Parking is a little tight, but if you take your time, it is negotiable. This is a very clean and well-kept facility, though it is well aged and desperately needs upgrade and remodeling. This facility is managed very well. The staff is friendly, professional, and always willing to always help veterans with their needs.

It was a long wait but...once I got in they were courteous and professional. I don’t think we can blame the Dothan CBOC for how long it takes to get to their patients; it's outside their control how many patients they have to see and how many staff members are there to serve the crowd.

I get the feeling they are doing all they can to serve their patients.

At least, this has been my experience.

Update - Summer 2018: My most recent visit was excellent, I saw the doctor within a few minutes of my appointment time, he took good care of my needs and I feel this experience was as good as any place I have ever visited.

I have been attending this facility for over 2 years and have received the best quality treatment. I have 2 doctors here and each one considers each one of my life events, family, and anything that may have changed with me. This is by far the best facility than the one in Montgomery that will look after you, call if something has changed, check up on you if you are any new medication, and depending on your life situation, check up on you as needed. My appts are fitted to my life schedule, they do not force any appointments on you, and if you need an appointment, I have not been denied any. You can even walk in to see your doctor without an appt. You just have to wait till there is a gap between other patients. This facility is really good about making sure you get your appts, even if you have bad memory..by sending the blue card in the mail and calling you the day before. I recommend this place to other veterans who are struggling with their current doctors if they do not have them here already.

I truly don't know if I would still be here, if it wasn't for the staff at the Diamond Clinic in Dothan! Mister David has been a godsend to me along with Miss Tonya! And I've just had the pleasure dealing with Miss hope up front! Thank you for all y'all do

The majority of the staff are doing the best they can with the limited resources available to them. Some are downright rude, specifically the security personnel. Their main concern is making sure you've got a mask on, I'm sure their parents are proud of the way they speak to elderly patients that were way more badass than they could ever hope to be.

I can't even get ahold of anyone to make an appointment. It rings, rings, and rings. On my day off I've called and put my phone on speaker phone and had it sitting next to me for 2 continuous hours and have yet to get ahold of anyone.

I've tried doing the secure messaging to make an appointment and apparently nobody reads the messages because I have yet to receive a message/call back.

My next course of action is contacting Congressman Barry Moore's office to have them investigate why they aren't providing medical care to the veterans that have served this nation.

Wish I could tell you about the doctor's here but I cannot even get to see one. Had an appointment made for a pretty serious issue, more than a month out, and they cancelled it. No call, no message. Just cancelled and now they will not even answer the phone. This place seems to be right in line with general veteran treatment. Use us up and throw us away

Just when I thought no clinic could be worse than DC, I end up here. Primary care is a joke. The providers change more than I change underwear. They cancel rx without even telling you, order bloodwork then cancel the follow on appt to discuss it, make appointments months out only to cancel them, never answer the phone, everything routes through Montgomery. At this point I may as well drive to Montgomery for care and claim mileage.

I did a walk in on today concerning pain, stiffness, and swelling between the upper part of my neck and the fact it was going to the bottom of my head. They worked me in with the nurse. She calls me back and as I’m explaining what’s going on and asked if I could get a shot to ease the muscle/pain she proceeded to tell me they don’t do that there she didn’t even bother to examine how one side was swollen and one was not she suggested I go to urgent care if I thought is was the bad she was so dry an unconcerned during the whole visit as if I was wasting her time…I did go to urgent care and they examined and treated me with the same shots I was asking for at the va clinic and sent me home with meds…. I requested a transfer out of this clinic I have not had the same doctor or nurse since going here and some of them lack customer service something has to change

I've been there before and had a good appointment with my nurse practitioner. This last time she wouldn't even look at my feet and legs. My left leg was abnormally red. I am a diabetic. She said she didn't know I was a diabetic. When I got home the redness in my lower left leg had gotten worse. The redness climbed higher up my leg and became swollen. I waited till Friday (2 days after my appointment) to call the Dothan clinic about my problem. I voiced my concern about my swollen and red left leg and told her I was worried about a blood clot. The lady at the clinic told me she would have the nurse call me back. I waited till Tuesday (4 days after my call). No one called! So Wednesday I went up To the Montgomery VA ER. They said I had Erysipelas (an infection of the skin). No blood clot was found. I think the VA needs to clean house of the contract nurses, doctors and workers at the Dothan CBOC Clinic and replace them VA employees.

The locations for the mental health clinic changed and they didn't bother to take 5 seconds and update Google. Now everything is shoved into this small clinic where they are so doing covid screenings. Are these people just insane? Go back to telehealth if it's going to be this much of a hassle. Everyone here has lazy laid-back vibe and moves like molasses in winter time. Information on what's going on is scarce and unclear all around. This country truly doesn't care for their vets

Can hardly ever get in touch with them and when I do they seem annoyed and uncaring. Can barely get a straight answer from them when I ask about how to get set up for something and get told to go to the Fort Rucker location almost every time I go in. This VA clinic is one of the worst I’ve seen and I really hope things turn around for the sake of the veteran community around Dothan.

Why is this VA facility closed at 4:30 pm when it's supposed to be open until 5pm? I know it's not for paperwork because they're already gone. This must be government waste. You say thank you for your service. But,at 4:30, it feels like f... You!
