I’ve been going to Kalee (Kaleemmhair_) for years, even when I lived out of state - cannot recommend enough! She works magic on cut & color, knows how to keep hair healthy, & listens to what you’re looking for. She is the best, you can trust her to make your hair dreams come true!

I can’t recommend this salon enough. I’ve been going here for a couple years now, seeing the incredibly talented Kristyn for all my hair needs, after searching for a hair salon to call home for so long—I can confidently say I will always go here to get my hair done. Whether it’s a cut or color, it is always done with precision and genuine care, I have never left the salon feeling meh about my hair! Kristyn has made getting my hair done be a fun relaxing experience that I look forward to instead of it feeling like a task I have to do. You will not regret choosing this place, you’ll only wish you did it sooner!!

Natalie rocks. She always serves up exactly what I’m looking for when I go in for a cut. The space is mellow and really welcoming, and I love what E+L stand for in terms of inclusiveness and self care, taking time for yourself, etc. All the stars.

I really enjoyed my first visit here with Shannon! She was very knowledgable, kind and thorough. I absolutely love my cut and color! Also, the environment has a zen like feel. Very calm and relaxing.Staff were all welcoming. I highly recommend!

I had first experienced E+L when they provided styling for a local clothing store’s fashion shows. I always loved interacting with the stylists and noticed their vibrant energy right away. I was looking for a new stylist with more availability around the same time and chose Carissa! We meshed right away and I loved how she talked me through options for everything... prices, my hair texture and feel, products, etc. Every time I go see her I feel like a queen as well as leave happy with the cut and color. The way she colors and foils my hair makes it look so full and vibrant as I have thin, fine hair. Other stylists/staff at E + L are always friendly and the salon is clean and open!

Great, serene space. Fabulous head massage. I had highlights on my first visit— Erin did them perfectly which has not happened for me in GR in 20 years. My haircuts(2) have been awesome and look great until the next visit. Erin really is an expert with short hair! She has the expertise required for shaping and styling. As an aside, she has curly hair so I am sure she knows how to cut it to make it look fab as well- obviously I don’t have curly hair.

This is a lovely salon. The location is fairly convenient and the stylists are welcoming. After moving to Grand Rapids, it took me years to finally find a stylist I loved - Carissa! I refer everyone to her. She's easy to talk to and is supportive of whatever I'm doing with my hair. My appointments with her range from color, bangs, a trim, or a more significant cut. She also cuts my fiancee's hair and I wish he styled his hair daily - he looks SO good!

I highly recommend!! Sam has been my stylist for years. Her cuts and styles are precision artwork! Historically I’ve struggled with my hair with its texture and thickness. Meeting Sam changed everything. She created a great style I could wear curly or straight. I’ve never left a salon feeling that incredible. Since then, I always leave with a huge smile not to mention fantastically chic hair!

Clarice was so thorough + attentive in my massage. Relaxing, therapeutic ~ 10/10!

This salon is soo amazing! Everyone is so friendly and super helpful! I have been seeing Mani as my hair stylist for a couple years now and I’m obsessed with her talent and her contagious personality! I am never disappointed with my hair. She continues to perfect my hair each and every time I see her. Mani is a true artist and it definitely shows in her work with her clients!! I would highly recommend E+L salon and their talented staff!

Carissa is my go to girl She is attentive to detail and creates a haircut to suit your hair and lifestyle. She works with your collicks and natural part. Additionally she does a great job with clipper cuts. My husband has been seeing her for a little over 3 years and only sees another stylist at E+L salon if she is booked. Check out E+L, their salon philosophy and mission is incredible as well. Okay, I could go on and on but I'll stop here.

After months of reading reviews and researching every stylists' Instagram in GR, my 20 year old daughter determined that Carissa would be "The One". She was even better than we'd hoped. She is one of the premier colorists in W. Michigan and our hair was amazing. We simply decided to follow Carissa for the rest of our entire lives. When she moved up to E + L, we were so pleased. The atmosphere at E + L is light, friendly, and professional. It is a perfect fit for Carissa's great energy, positivity and attention to detail. LOVE!

I have been going to E+L Salon for the past year. The salon itself it beautiful, clean, and the staff is always so friendly. All of that aside, I have been extremely impressed with my stylist - Carissa! She is a talented hair artist, and above all else - incredibly personal and fun. She always goes above and beyond, guaranteeing that I leave the salon feeling beautiful. I can’t say enough good things about Carissa or E+L Salon.

Carissa is a true artist, and I'm so happy E+L is her new studio! I cannot NOT love a hair salon that is environmentally woke, has unbelievably talented employees, and makes you feel completely relaxed.
