Are you looking for a Home Away from Home! Well, stop looking and book your stay NOW!!!! Truly a great experience each and every time I have stayed (yup I've been multiple times). Nancy was super accommodating my most recent stay which was pretty last minute. If you are looking for a host that is professional, friendly, and authentic, then you are looking for Nancy. The overall experience is top notch from the facility itself to the community experience with all the other guests. Each visit I have met new people that are sociable and freely willing to engage in conversation. I've told myself multiple times I'm going to go to bed early just so that I can get an early start for the next day; only to find myself staying up much later than I wanted to because I got caught up chatting away with new acquaintances. The facility is very clean, and the accommodations are just right, regardless of the length of your stay. Nancy and her crew are the type of hospitable folks that make your stay feel like an extension of your own home. I also want to give a shout-out to Alex for being so welcoming on each of my follow up stays. It's always nice when you are remembered, but when you can tell that someone is authentic when they greet you with a smile on their face while they say "Welcome Back!" honestly it just starts your stay off on an even more positive note!

The Bunkhouse is a fantastic place to stay for an affordable trip to the mountains! Nancy, Fischer, and all their staff are absolutely amazing! Super clean, safe, and comfortable. Greatly surpassed every expectation. They truly do open their home to their guests and you quickly feel like family. Bus line directly across the street for easy access to Vail and Beaver Creek. Plenty of restaurants in Minturn or bring and cook your own food. A great experience and will definitely be returning!

I can not express enough how much I enjoyed my experience at The Bunkhouse. Every hope I had was surpassed. The lodging itself was great. If you want to cook your own meals, this place is well stocked and the spice collection - game changer!!! I slept really well all nights, 6 total. I met some amazing people and had some unforgettable days on the slopes with them. I was also able to do my own thing when I wanted. The staff were amazing and helpful, and very entertaining to have around. Simply a great vacation. Thanks Nancy and everyone there!

The first hostel I've stayed in. Really just a great accommodation especially if you don't know the area. I was there snowboarding for 6 days and some of those days I ended up going with people I just met. Everyone that works there is friendly and there were really no issues with any guests while I was there. Kitchen is fully stocked too and wish I had planned to cook more. This trip was the best experience snowboarding I've ever had and this place only added to that.

I stayed at the bunkhouse with my friend Tony this weekend and had the best experience ever on our snowboarding trip. It was such a blast and the staff was so professional and the facility was so clean. The pods were so spacious it was like having my own little hotel room. It was right In between Vail and beaver creek. The town of Minturn had many awesome restaurants in walking distance. The owners Nancy and Fisher were two of the coolest host you could ever ask for. I can’t wait to come back later this season and stay again.

A great spot to stay that is close to Vail. The Bunkhouse was a great spot as a solo traveller to stay. The bunk room with the pods is great, you have privacy in your own space and they are relatively sound proof - I couldn't hear anyone snoring until I would get out of bed.
The kitchen Is well equipped and the bathrooms really clean. There are three buses out the front that come on the hour to take you to Vail between 7 and 9am and then two at 4 and 5pm to bring you back.

Had a great stay at the bunkhouse! Great welcoming staff, relaxed atmosphere. Easy access to Vail/Beaver Creek with ~10 min drive. Good food options in Minturn or can cook onsite too. Free earplugs dispenser so don't buy a pack at the store like I did! Got to chat a bit with the owner too, great guy. And of course gotta give some love to Diamond, a real sweetheart. Hope to make my way back here soon!

A wonderful, cozy, welcoming place to stay when skiing Vail or Beaver Creek. The owner and staff were super friendly and helpful. They invited me to join them in town for dinner the first night, it was really nice to meet other skier staying there, since I was solo. Loved the privacy of the pods and cute town of Minturn. Highly recommend!

Just stay here. Don’t think about it. Just do it. I spent 8 days here as a solo traveller and didn’t want to leave. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. Some hostels have a weird vibe between the long stays/live in staff and short stays. This place is like a family home. The kitchen is well appointed, the bunks are like little capsules and feel private and the bathrooms are remarkably clean for a hostel. The town of Minturn is cute but small. Plenty of restaurant options but you’ll need to get groceries from the Safeway in Vail or Walmart in Avon. Easy buses morning and afternoon to and from Vail. Cannot recommend enough.

