Best Japanese restaurant in Yorktown!
Never seen such a fat shrimp tempura and fresh salmon this far from ocean :) servicing staffs are very friendly and the owner is on sight to make sure everything is right. Came with no expectation but came out with satisfied customer! Definitely a repeat custome!

I've been eating at Hirame for years, this review is long overdue.

Unassuming on the outside and when you enter but have no fear this family owned restaurant will win you over.

Whitney will probably greet, seat and wait on you, as others said she is super friendly makes you feel welcome. She recognizes us and remembers our favorites, or is quick to make a reccomendation.

The sushi is the best in upper Westchester, always fresh and consistently great. Udon bowls are also excellent.

If you like sushi, Hirame is highly reccomended.

Great family run spot that has the best sushi . Our family loves this spot and all the options especially some Japanese favorites i miss from my time in Tokyo when i was younger . Haven’t found a dish I don’t love !!!

We love this place! It's fabulous for little children as they have a small play area and they're very accommodating. We've also been happy with using Hirame sushi for large platters of sushi rolls for parties. Their food is consistently great.

Nice place to have good Asian food. Constantly good quality and service.

The hostess is always friendly. The sushi has always been fresh and tasty. I have brought this food to my co-workers in the City, many of them used to high end sushi. They LOVE the rolls from Hirame. When I call an order in, I call it in 15 minutes before I am going to arrive and it’s always ready.

Update:I still come here, and now my kids are totally in love with their food as well. Whitney even makes them a special lo mein, and she suggests specific sushi rolls for my kids, and they try them AND LIKE THE SUSHI. Love this place.

Boys have been asking for sushi and I came across this place after a google search. Reviews were spot-on- Whitney was excellent - friendly, warm and efficient. Food was amazing- we got lettuce wraps, tempura and gyoza. Rolls/sushi were very fresh and delicious. Vegetable lomein loaded with fresh veggies. Husband didn’t care for 5-spice/sweet flavor of chicken and broccoli but thumbs up overall!

Very nice family owned restaurant with good quality for the price. The staff were very friendly and the decor was nice. Large portions. Would highly recommend the miso soup.

Hirame -- an absolute local treasure -- consistently serves up quality, fresh and delicious sushi, bento boxes and more. Whitney is amazing, you barely have to tell her what you want when you order. She already knows (she gets to know her customers and their likes). The Hirame family is always willing to participate in Yorktown events, fundraisers and catering. We are lucky to have their business in our neighborhood.

Everyone has a place in their town where they are known and considered "regulars." Well this is our place. My husband and I have dinner here at least once every 2 weeks. It also where we take anyone who visits us out to eat! The food at Hirame is delicious and we've never had a problem with any of it (and we've had dishes from each category of the menu). Hands down, best sushi in town. The service of every worker there is friendly and efficient. You can tell that this restaurant is run with pride. Highly recommended.

This sushi place is great! It’s in a strip mall, easy to park, and the food is authentic! Whitney is great and always remembers our favorite dishes. We don’t even need a menu anymore. Highly recommended!

Lady was professional and quick, chicken and broccoli with fried rice was amazing 10/10🔥. If your looking for a nice brunch definitely go here👍🏼

Ate here last night for the first time. Admittedly a little nervous when I walked in, outdated decor and cluttered sushi bar area and only 2 tables occupied.
Well I'm glad I stayed-the service and the food were excellent. Quality, fresh, delicious! Will be back soon.

Best sushi in this area. We love the crunchy spicy salmon + crunchy spicy tuna rolls. Veggie gyoza is tasty too. All the food is fresh. Went here once now I've gone back three times in the same week. Obsessed

I have NOT been disappointed by the sushi I've received from Hirame. Always delicious, and always a great culinary experience (and their "wasabi paste" has a great kick! One of the strongest I've had!)

The fish is very high quality and if you get a lunch special the prices are very good.

The non-Japanese items tend to be good, not great, but the sushi and sashimi are still strong enough to merit the 5 stars.
