Rosehill Cemetery

An absolutely beautiful location. With such a rich past, I absolutely love to walk through this cemetery every time I stop by. I love the wide range of headstones and markers, and how well maintained it all is. There are also benches sprinkled through the area, some which are part of a grave's design and others near the wildlife area.

This is a really cool cemetery. It’s beautifully set up. I enjoyed seeing the deer hanging out too. I learned who Frances M Pearce was. Sad story.

We are so lucky to have this cemetery in the neighborhood. I come here frequently to stroll and enjoy some fresh air, walking among the gravestones and learning the names, thinking about the stories behind them, and admiring some of the very ornate mausoleum and monuments. I have taken a tour with Adam from Mysterious Chicago and enjoyed his wealth of knowledge about so many of the people buried at Rosehill -- it really puts into perspective that, behind (or under, I suppose) each stone there was a person with a full life, however long or short it may have been. Before we took the tour a representative from the cemetery came out and gave us some information, as well, and he was very friendly and welcoming. At a time when these large, old cemeteries aren't always maintained well, you can tell that they still try to keep Rosehill up. Now that the weather is getting warmer, I look forward to many more strolls through Rosehill in the months ahead. It's so large that you can almost never see all of it, and on the best days you run into the herd of deer. I do wish they would stay open a little later for a stroll on late summer nights, but I understand the staff wants to get home, too. I highly suggest taking the time to visit and learn about some of the historic and interesting figures buried here.

Beyond grateful for the caring and wonderful staff at RoseHill Cemetery. Alla worked with my family and I and found the most perfect burial plot for my mother. We received a very personable experience and will continue using their services for the future.

One of Chicago's true secret gems. I could spend hours wandering through Rosehill to reflect on our city's rich history, with its unique architecture and peaceful grounds. Be sure to chat with the helpful staff and grounds-crew. Plus, Rosehill is right across from the Fireside Lounge...

So glad we stopped, back in October 2013, on our way back to Minnesota. Just happened to be on that road and popped in for a visit. Perfect day, lovely setting, well kept memorials and beautiful statuary.

Lots of old graves and huge marble mausoleum. The chapel in the center is so pretty and very calming. Plenty of trees, a lake, and even some deer.

Service is very good. Everything went on time with no delays. Administrative office services for getting paper work completed online. No need to go to site to get the thing done.

This is a beautiful cemetery. There are plenty of them in Chicago. If you want to take a nice quiet walk and observe some wildlife without having to go to the zoo, you're bound to have a pleasant experience.

I loved it! I came across a small herd of deers. It's a beautiful historic cemetery.

The Staff at Rosehill are very helpful and attentive to your needs. I'm very satisfied with how I was treated by my Counselor, Don and how my husband's Services went. Rosehill Cemetery is unique. There is a great Mausoleum, different types of headstones, crypts, above ground burials and sections for the cremated. I would definitely recommend it.

Dierdre was so lovely and went above and beyond to help me find where my grandparents are resting. They are unfortunately unmarked, so she personally came out in a golf cart to make sure i found them. She went above and beyond for me and I'm forever grateful. The other staff I spoke with in the office displayed the utmost kindness and understanding as well. I can't recommend these wonderful folks enough. Compassion and empathy are always forthcoming at Dignity Memorial .

Would highly recommend Rosehill for one's last place for burial, and pre-planning for the uncertain future. With it's history, and the grounds kept up will ensure friends and family visiting to pay respects will always feel welcome.

Vast and peaceful cemetery. Took my kids for a stroll and saw many deer, as well as some baby ducks in one of the water features. Overall maintained pretty well considering its size.

I never make a trip to Chicago without visiting Rosehill Cemetery & Mausoleum.
Both the the grounds & the mausoleum are always clean & well kept.
I ran into Mr Ken, the grounds superintendent, today & he took time from his busy day to talk with me & share some of the history of the cemetery.
I was impressed by his high levels of passion, dedication and overall respect that was reflected from him as we talked.
He has a big job, and with the help of a great team of employees, he does his job well.
Any employee that I’ve ever met, while visiting Rosehill, have always been very compassionate, hospitable & prompt.

I have passed by Rosehill since moving here in 1983. I had never been on the grounds until my mom was laid to rest in May of 2020. I'm pleased with how well the grounds are kept. The snow removal team does an excellent job. I prefer not to see people biking and jogging as if it was a park. The cemetery grounds should be visited by people connected to it. To the management and staff thank you for proving a beautiful place for my mom to rest.

The staff was wonderful and helpful in finding my wife and her cousins family members.
