Best gateway to so many great trails in the St. George area! Some technical, so would recommend to more experienced mountain bikers. The views from the top are unmatched!

Great mountain bike trails. Rode precipice, sidewinder, and barrel roll, about 9 miles. Great scenery and views, and both technical riding and flow.

Great trail up to the Anasazi petroglyphs. Fairly busy in April - the best time of year for cool weather hiking.

One of my favorite trailheads! There are two options for parking, one for people who do not have 4 wheel drive at the base of the hill and the second is it up the gravel road (keep right). If you choose to park at the base of the hill there is a trail to the right of the road off the elevated piles of dirt that lead you up the hill and will lead you to the second parking lot. There are quite a few trails here that are hiking and biking friendly. Be sure to thoroughly research your trail options prior to going out if you are a newer mountain biker. Overall large scenic views and some great technical terrain.

Awesome trail system. Unless you’re in a low car either parking lot is great. Barrel roll and suicidal tendencies were great for trail running and hiking.

Hiking, mountain biking and horse trails, used mostly for mountain biking. Several trails and difficulties to choose, and provides access to Bearclaw Poppy and Green Valley trail systems.

Wonderful winding, climbing hike-and-bike Trail. Barrel Trails approximately 5 miles with about 500 feet in elevation change Be sure to bring plenty of water no shade or water available on the trail. Best to start early

This trailhead is one of the best trailheads in the trailhead family. There are really nice rocks and the dirt is extra dirty. The best part of the view is everything you can see.

The road approaching the trail head is in fairly good condition, much better than in years past. The trails are alot of fun on a bike, and I imagine would be fulfilling for a hike as well. Great views, and fairly challenging terrain that makes it fun to ride.

I found this by searching for mountain biking trails near our condo in St. George. We split our time here hiking and biking. The Barrel Roll bike trail is just one of four or five trails leading out of this trailhead. One of the trails is limited to hiking/horses. Barrel Roll is a great trail with a mix of downhill and uphill interspersed so that it's not just one long uphill climb and one long downhill. The trail goes back and forth across the hills and in through many ravines. It has one particularly difficult spot that we simply walked the bikes through. The trail has been labeled 'intermediate' and I would agree. It will challenge an intermediate rider without punishing the rider too much. Beginners would also find it enjoyable but be prepared to get off your bike a few times. Round-trip it took me and my 13 year-old son about fifty minutes to complete. It's recommended that you ride the loop clockwise but I think counterclockwise would work just as well. Enjoy!

We love the Cove Wash trail! It is not typically super busy, and we can take the dogs and they can run with us. The views are gorgeous, if you go out the entire way. This is one of my happy places. :)

A desolate spot just outside of town with excellent multi-use trails. Really enjoyed the mountain biking and the views. There's enough here that most people will need to come more than once to do it all. Big thanks to those who built the trails. Good job with them!

The trails in this area are sweet and there is something for every skill level. Try Suicidal Tendencies for the most challenging ride. Rim trails are a great way to see the beauty of the area. Barrell Roll and Sidewinder are easier trails but can be ridden fast if you want to bump up your cardio. You could spend the day out here and ride them all!!

There are several mountain biking trails that begin at this dirt parking lot and even a self service station to tune up and air up your bike. There is no shade so make sure to bring plenty of water with you, especially during the hot summer months.

Great Trail Run: The uphills wind nicely to allow for the mountain bikes which makes it a fun and fast climb to the top. Beautiful vistas to the north, well, everywhere actually....its St George, right!!! Highly recommend!
