The Lodge at Maddox

Lucky to be one of the last groups to have a meal at The Lodge at Maddox as they are closing after today. Such good people! They deserve time to themselves after many years of hosting others. Being there brings back memories of growing up in my grandparents restaurant. Love the atmosphere. Love the staff. Love the hot fresh rolls, corn pones, but especially the raspberry butter.

Good food, fabulous service. We had almost 40 singles show up for a group dinner. Paid by individual checks. Staff were efficient, friendly and overall provided an excellent experience. Had the Buffalo New York Steak. Excellent meal. Maddox has earned the reputation as a local favorite and they did not disappoint.

Because of the demand, they built a large lodge to handle large groups. The only challenge I've noticed is the seating is totally open, so it's a bit noisy. The main restaurant is the same way for the most part.
Easy to find. Plenty of parking. Well staffed, so service is prompt even with large groups.

Had a great time at the lodge with our company party. The staff was excellent. Our waitress remembered my drink type and was right on top of refills the entire night. I even asked for BBQ sauce and they sent it out to me without delay. Definitely will do this again.

Good place lots of seating and room the parking lot is always packed on the weekends so be careful and watch for pedestrians. I loved the steak they gave me. It wasn’t the best steak I’ve ever had but it was pretty good. I also enjoyed the soft buttery rolls they served with the meal

Our family went last Tuesday and had a great time at Maddox! Reasonable prices, family friendly and a down right enjoyable time. The steak is awesome and my wife loves the turkey stake with country gravy. Our kids also love the food and atmosphere. We will be back many more times in 2017

Always good food. Chicken fried steak with strawberry pie! We had a large family gathering and they were able to accommodate us easily with quick service. Much faster than other places I have been to. It's worth the drive!

The Lodge at Maddox is a great hidden secret. The menu is a little smaller than the one at Maddox however upon request you can order anything that is on the Maddox menu. This would be a great place to have a reception or a party for a group size bigger than 20. It is also a nice place to try and eat if they aren't having an event. The atmosphere is much more personable and quite. Service like Maddox is awesome.

The best service, the greatest tasting food, everything was superb compliments to the staff, from the time you walk in the door till the time you walk out. In our case I had to call to get directions since we are from Oregon and we're just told you were on main street, we'll worth the time to find. We will definitely come back on our way through. How would you like to open another great Maddox in Oregon have to be near Portland area.

The lamb was cooked perfectly. The rolls and butter are delicious. The service was excellent. My daughter has a dairy allergy and the waiter took the time and care to double check that there was no butter on my daughter dish. He found out there was and immediately fixed the problem without us having to remind him. I find that to be uncommon.

We come here from southern Utah for my grandfather's birthday every year. The staff was very friendly and the NY strip was cooked perfectly as I ordered it medium rare. The rolls and cornbread go quickly with the raspberry butter to add. Make sure to order extra right from the beginning.

Far more open inside the lodge than over at the other building. You have to get the Prime Rib! It was saltire than other prime rib I have had, but it was perfect, oh and their carrots! Oh my gosh those carrots were fantastic. I also got the seafood salad and really enjoyed it (and I am not normally a seafood guy). My son referred to the waiters as "fancy servants", either way they did a fantastic job. I loved every last bite!

MmmmmmmmmMMMMmmMMMMmmMMmmm! Seriously I could go on for ages. I used to think I just couldn't tell good meat from mediocre, but then I came here. I only got the chicken-fried steak, but it was absolutely legendary!! Highly recommended. The only issue is that the drinks are served by the employees from a small counter, resulting in large, slow lines to get your first one; fortunately, your waiter/waitress should give you refills. :-)

Great service, excellent service. We had a luncheon here following our daughters wedding. We were easily accommodated in the serving area of the lodge. Excellent menu choices and the food was outstanding.

We celebrated a special occasion at the Maddox Lodge tonight. We were treated really well and our food was delicious. It was wonderful to be able to enjoy Maddox food in a venue where we could all be so comfortably accommodated. We love this place!

My wife and I are both working professionals, and had little time to put into planning our wedding. We decided to let Maddox take care of the reception, and we were impressed. They did a wonderful job! They also did the cake and flowers. Stress free wedding!

Visited the Lodge for a large group party. It was a three course meal for $18- $21. My steak was cooked (med-rare) excellently: soft and juicy. I little salt went a loooong way. My girlfriend asked for medium and got a little more rare/pink than she wanted so I ate most of hers too. They only offer steak, fried chicken, and salmon with large groups- we had 20+ people there. Kind waiters, classy old fashioned environment.

Went here for my nieces wedding breakfast. Must say the salmon and filet mignon was the best ever! The servers we're super courteous and very professional. Would highly recommend this place for a wedding or banquet.

Beautiful, loved the waiters and loved the environment. The dessert was amazing .

Madox is a local favorite and worth the travel. Good home cooked American food. They have multiple locations in the one stop to accommodate a wide variety of customers. I haven't eaten at the drive thru but have done the fine dining and the upscale diner. Both areas are very nice and have there own theme and feel
