we got there when it opened and still had to wait about an hour and a half. but in all fairness we did have a party of 12 and a small child. the food was very good. the shrimp was frozen not fresh. i liked the fried green tomatoes and the salad bar was great.

Great atmosphere and awesome food. We got there as they opened and the place was packed. Considering as many people as it was, food was brought out in great time. Salad bar had a great variety. The 14 ounce ribeye was very well cooked. Also got the loaded baked potato. I will definitely go back. Great place to eat.

They were super busy and had ran out of a few things. But, they handled it like a champ and it was as good as always. I did miss my ribeye steak, but the sirloin was still good.

Great food. A bit expensive but it's worth it. Not to mention that I hadn't been there in years and my husband took me and our children for my birthday celebration. He ordered a beautiful juicy steak and took a nice big bite of it and began to choke on it! He was turning purple and couldn't breathe at all! I was in tears terrified when the owner came running out into the dining room and stood behind my husband performing the Heimlich maneuver on him until the meat shot back up his airway allowing him to breath again. I've never been so greatful to anyone. I would definitely recommend this place as a safe family dining experience. The food is excellent and given in very large portions. The place is very clean and looks like an old country saloon or dining hall. It's a great place for a family dinner or a couples night out.

Went here for the first time the other night with my family. Awesome steaks and cool atmosphere.

I ate there several times 10+ years ago. Thick steak cooked med-rare. Juicy and delicious. Décor is rustic, cabin like. Liked going there on Fridays after working at Plant Gorgas. This place is out of the way, But worth a stop.

Everyone was great. Steak was cooked like I asked. Only complaint it took a long time to get our food.

I absolutely love Bull Pen Steakhouse. I have eaten there a few times and the place is always packed out. I was there around 2 hours last time but I think it was totally worth it. Salad bar is amazing and the steaks are great as well. Everything is made to order. If you are expecting to walk in and eat quickly, then this is not the place for you. Come in and enjoy the whole experience, you will be glad you did.

A must go to, it's like you step back in time for a great meal.

We came from Maplesville, Al. and the restuarant was closed but you can do the drive thru. They had a gangway special, 2 14 pczz. Roberts, backed potato, salad and peach cobbler for 49.99. Great deal. We got our food and had a picnic down the road at the park. The food was great and was nice eating outside.

This place is really cool! We went for the first time last night and it's really cool inside. The service was great and the food was really good. The prices are good too! Looking forward to going back.

Steaks were cooked perfectly baked potato was great and the salad bar was fresh and the whole experience was above what I've come to expect in Walker County. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a good meal with friendly staff.

Food was great...prices very reasonable. Waiting for seating was crazy....waited an hour and a half.everyone left that had eaten...The chick up front didn't allow new diners in till restaurant was empty. The salad bar was empty....suffering from post Covid employee pains I guess....

I'm in the US on a business trip, and I was looking for a real American steakhouse and I found this place on the internet. So I drove for more than 150 miles to test it.
And it was totally worth it. I got the 14oz ribeye and man o man, it was one of the best steaks I have ever eaten, if not the best ever.

The food is AWESOME, but the wait was something else! A party of 65 and 35 before us. They should have 2 people in front 1 taking $, & 1 setting people as tablets are cleaned!

I love my steaks and have had some good ones at pretty famous steak restaurants in Texas, Kansas and several other states. This 1 ranks right up there with em. Along with old York town atmosphere...loved it

One of Alabama's best steakhouses! Conveniently located in Oakman, AL on the way to and from the Alabama Games. Great food, lots for your money, fantastic salad bar, great service. You will definitely get your money's worth! Highly recommended.
