Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

This was the last of the three in my Cracker Barrel Run of 2024. I ordered a great meal and picked up a few bottles of root beer to enjoy later. I met the nicest employees at this location. I was treated like family. Due to extreme weather, I was allowed to stay until morning. Without the kindness of the employees of Cracker Barrel throughout this beautiful country of America, my trip would have been much more stressful. I would go out my way to visit another one again.

OK, I just had the catfish here and it was great 👍!! I know I said that the catfish at another place was unbeatable, but, the fish here has to be a tie!!! The service and server were extra good and nice and all that stuff! 👍 The green beans, steak fries 🍟 and biscuits were very good. It was just a great meal all around! Very good 👍 CRACKER BARRELL RESTAURANT!! NUFF SAID!!!

I really like this place, some dishes are very greasy but that’s what country cuisine is about isn’t?
We enjoy a lot the kids menu and breakfasts are our favorites!

Love this cracker barrel! Sherry is an amazing manager! The staff is great and attentive, food comes out hot, and as ordered, refills come around often. We enjoy eating here! The little gift shop is also great and well kept! We always find little goodies in there

I stopped to have breakfast, and I was not disappointed. The fireplace was lit, and the crackle of the fire made for a great atmosphere. The food and service made it all perfect. I’m glad I popped in.

This is all due to our waitress. "Country" from the time we arrived till we left, she was so very friendly, prompt and just simply pleasant to be around. She treated us like family that she had know for a long time. She took care of our table with a smile, a genuine smile. Not a smile because she was told she had to. This was in Jasper Al. Country AKA Amanda, should be the standard in every restaurant and train all waiters and waitresses. I was there with several members of our church , we all loved Country and her pleasantries she brought to our meal... God Bless you Amanda "Country" keep blessing others with your kindness and service.

Look, I know some people don’t like chain restaurants. But I love places where the food is consistent, and this is one of them. What I love most about this Cracker Barrel is the servers. I have never met anyone there, who did not give good service. If you’re coming through town, this is a great place to stop. And if you’re looking for some consistent food, this is a great place also. I would definitely recommend this to people, traveling, and people who live in Jasper!

Parking lot was clean, entrance and foyer area entering the restaurant was clear of any debris and clean. We were greeted warmly, and although it was peak hour on Sunday, we were seated quickly.
Our Wait person was very helpful, friendly, and patient. Refills were not a problem. Appetizers came quickly. With a party of 8, we had our orders brought out rather quickly.
The dining area was very clean, tables spotless. Each order was prepared as requested.
The young lady waiting on us was attentive and had a true customer service attitude. I noticed how well she multi-tasking between tables, it was awesome.
Actually all the team were ver, very friendly.
Okay, now here's my deal breaker. The restrooms. Guess what? They were spotless, clean, and smelling and had adequate toiletry items. Everything worked, stalls spotless. I loved it.
Thanks for ensuring your restrooms are a pleasant place... I've seen some scary ones at nice eating places. But not here.

If you get a chance, ask for Stacey to be your waiter. She is hands down the best. If I could give her 10 stars, I would. She knows how to take care of a trucker when he's hungry. Service and food are top notch at this location. I love how close it is to the truck stop. I rather eat here than any of the fast food options.

Great experience. I've been to several of these Country Stores, all over the Ozarks, and this is my favorite one. The place was busy, but yet the workers did not hurry you in and out. The food was absolutely wonderful. Even if it wasn't, our server, Nicole would brighten up anyone's day. She was amazing.

Update: August 2022 - back to full capacity. Still good food and good service.

This Cracker Barrel is under a capacity restriction, I would guess that they are seating about 50% of the tables. They were severely understaffed but the staff was really hustling and doing a great job.
If you've been to a Cracker Barrel recently, you'll know they've added beer, wine and mimosas to their menu. The two Cracker Barrel's I have been to since they started offering alcohol are struggling with it and this location was no different. I'm sure they'll eventually get it sorted.
If you're an RV'er, be warned they have limited space and not a level parking lot. The lot is laid out well for navigation and I was able to circle the building with a 35' class A and 4 door Jeep Wrangler in tow.

The food was the best I've had at a Cracker Barrel in quite some time. I would definitely recommend this location.

Thanksgiving dinner with the family. Thanks to the great folks here, we didn't have the stress of planning, cooking and cleaning. We were able to simply enjoy a good meal and enjoy being able to be together ❤. Thank you Jasper Cracker Barrel for a job well done. Kudos to ALL the staff!!!

This the best cracker barrel we have been to on this trip. I believe it is 4th or 5th cracker barrel we've eaten in. It is a favorite of ours as we only have 3 in the state of Iowa & they are all located on the E & W borders of the state. We desperately need one at I80 & I380 intersection close to Iowa City and Hawkeye nation!

The waitress was friendly and efficient. The food was delicious well prepared. The manager was awesome. I spoke to her as I was checking out. Impressed by the way the restaurant was run.

It's always delicious and friendly sevice.service. I absolutely love the shopping area. I always find cute reasonably priced items.

Also sale great quilts , I have bought several over the years. They really last and are a great price.

After a long travel day in our motorhome we called to ask if overnight parking was allowed. I spoke with the manager who was very friendly and let us know where to park. After arriving we went in for a late evening dinner and the food was delicious. I had their classic meatloaf with 3 sides and my husband had the maple chicken breasts which were all delicious. Their hash brown casserole is great. Food was hot and plentiful. Our overnight in the parking lot was quiet and uneventful. We felt safe in this location. Thanks!

Amazing environment and best managers ever! Love working here and wouldn’t trade it for nothing!! The food is great and the managers definitely make sure they take care of their employees and all customers are treated with the upmost respect! Best company I’ve ever worked for wouldn’t trade this place for nothing❤

When traveling in south, we visit LOTS of Cracker Barrel restaurants but this one is the BEST one! The team were attentive, kind, caring and working efficiently. Katie, our waitress is likely one of the best service provider. In this day and age it is great to find on-site service that is top-notch!
