workers, some of whom are trying to get back on their feet.

If I ever have issues with a spot missed, etc. they take care of it quickly and politely. Frankly, I didn’t want to write this review bc I don’t want the wait times to get longer but one of the guys asked me to.

Got my old, gross car fully detailed today and it’s like a brand new car! They did an amazing job and Luis was great! He offered me all of the different packages but was not pushy about it. I also have the unlimited wash and detail here with my other car and it is worth every penny!

Amazing experience every time I go to Washaroo. My car always comes out extremely clean and you can tell they care about what they do. The price is excellent and 10/10 would recommend. Eric is the greatest thing since sliced bread!

Pulled up the South 1st location after reading some reviews and was immediately greeted by Luis who very professionally walked me through the services and packages available here. He’s a born business man and I found myself calling back over and upgrading to a higher level package after the value he explained to me sunk in. This place treats every car like a gem, has a taco truck on site and free beer! Luis is apparently a skilled bartender as a welcome side bonus. Check this place out and I promise you won’t go anywhere else ever again! Thanks Luis and Washaroo!

Best car wash in town. First off, it's hand wash so, no swirl marks! Second, it's a small business. Third, the staff is so kind and consistent.
I have been coming here for 3 years even tho I live 30 minutes away.

BEST CAR WASH IN AUSTIN! Staff is very friendly and efficient in their service and my car always looks AMAZING. I have the yearly subscription and it was the best investment I’ve made for my car. I drive Uber often so it’s relieving to have a reliable team that make my work and personal life easier and cleaner lol.

They’re always so friendly and eager to do an amazing job. Management is top notch and gets in there with the rest of the staff.

Update: 6 months in and they’re extremely consistent! I’m torn between wanting longer hours of operation from this place and insisting on time off for the hard working people here. All I expect is a car wash but I get smiles, speedy service, an incredibly detailed crew, and an overall great experience every time as a huge bonus.

Best Car wash in Austin, I've been with them since 2022 and I have received best service, good customer care and my car is always washed perfect and smell good! If your are in austin take your car there they will take care of you.

My first time at Washaroo and I was really impressed with the customer service. Eric was very helpful and honest about where I should put my money for the car wash since I’m planning to sell my car - really appreciate that! Excellent clean as well.
