Mackinac Grille & Patio Bar

Our first time at this restaurant. Great food and portions. I got the beef brisket, and my husband got the meat loaf. We had a beautiful view of Lake Huron. This is one of the restaurants we visited on our honeymoon. We love going up north a couple of times a year. We'll more than likely come back.

This is now my wife’s favorite restaurant in Michigan. We had a really kind waitress who gave us great food recommendations. The whitefish cakes were one of the best appetizers we’ve ever had. Portion sizes were generous. Eating here will be a new tradition for us.

A wonderful atmosphere can be found here, especially while dining outside on the patio during a beautiful day full of sunshine. The view of the bay and lighthouse both add to the ambiance of this spot as well. I had the shrimp, tossed in Boom Boom sauce, and it was my favorite meal of our 5-day motorcycle trip. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Spending the weekend in the Soo and looking for a good place to eat and someone had recommended coming here. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, was seated right away. Very roomy out in the patio. I had the brisket and my friend had the whitefish combo, both were very good. Prices were a little high but you get a lot of food. It'd be worth a try.

Excellent whitefish dish cooked in a foil bake. Not sure why it's called "Poor Man's Whitefish" because it was AMAZING! The restaurant is beautiful; inside and out. Outside dining is wonderful on the screened in porch overlooking the water. Our waiter was awesome, friendly and attentive! The gift shop was huge and included the caboose! Great place! Will definitely be back! Afterwards we enjoyed the ice cream right in front and the stunning view from the double decker bus!

Great tasting food by the water! Amazing service and very friendly. After you food, you can walk out to a lighthouse to burn it off. They also have a small gift shop.

Pricey, but was delicious on food and drinks. Beautiful view, great service. We enjoyed our meal 😋

The restaurant was on the waterfront. Sat in the screened porch overlooking the beautiful Mackinaw Straights. The food was amazing.

Service was great. Bartender was very nice and knew how to make a good Manhattan. Our meals were VERY good! Enjoyed it all very much. Especially the nice boardwalk walk out to the lighthouse after dinner. Pretty night and sunset all around good evening! Highly recommend!

Favorite Michigan State U.P. restaurant! One of our fav's on repeat. We come for Poorman's Whitefish, house specialty. Awesome servers, cool bartenders, lax lake front atmosphere. A St. Ignace gem! 😋

Came here for my birthday with my husband because it smelled so good when we walked by and they did not disappoint! Everything was delicious and the service was wonderful! We ate on the patio and it was just beautiful! They even surprised me with a delicious piece of birthday cake for me! Great experience, can't wait to try it again!

Great place to have a meal and drink with friends. We sat at the bar in the winter and devoured the white fish. We returned on our boat this summer to enjoy a yummy meal on the open deck. There's a little splash pad and a nice grassy area for the kids. Great place to dine and unwind with little ones.

The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Our waitress was awesome as well (shout out to Trish!).

Good food and good atmosphere. The server was friendly and courteous. The "Poor Man's Whitefish" is probably the best dish on the menu.

Good food, great drinks, and the smoked whitefish spread was amazing. Fisherman's Platter was filling and the clam strips were huge. The Mile High Meatloaf was surprisingly flavorful and was NOT covered in ketchup. The only issue we had was the pastie. It is large and the filling and gravy were perfect however the crust was chewy. My guess is that it wasn't as fresh as it could have been.

Got the Lake Perch meal and it was amazing! Wasn't expecting that much perch for the price either. Wife got a Mac & Cheese burger, which she said was great.

Prices in general were very good compared to Mackinaw City.

Service was great too.
