Super 8 by Wyndham Deadwood/Black Hills Area

Motel is under new management, Amore and Shannon are great. They are very improving the Motel, extremely polite and try helping anyway they can. Rooms are clean and if you need anything the staff try getting what you need. Beautiful view by the creek.
With any motel stay, all you have to do is explain what you want. If you want microwave and refrigerator let them know. If you want a garden view of the creek, just ask. The rooms on the front side of the motel have a view of the parking lot, the rooms on the back side have a beautiful view of the creek.
They also have a back patio with a beautiful view of the creek. They have a heated smoke room, hot tub and heated swimming pool. The hot tub is my favorite.

Very nice staff and good pool. There is a casino in the hotel and a little food court with very yummy 🤤 pizza. No microwave in the room which would have been useful but still the rooms were clean and nice. We wished we could stay longer so much to do in Deadwood.

Great experience here! It’s an older, smaller building but they do a really good job on the setup inside. Staff were all great with our interactions. Loved the friendly atmosphere. Town is pretty cool too. Was worried as we had small kids with us. Minus some other adult tourist talking about inappropriate things in front of the kids and other families, the kids loved every minute of it.

A great Super 8 motel within walking distance of main street Deadwood. They have a nice Continental breakfast available along with a pool and small casino.

The beds were really comfortable and I had a very nice sleep. The water was hot in the shower and the pressure was strong.

I want to keep this place a secret. but no need to be selfish. Best.....place......ever. It has been my favorite place to stay in Deadwood for years now. Come here and you will experience pleasant and accommodating staff, beautiful location, and an excellent welcoming atmosphere. Try the cinnamon rolls for breakfast they are just like grandma used to make them! Casino staff are prompt with service and drinks, and the cafe has great pizza. Enjoy!

Area is super nice. I stayed here due to the casino. Rooms are great, bed was great. I enjoyed the recliner and huge bath tub.

Staff was very good. Casino was clean with an adequate snack bar menu. Breakfasts included fresh cinnamon rolls daily, along with cereal, waffles, juice and coffee. Would definitely stay here again.

This place was a fantastic hotel to stay and had everything we needed after a week living out of bike panniers on the Michelson Trail. The pool, hot tub, smoking deck, and pizza were all just fantastic.

But the real gem here is Angela the manager. We spoke with Deadwood pd and the "ordinance officer" for Deadwood about where can we leave a truck for a week while we ride the trail and return. Nobody cared to help. We stopped in and spoke with Angie and said we have a reservation here in a week, where can I leave a vehicle. She went out of her way to help us store it.. Wrote a note to put on the dashboard. When we returned after our ride she remembered us, gave us a ton of recommendations for food and things to do. What a great ambassador for the hotel and Deadwood. Thanks Angie! Thank you Super 8!

The room was clean and convenient!! Pool and hot tub great!! Slots great we win about $250! Breakfast great and seating area good!! But we loved the employees friendly faces everyday!! Always offering service with a smile!! Recommend highly!! 👍

Excellent location. Only about two blocks up from Main Street. You can easily walk or take the trolley for a dollar to main st. We vacationed with kids& friends. Casino is very decent with very friendly staff (and if you gamble you get free beer!!) ..Highly recommend this place. The rooms were clean, staff was friendly… Indoor pool and even a smokers lounge ! Beautiful rocky water stream in the back of the hotel & nice view. Free breakfast was basically a carb fest but they made the most fabulous homemade cinnamon and caramel rolls. Literally, to die for. I was gambling late in he evening in the casino and the whole entire place smelled like cinnamon rolls. I asked an elderly woman who was working in the casino (who was very pleasant) and she told me she was making “the cinnamon rolls for the next morning’s breakfast”. Such a gem this place is !!!

The Super 8 motel is very clean, the staff are very professional and friendly they go out of their way to help you and make your stay the best experience you ever had. I highly recommend this place. The rooms are very comfortable and clean the pillows put you to sleep in no time there so soft. We recommend it 1,000 %

This is not your super 8 of yesteryear folks. This hotel is fantastic. Its clean, the rooms are fantastic. The staff, especially Jeanne, are amazing, nice and helpful. I will never stay anywhere else when I come here as long as they have room. :) gorgeous view from the room and nice to listen to the water and relax after working hard all day.

My wife and I travel throughout the US & Canada expediting hot shot deliveries, so we do a lot of lodging & I must say that we would stay here everytime if possible. Connie @ the front desk was very hospitable & helpful. Linens & towels were fresh & clean & not aged at all. Breakfast was way above average for an economy motel. Because tourist traffic was light, the rates are very affordable. I read a previous review that said the rooms were small, but our room was spacious enough. I definitely would recommend staying here! We were very pleased with our recent stay at the Super 8 by Wyndham Deadwood/Black Hills Area. Location was perfect for our needs, and the addition of having the trolley stop at the hotel to take you downtown was perfect in that we didn't have to worry about taking the motorcycles downtown. The hotel was clean, breakfast & the Pizzeria were excellent, and the staff were awesome. Definitely would stay at this hotel again.

We stayed Valentines Day weekend 2016, It was a awesome experience. Rooms are decorated very well. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the pool area as well as the casino, and rate. We would go back to stay again at any given chance.

Fantastic staff and manager seems like an understatement for this group. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable making it an even better stay. If you want a great night's sleep in Deadwood stay here!

Older building but rooms are remodeled and clean. The beds are the most comfortable beds I've slept in any hotel. I was skeptical because ive stayed at other super 8s and they were dirty and the worst beds ive slept in so dont judge this Super 8 off of others. The trolley stops right out front for $1 rides to main street. Kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Cute deck area out back with creek running by. I would definitely stay here again! 7/2021

Didn't use the pool, but the rooms were better than any other Super 8 I've ever stayed at. The power outlets actually charged my electronics (unlike the outlets at the our stay earlier this week at Springhill Suites). A bubbling creek out the back window of my room. Why pay more? Definitely staying here next time!