The crew was friendly, the facility was always clean. The bathrooms smelled great. The bed was comfortable. The random group of people there were friendly as well. I had an amazing time and if I go back to snowboard at Beaver Creek, this is my number one place to stay.

Bunkhouse is the perfect spot, really clean, and great people. Definitely the place to stay if you’re coming to ski at Vail or Beaver Creek. Protip: take the bus from the airport to avon, then uber to the Bunkhouse to save from an expensive rental/uber. From the Bunkhouse there is a bus stop out front for a quick trip to vail or beaver creek. Bunkhouse is affordable itself, you won’t have to rent a car or take expensive Ubers, and you’ll ski legendary mountains.

The bunkhouse is a great place for anyone looking to visit the Vail area. I have stayed here many times and will continue to keep coming back. The staff are friendly and welcoming and will treat you like family!

Moreover most of the guests during the winter are looking to ski or snowboard and you are sure to make friends along the way, so don't be afraid to come alone. I have been fortunate enough to come alone and with a small group of friends and have never had a bad experience.

Most recently I stayed in an upper pod which provided a nice quiet relaxing experience in between snowboarding days. In the off time there are many good restaurants and spots to hang out at in Minturn. Everything you need is a short walk away.

The bus stop to go to and from Vail Mtn is located right across the street from the bunkhouse and makes getting there and back very straightforward while avoiding parking etc.

I would recommend the bunkhouse to anyone who is looking for a great alternative to expensive AirBnBs in the area. This is a cost effective way to get your days on the mountain in. Moreover for single travelers or small groups you will be sure and find like minded people from all over the world with unique stories and backgrounds.

This was my second annual Jan trip to the Bunkhouse. I stayed for 12 nights this time. They have the best staff ever and I am so thankful Nancy founded this place. I always feel incredibly safe at the Bunkhouse. They don't tolerate any non-sense and everyone is so friendly there. It's hard not to be happy in Minturn. There is plenty of great food and public transportation around. Ubers and Instacart are available in the area if you don't rent a car like me. They have a great full kitchen with containers you can use. I was able to work remote three days (at the Bunkhouse and Sunrise Minturn across the street) and shred 8 while I was there. I also really enjoyed some yoga across the street. I can't be thankful enough for the Bunkhouse's existence.

Even night time walks are great to take a moment near the river two blocks from the Bunkhouse or enjoy the silhouette of the mountains or the stars.

Fist time using the bunkhouse but won't be my last. Nancy and her team were all very welcoming. The environment was very relaxed and all other guest were amazing too. There are some really great restaurants you can walk to and the bus can take you to vail transportation center quickly. Uber ride back is also not very expensive. Awesome experience all around

One thing everybody passing through or long term staying at the bunkhouse is that they’re on their journey and have a story to tell. Not for anybody who avoids people. 😂
I enjoyed the clean facilities and daily maintenance and how could I forget the cup of coffee every morning to share with fellow travelers. Cheers.

Super cozy spot. I felt like I was staying at my friends house very warm and friendly environment. Clean as well which honestly something I was worried about. The bunks for being 5' 10'' and 220 lbs I slept quite comfortably. They are also located right inbetween Vail and Beaver Creek which are great mountains. 1 hour away from glenwood hotsprings it's a great location. They also had this awesome beautiful pitbull and the bathroom had heated tiles!! I am impressed for the quality and pricing for this Unit is unmatched and I would 100% comeback.

Very clean, and a laid back atmosphere. The owners were accommodating, and fellow visitors were friendly. Conveniently located close to Vail & Beaver Creek. I would definitely stay here again.

This place is an absolutely hidden gem and one of the best hostels in Colorado! Highly recommend, especially for a fun little staycation. Tons of stuff to do in the area and all the Minturn restaurants are legit!

The Bunkhouse is amazing.The staff is great. The vibes are great. The energy from the staff will keep you smiling. The bunks have lots of space and are very comfortable. This entire place is extremely clean. It’s been a great experience so far and I highly recommend staying here. Thank you for such great hospitality.

Great and convenient location to visit places along I-70 corridor and beyond. There is everything a traveller needs. Clean bed, showers, laundry and common areas with a kitchen. Respectful and fun guests and a great host. Recommended.
