Thomaston Cafe

Absolutely amazing food and service! Best fish and chips we've had with the biggest, perfectly cooked piece of fish ever! So good it was being eaten before we got a picture!

Only downside is they were hopping busy so it was a bit loud but still an excellent experience!

Thomaston is such a cute little quaint town and the Thomaston Cafe is a wonderful addition. We went for lunch and the food was great and atmosphere even better! We really felt like a local and was treated like family. If you want the local feel the Cafe is a great spot.

Nice atmosphere. The staff was lovely, helpful, accommodating, attentive, and polite. The food selection is just right. The portions were very generous. After a week's vacation in Maine we finally were pleasantly stuffed after a reeeally delicious dinner! Kudos to the chef!👏
My husband also enjoyed the local Allagash beer. If we weren't so full we would have definitely ordered dessert too. Best meal we fully savored.Thank you so much!😋

Love this place! Something for everyone! And they have gluten-free buns for their sandwiches and burgers. Great small bar to sit at and a cozy place to eat. Very good food. Fun bartender and great service but they get full and get a little slow with serving - no provider you’re not in a hurry!

Great casual dining with friends or family. Straightforward menu with meals we don’t get tired of. Good service. Not rushed nor neglected.

Wonderful spot for lunch!! Just enjoyed a delicious meal with friends at the Thomaston Cafe and it was on point. Great service, cozy atmosphere and amazingly good food! Definitely stop in if you’re in the area!

Came here and accidentally stayed 40 mins past closing and they were awesome about being patient.

Cozy and quaint in downtown Thomaston. Burgers and Brew on Thursdays. Crab cakes were legit crab and delish. Great salads.

Great food and service. Hasn't been there since the new ownership but was pleased they kept all the warmth and good food that have always made it such a popular place.

Very good food and service. We've had a while variety from here and its always solid. Interior is cozy but not cramped. Pretty cool little place.

Fantastic spot that combines a great atmosphere, a top-notch menu, and well executed food. Had crab-topped haddock with scallops and a Philly cheese steak (which they (all of Maine?) call a "steak bomb"). Fries were hand-cut with skin on and perfectly cooked. Fish was tender and flaky. It was an A+. Highly recommended.

Perhaps for a big city with hundreds of cafes it would be forced by competition to be a four star cafe or so. But this is a gem 💎 in the historical town or Thomaston. No chain restaurant food here. The Ceasar salad came with anchovies as ordered. The meat potatoes vegetables fish and even pickles were a local and fresh. A full bar and several beers on tap with many more in bottles. This is the real old town cafe.

Very nice spot in Thomaston Maine, a stones throw from Rockland, housed in a classic old building on Route 1.
I've eaten here many times over the years and never been disappointed.
Soups, salads and burgers are all good, but try the haddock tacos for a true north of the border treat.
Wash it down with any of a nice selection of craft beers along with the friendly service and I'll eat here every time I pass through.

Charming little place with excellent food. Scallops were perfectly done and the crab cakes were superb. Everybody enjoyed their meals. And the price was right. I sure hope you folks make it because it was a wonderful find.

Love our lunch we had a fantastic cheeseburger, soup and toasted cheese. Was perfect on a cold day. Such friendly service.
