Trailhead Cafe

Feels like a team in here. Everyone has something to do and they go about it quietly and efficiently. Super polite and ready with a kind word. It’s the perfect little sandwich shop. Plenty of seating, booths and tabletop. I’m fairly certain there’s magic afoot here...
I ordered my food and it magically materialized no less than 4 minutes later! I tried the Mccallister. Very reasonably priced. Bonus, they have a bathroom for littles!! I don’t believe I’ve ever seen that before. Definitely a nice touch. More importantly, I sat and listened to talk swirling around me. That says a lot that people choose to meet up here. I will be back!

Best chili I've ever had from any cafe, and the egg salad sandwich was excellent!! A little pricy but definitely a high quality product...I'll certainly be back 😊

Fast service and "better than homemade" food! We visited three years ago after attending a conference. I'm thinking, why did I wait so long!? Turkey club is generous with fresh, Cristy bread. Turkey presto is also pretty amazing.

This is our first time in Michigan so we found this place and decided to try it out, it was great! They have a great variety and the people that worked there were very nice and a joy to chat with! If we lived in the area this would be a regular spot for us!

Awesome, awesome spot. My husband had an appointment in the area and we ended up visiting for a quick lunch. It made an otherwise boring day absolutely great. The food was fantastic. He ordered a black and blue burger and I got a pecan and chicken salad. They came out quickly and were delectable. The staff was very friendly and outgoing. The service was excellent.

I was in for a surprise when I saw the bathrooms had a kiddie toilet for my toddler and a seat to hold my baby. My little girl was thrilled to have her own potty and sink. After we left, we actually came back just to get drinks and a sweet treat (Chai tea and a berry stacker). It was wonderful. I will definitely stop in next time I'm in the area. 5/5

I only ate here once but I loved it. The restaurant looks like an add-on to a bicycle shop which it is. but the place is fantastic. The menu is diverse and I had a hard time trying to decide which delicious lunch item I should get. I decided on the tavern burger which was awesome.
I'm glad I stopped in and I definitely 100% will be back.

A great variety and unusual. We had the special breakfast before the pottery show, avacado bread sandwich. The most unusual and delicious meal. The cook dreams up the best stuff. Staff is friendly and welcoming also.

And now they are closed. I'm sad about that

The food is great and the service was even better. My dad and I had a great time. To add to an already good experience, the staff was willing to make me a smoothie even though it was past closing time. They were completely accommodating and friendly. I felt bad but they reassured me it was no problem. Can't wait to go again!

Went for breakfast. It's a limited breakfast menu about five or six sandwiches. We each ordered three different sandwiches and they were incredible. They were very large and come with a side of potatoes or fruit. I had a Southwest or something like that sandwich with guacamole and eggs and bacon and it was delicious. I'm a big eater and I felt like I got my money's worth. I would go here again.

Awesome cafe and lunch spot. The coffee is really great and the food is delicious. They have a pretty huge lunch menu with sandwiches, salads, and wraps and soups as well. Also if you go on Saturday morning they offer breakfast sandwiches as well. Really cool cycling themed atmosphere as it is connected to a bike shop.

If you enjoy gourmet sandwiches, this should be a great choice for you. While the selection can be sometimes overwhelming for first-timers, there's yet to be a choice that hasn't exceeded expectations.
The cafe has a fun, lively and open atmosphere.

Excellent catered lunch for our company. 30 minutes before they were to deliver our food, we had a last minute "large" addition to our order. When I called to request additional sandwiches, Brian @ Trailhead said "How can we help you; tell us what you want added and we'll make it happen." I was pleasantly surprised, customer service like this is rare these days. The food was wonderful! Our guests were thrilled with the freshness and I couldn't be more happy with the service. Thanks Trailhead, you have us as a repeat customer! :-)

I love this place. The food is always great. Today I had the roast beef on rye, amazing. A bonus is that I can walk next door and look at bicycles!
I do wish they had more tables though. It's a popular place and finding a place to sit can be difficult.

First time here, impressed with the food! I liked their take on a Philly Steak Sandwich - good, thin meat, fresh slightly spicy peppers, great fresh bread! They were quick too. Would recommend.

My Rubin had the most tender corn beef I have ever eaten. My wife had a chicken salad that she said was wonderful! Prices were fair and the service was quick.

The london broil sandwich was awesome, and I told them I was in a bit of a hurry, so I had less than a 5 minute wait. Thank you for being so accommodating! I look forward to trying the soups next time!

Cool spot. Never would have known about this place but my wife came here with a friend. We brought our kids here on our way out of GR and we all really like what we got. Like the cool bicycle vibe with the doors open to the store next door.

Go here often, never disappointed. Great friendly atmosphere. Busy but they staff keeps up and waits for lunch to be delivered to the table is minimal. Highly recommended!

Have had a few sandwiches and all were very good. Especially the egg salad on the spent grain bread. They offer it grilled and I would highly recommended that preparation.

High quality food, fast service at a pretty reasonable price ($8-10). I go here for lunch at least once a week, and have never had more than a 5 minute wait on food, even during the lunch rush.
