Floyd's 99 Barbershop

Our stylist, Yatrice, was so patient and kind with my toddler son! She took time to make sure he was comfortable with the razor, even letting him touch it to see that it was totally safe. She didn’t mind at all that he wanted to hold my hand, even though it certainly made her job a bit harder to maneuver around. He was very nervous for the appointment, but is already talking about going again!

Sunday cut from Shari, 1000% professional and excellent all around. You can tell they pay attention to all the details. Feeling fresh and grateful. Much appreciated!

Jaki cut my hair and gave me some ideas on my next cut. I haven’t had anyone else touch my hair since 2009. I really enjoyed the wash and the leave in conditioner had my hair feeling extra soft. I didn’t know that it came with a back massage which was very nice! I’m coming back!!! I recommend this location and Jaki!

Dre was incredible! Entire shop was clean and nice looking. Music was a bit loud for my liking but that's just me.

I’ve been going to Floyds99 since 2015. I usually go to the Floyd’s in Lincoln Park but my usual stylist moved to the Floyd’s in the southloop. Lucky me because that’s closer to home. Jesse has been taking care of me for three years now. I trusted them with my wedding day haircut, my birthday cuts, and all those in between.

The only bummer about the southloop location is the parking. Paid street parking or a lot that costa $12 for 3 hours. If they validated it was be perfect.

Floyd’s is clean, the staff is friendly, and I am always satisfied with my haircuts there. Usually very easy to get a same day appointment during the week, can sometimes be hard to get an appointment on the weekend but that’s to be expected.

I've been getting my hair cut by Moon for over a year now and it's always a great experience. She's got an eye for detail and really listens to what you want. The cuts are reliably excellent!!

After a few visits she got my cut down and it makes every follow up visit very easy. She's also very friendly and her easy-going personality makes each visit enjoyable.

Highly recommend!

The best part of this location is the people. It means a lot to feel welcomed and respected. As someone with autism, it’s extremely difficult to participate in services such as these when you don’t get much compassion or understanding. That was definitely not a problem here from the front end of the store to the styling chair. They continue to make a loyal and diligent customer out of me. Jackie (my stylist) is the best!

Atmosphere is great and every stylist I’ve had has been great. I only go here and only trust them with my hair! They know what I like and unlike other places, they do it right and it looks great.

Crystal was very good. Best haircut I have had in long time. Floyds has a good one in Crystal. Good vibe at the shop.

I have been seeing Jesse for a year now (I think), and I'm so relieved to have found my person that knows their stuff, takes great care of me, and just gives me the best all-around hair cutting experience. Jesse genuinely cares about their clients and has such a warm and gentle demeanor. Cannot recommend them highly enough. Thanks for all you do, Jesse!

Floyd’s has been great. Since we moved into south loop, my partner and I have been coming here. Dre has taken great care of us every time and definitely gave our cuts attention to detail.

Went and got my hair trimmed for the first time in months, and friends let me tell you if you need a haircut, Dasia at Floyd's South Loop is my new favorite person. Not only did they listen to my hair needs but we had the most amazing conversations and their energy is absolutely everything. Also, they have a picture of Elliot Page taped inside their tool box so? Immediate win 💖

Moon has been cutting my hair for over a year now and she is the absolute best. I am always happy with my cut and Moon makes sure I am satisfied before I leave her chair. Apart from the hair cut, Moon is the nicest person at Floyd's, is always so welcoming, and goes above and beyond.

Dre is fantastic. First time here and I wasn’t sure how it was going to go. But Dre was really meticulous and the cut looked amazing.

staff is very friendly and really communicative with exactly what they were doing to make my vision come to life! super open to feedback back, making it easy to tell them if you don't like something or whatnot. I'm a generally shy person, but conversations just flowed while I was there! I got my hair bleached and cut and it looks absolutely fantastic, it's exactly what I wanted and more!!

So happy to have found Daisa P for myself and my 10-year old son! We love their haircuts each time, and it's always such a pleasure to chat with them. Now we don't need to drive across town to get the haircuts we want!

You must see Jaki; she is incredible, friendly, and knowledgeable. She truly listens to what you want and then delivers. She clearly cares about her clients and communicates with them throughout the process. The appointment was never rushed, and I was very pleased with my haircut. Jaki and the staff had a great vibe, were friendly and welcoming, and I will definitely return.

I took my son to get a haircut and Scarlett did a great job. I showed her a picture of what he wanted and she was able to replicate it. She took her time to show him how to style it as well. She was friendly, patient and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

It was the first time I had my hair cut in this place, the attention was very good and the waiting time was minimal, everyone was very friendly and the haircut was better than I expected, I will definitely come back for another haircut when go back to Chicago
