Star Bar and Grill

We were looking for somewhere to grab dinner while traveling. Wife found Star online and it looked like a good spot. Please don’t take this the wrong way; the onion rings were VERY GOOD, and that was the worst part of our meal. Buffalo wings were awesome (but get there early because we heard they sell out quickly). Our burgers were great, and the sweet potato fries were the best we’ve ever had. Our waitress/bartender was very attentive but not overbearing. It’s definitely a “locals” kinda place, but travelers (like us) are made to feel like locals.

This place has really great food consistently. We make a point of coming here almost every time we're in the area.
Burgers and empanadas are unreal. I've had a couple of the soups which were great too. Really nice owner or manager (not sure which) and very fair pricing. Couple beers and food for a family of four for under $50. Good luck doing that in many places these days!

We are staying in the area in an air b&b cabin. We saw the positive reviews on yelp, however, we couldn't find an updated menu online. We called the restaurant & an employee sent us a picture of the updated menu. I urge management to post a menu on your website or Facebook. I would also recommend a light sign for the restaurant, as it's hard to find.

I had the honey dipped fried chicken, and she had a burger and Buffalo mac. I can honestly say that it was the best fried chicken I have had in my life. They must marinate the chicken before they fry it, it was so tasty. I also grabbed a few local cans of brew to go. All items were packaged nicely for takeout. The food is amazing!!!!

Really cool local watering hole with tasty food. The menu is on the smaller side, so everything they do, they do very well. The staff and guests were all very friendly and talkative. Thanks!

The food was absolutely fantastic! In house made empanadas...incredible. Classic cheeseburger was cooked perfectly, came with choice of onion rings or fries. Also a little cup of the best potato salad I've ever eaten. Next time I visit upstate N.Y. from San Francisco I am coming back!!!

Had a great experience. Everything service ,food and decor were great. Enjoyed the fried pickles and Pork Sandwich. Thanks to the staff for being so attentive.

Amazing food! Star Bar never disappoints their Thai chicken sliders are my personal preference but I have have to pick the best dish it would be the potato salad. Drinks are extraordinary, this is where my love for Armaretto Sour was born.

Came here for a quick dinner and drink when passing through. Food was above and beyond what I expected at a local bar. Service was attentive and the atmosphere was very happy.

Must try this new gem!! We discovered this place just a few days ago. My hubby & I went there yesterday & had delicious burgers. Today we did takeout from them. I got to try their 4 pc honey fried chicken. It was amazing, the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Be patient with staff it is only 2 people working on the floor & the other cooking the amazing food. Please go try them, you won’t regret it.

Star Bar has really good Wings and A great Spicy Chicken Sandwich! Nice place inside very clean! Definitely will always come back for lunch or dinner at Star Bar!

Great food, service, with a cool vibe. I walked in last summer for the first time and recognized the man behind the bar but couldn't put my finger on it. He was the bartender/waiter from a former Liberty restaurant. Great to see a hard worker acquire the American dream. The menu is modern and the beer is ice cold! Nice to see such a diverse crowd drinking and eating together. Support this local business!

The locale is so retro classic decor. Staff friendly and attentive and the food is delicious! We had the pull pork sliders and were well cooked, seasoned! Could not enough of the complementary potato salad!!

Super welcoming atmosphere and delicious food. My friends and I chose this place randomly as we were driving by Liberty. What a gem!! Small but cute place. We ordered few items from the menu and everything was very very good .. chicken avocado burgers, sliders, salads, quesadillas, and those French fries! We will be back!

Order anything on the menu, it's ALL delicious! I love their take on everything from fried pickles to a scrumptious southwestern burger. the staff are warm and welcoming. Go there, you won't be disappointed.
