Stopped here by chance looking for someplace to eat while in the neighboring town Roscoe. Glad we did because it was well worth it. The food was fantastic. The pork sandwich and the brisket were very tasty and delicious. Had eaten in a couple of other places in the area and it was disappointing and expensive. This places prices weren’t too high, and whatever you ended up paying was worth it because it was good. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

Awesome BBQ spot right off Route 17. The staff is super friendly and welcoming , the food is out of the world and everything is reasonably priced. We had the smoked wings (10/10), fried shrimp (perfectly breaded and cooked) and pit dog (snappy hot dog on a potato roll with mustard and cole slaw. Don’t sleep on the cole slow, get it as a side. I can’t wait to go back to try other things!

My wife and I were traveling from NY to Cornell in Ithaca. We were halfway done our 4-5 hour trip when we saw a giant billboard sign on 17 West. On a whim, we decided to give it a go because we needed a break. We were skeptical at first but we were delightfully surprised by the experience we had. The owner moved here from Brooklyn, bringing a smoker purchases many years ago and still running in top form, at least by how good the food tasted.

We ordered the half rack of ribs and the pulled pork sandwich. There is outdoor seating available and you order in the front. They have a single bathroom located inside the building. The food was ready within ten minutes and half of it disappeared before I got to take the photo! Both options were delicious and we were tempted to order the whole menu.

The owner came by our table and the other guests to ensure everything was taken care of for our meal. We had such a pleasant conversation and were happy to support the local business.

We are planning to go back again on our way back from Ithaca to NY. It's a great pit stop if you are traveling to Cornell. I'd highly recommend stopping by here, especially for all the students traveling back and forth to Cornell.

Really good food - we had the BBQ chicken sandwiches. Great options for kids too (especially the french fries). Service was fast and friendly. The house made lemonade was really good. Plenty of outdoor seating.

We've been here a few times to get take away -always delicious. That said today was the first time having the friend chicken sandwich. It maybe the best fried chicken I have ever tasted. Seasoning was perfect, coating was beautifully crispy, and the chicken was super juicy. It also was a massive portion and the customer service was incredibly welcoming.

Real friendly staff. They used to be in Brooklyn. We just moved upstate and finally got to try some. It was amazing! The dry ribs, smoked chicken, and Brooklyn wings were generous, smoky, and moist! No greasy taste. The Cole slaw was light and fresh and the cornbread should be listed as a dessert!!! It was soft and warm. We'll definitely be regulars! Thanks for the Brownie. YUM!

Went to this place while up in the Catskills. Awesome. Brisket sandwich, chicken sandwich, and took pork ribs to go. Some of the best BBQ ever had

Excellent barbecue. Do the combo platter. The meats are smoked for over 24 hours in the giant smoker pictured below. It just fell off the bone of the chicken and ribs. Brisket and pulled pork were excellent. So was the mac and cheese, corn bread, corn and collard greens. We cant wait to returm to the area so we can go back. Thank you Jennifer for a great meal and a great coversation!

Food: very tasty! I really liked the brisket and then Mac and cheese and then corn bread and also all the Cole slaws. I give 5 stars.

Atmosphere: so nice. I like how the restaurant is near the creek.

Incredibly delicious and flavorful bbq and sides here! The brisket was so fresh and rich! Super clean place with each table set comfortably apart. All the sides were really delicious too!

While staying at a B&B in the area it was suggested that we go here. Worth it! The 14hr brisket is SO GOOD, been dreaming about it since. I would skip the mac & cheese though.

Delicious! We had the pulled pork an and the pulled brisket sandwiches! 10 out of 10! The bread is so soft and sucks up the delicious barbecue sauce so well. We were so full after our sandwiched we barely had room for out tasty wings and fried shrimp! Love the outdoor pavilion to eat under.

The food was absolutely delicious. Prices were good for very generous portions (get the sandwich combo meal). Lately places around manor, Callicoon, narrowsburg, bethel, and the Catskills generally have been declining and disappointing me due to the owners not being on site and leaving the businesses to be managed by staff, but surprisingly this place has improved since I ate here last 2 years ago. Well done. When I ate here last I was not impressed and did not think I would return but this past weekend I was showing family around the area and most places have been charging exorbitant prices for either small portions or mediocre food lately but this place is a decent pick.

Saw a sign on 17 on my way to go hiking and stopped to check it out after the hike. Best decision of the day! Brisket was excellent!!

Great bbq. The ribs were some of the best I've had outside of Kansas City, the chicken was perfectly smoked. Sides were ok, but that doesn't detract from the great bbq.

This is some good barbecue! We've been there twice now. Staff is super nice. I especially love the ribs, my fiance loves the pulled pork. Food is overall good, and love the sauce options they offer on the table. Reasonable prices. They also have alcoholic drinks, which you don't usually see at a barbecue place and I appreciate it.

Not even hungry, we stopped at The Smoke Joint just planning to buy a drink for the road...then we were seduced the smokey aroma. Couldn't resist! We shared a beef brisket sandwich, and it is 7 hours later and we find ourselves still drooling about that sandwich. We wish we had ordered more. OH, btw, this recommendation coming from a Texan! Anyone who has complaints about this place has their diapers in a bunch. This BBQ would hold its ground in Austin 100%.
