Comfort Inn & Suites Hotel in the Black Hills

Going to Deadwood for our Anniversary. Have not stayed yet, but Paul was very helpful and friendly when booking room. He went above and beyond to give me the best rate! Thank You Paul! I hope our stay there will be as pleasant as you were on the phone.

We stayed here for a weekend wedding close by. We had a room on an upper floor and it was very quiet. We did not hear people talking in the hallway or people next door after we went to bed, and we went to bed around 930/10--so this was nice considering it was a weekend and we figured there could be partiers next door. The breakfast was decent, several choices. The items that were made by them tasted fine. The eggs had a better taste to them versus other comfort inns I have been at--so not sure if there was something else added here or what--but that was nice. It was a very cold weekend for Sept, and my mom had left her earmuffs on a breakfast table--and luckily when I called one of the staff had picked them up and offered to send them to us. This was very nice of them to do. There is a nice walking trail across the street that was not busy at all to walk on. We did not get to try out all the other amenities that the hotel offered, so can't comment on those. If I return to the area will definitely book this place again.

Okay so this place is awesome! My husband and I were passing through town and decided to stop in Deadwood. I was surprised I was able to get the room knowing the town but since it was past peak season, that probably helped. There was a bar with a very nice bartender, the front desk clerks and additional staff were also very pleasant. There is a pool, hot-tub, FULL arcade with nostalgic games, pool tables, slot machines, a jukebox, prizes from the arcade, and food options at the bar. Needless to say, my husband and I were almost tempted to stay in, rather than stroll the main strip of Deadwood. I gave 4/5 for the rooms because this hotel was a little dated and some of the bathroom appliances and furniture could use some TLC. However, the beds were comfortable, atmosphere wonderful, we had a great time. Would stay here again.

Room was great, bed was comfortable and breakfast was great. All the extra activities they offer take away a little from the experience but if you like gambling or mini golf then they have everything you want at one place.

This is a very nice newer hotel that has plenty of parking even if you have a big trailer. It has a bar casino attached to it. It also has complementary breakfast as well as a nice view from either side.

My family stayed overnight before heading back home to Texas. The hotel is located just outside of downtown proper. The hotel was clean and quiet despite having a game room/bar area. The room was very clean and smelled nice. Ice and vending machines are near the elevator. There are pool tables near the bar area, a small gift shop, an arcade room for the kids, and a mini golf course out back. The only complaint I have was the pizza I purchased at the bar for fifteen dollars. One word..terrible. Go somewhere else if you have a pizza craving.

Off deadwoods main strip, quiet location with a pool, hot tub, arcade, game room and mini golf. Ideal for families that are vacationing.with youngers. small bar and eatery onsite.
Hotel has new owners and they updating A LOT. used to stay down on main street- new place to stay.
Trolley access so you can park at the hotel and go anywhere.

Very happy with our stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. Really nice pool area. The staff is very nice and helpful. The breakfast that was served had so many choices it was a great start to the day. I highly recommend this hotel when staying in Deadwood.

A great hotel with a beautiful location. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful about all the hot spots to go visit. Mini golf course, arcade room , bar , slot machines, restaurant, exercise room and the trolly that comes by every two hours to drop you off right to any location downtown. Will definitely be going back for the great experience.

This is the best Comfort Inn that I’ve stayed at. Staff was friendly, and professional. The room was clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was awesome every morning.

I like how the king bed suite was laid out. The room was clean and everything worked. Breakfast is good and this includes the coffee. They have a nice area to enjoy your breakfast. Also included with the hotel is a bar and grill with casino and a gift shop. The staff are very friendly and quick to assist you.

What a gem even in winter! Arcade, bar, pool tables and darts all open after lunch in the hotel. Perfect start with breakfast, a somewhat small pool but absolutely sufficient. Just was absolutely great. We did stop at the visitors center and get $1 tokens for the deadwood trolley. If you pay on the trolley, it’s $2 per ride but it’s a great way to get around from the hotel. My only wish is that the trolley would stop at the chocolate shop up the road or a hotel near it - no issue of the hotel, just my little wish:)

We travelled through South Dakota and stayed at 3 different motels, this was by far the best hotel we have stayed at not just in this travels but in previous travels. Amazing service from staff, room was spacious and very clean the whole hotel was clean. Not happy about the arcade, kept taking kid's money and many machines ended up having sign saying out of order but my kids still had tons of fun. Mini golf was so much fun, one the best I've been too. Breakfast was not very exciting and ended going downtown to eat, however we understand with the Covid thing. Will definitely be going back when we travel again!!!!

Staff was very helpful and a very hard worker .
This place has it all a billiards room, dart boards, gamer room for the kiddos, swimming pool and hot tub for them times u need to relax. Plus the bar was nice and excellent food.
My room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good too. FYI nachos and breakfast pizza bomb.

Rooms were very clean! They have a great breakfast, staff was very helpful and polite! So nice to be away from downtown with kids but being able to take the trolley in when we wanted. We also had fun with the mini golf. Definitely will recommend to friends and family and will be back!

Would highly recommend! The room was clean, modern and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious. The continental breakfast was excellent. The staff was very courteous and the location was fabulous. You will not be disappointed!

I had a wonderful 6 night stay. When checking in I was greeted with respect and welcome. The hotel is remarkably clean and appealing. The room was spacious and relaxing. The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff throughout the facility was friendly outgoing and welcoming. The Inn is conveniently located by amenities the hiking trail snowmobile trail downhill skiing museums and local shops. Parking was very assessable. I would highly recommend the hotel, had a wonderful stay. It is set in a beautiful Vista.

The breakfast bar was nice & the hotel room was super clean! Housekeeping left a little note on our table & everything was well stocked. The bed was super comfortable & the overall atmosphere there was very good! Pretty bedroom window views too 😊

I'm currently staying at this property and I felt obliged to write a review. I stay in hotels for several months out of the year, and this one has made quite an impression. The super nice gentleman who checked me in is one of the best hospitality workers I've encountered. He truly went above and beyond in making me feel comfortable and welcomed. Apart from the service, the hotel itself is wonderful. The room I'm staying in is super clean and modern. Breakfast has good variety with several hot options. All common areas are very well-maintained and flawlessly clean. The fitness center is small yet sufficient. (No unpleasant odor and everything seemed to be clean and in very good working order.) They even have a promotion where if you pass on having your room serviced (in a go-green effort) you receive a coupon for a complimentary beverage/snack--very cool! Even if I wanted to find something to criticize here I don't think I could. This hotel has truly exceeded my lofty expectations. If you are ever in the Deadwood area, you'd be silly not to stay here.

My wife and I just spent 3 nights here. Very clean and very quiet. Staff is top notch and helped us fix a reservation mess thru a 3rd party. Would stay again if in the area.
