Emanuel Congregation

Peaceful, attractively decorated. Services in Hebrew and English, prayer book includes transliteration. Very warm, friendly congregation. If you like to sing as I do this is your house of prayer. Loved the services. We attended a bat mitzvah. Wonderfully friendly.

I grew up going to Emanuel. The community and the prayer services are warm and welcoming. The Cantor and the Songleader are truly wonderful people, I would highly recommend this place to anyone interested.

Emanuel Congregation is one of the only places where you can pray and have a lake view from the chapel. I know people that go here and I'm friends with people on the board. They really care about the surrounding community and put on many events to involve their neighbors. The Fair Trade market comes to mind. And I've been to some interesting talks on things like the mayoral race and Muhammad Ali. All-in-all, a welcoming environment with nice people and engaging programming.

Very friendly congregation. Musical service on Friday night & Saturday morning. Fabulous holiday bazaar in November, with artisans selling their creations.

Very friendly heimish congregation and staff who go out of their way to be helpful. Members are of all ages and programs and activities are offered for all groups. Weekly services plus religious school and interest groups with wide appeal... Very strong Jewish committment without requiring any p;articular observance..Rabbi and teachers are very dynamic and enthusiastic . On CTA lines..When you want a break you can take a walk a.long the lake that is directly behind the building.. Try us..! Arlene, long time member.

Wonderful, kind, loving and good people. Extremely welcoming to all: non-Jewish people as well as Jewish people of every stripe and affiliation. Cannot recommend highly enough!

What a gem, with a parking lot overlooking the lake. Beautiful retro stained glass inside and lots of gorgeous wood.

Rabbi Marantz is incredibly well spoken torah scholar with a degree in comedy as well. Political presentation on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict a positive perspective on land ownership and dual, two-state solution for Judah and National Israel, thank you for your informative, enlightenment on arab-israeli conflict since 1948 war.
