The Village Diner

This place is as it says: a village style, mom & pop diner. Old style, breakfast/early lunch hours, and reasonable prices. Nothing is fancy or "decorated" on the plate to make it look better than it is. You get it as it's stated on the menu. Clean and simple but a nice serving size so you don't feel cheated. I ordered a short stack of pancakes. There was nothing short about it. It was a very large portion and tasted good as well.

Everyone cleaned their plates. We got there in good timing because around 10am it started filling up. We definitely beat the rush.

Service got fewer stars because our waitress seemed overwhelmed. She was an older lady. We received everything we asked for she just was kind of short and snappy with us at times.

First-time patrons - greeted by super friendly staff. Sat down, ordered, and served within 20 minutes!

Corned beef hash IS made in house, cinnamon bun pancakes are to die for - covered in cinnamon sugar and even have cream cheese icing. Last but not least, the eggs benedict was a generous combination of thick ham with plenty of hollandaise to go around.

Very cute retro diner. The staff were very attentive, making sure food came out of the kitchen as ordered. Wish I knew the waitresses name to give kudos, but they both were exceptional. My eggs were perfectly over easy. Loved every part of it. Its been awhile since Ive seen such care. Thank you

first time trying this restaurant w/ my friends after church and i can honestly say i enjoyed my meal. i got the corned beef hash, even though it doesn’t look homemade it is and when you taste it you can tell it’s homemade. the potatoes were to die for, they were the puffy potato kind nor the shredded. these potatoes were roughly chopped and seasoned very well. i had cheese on top of mines and it set it off! the eggs were pretty good, i had wheat toast and it had oats on it. i was okay w/ that type of toast because i love oats or sunflower seeds baked into my bread. it has such a homely feeling and the staff makes you feel comfortable. i recommend everyone to try this diner, you can’t come across good diners anymore. i will come again!

Solid breakfast. Quick service and food to the table. The Gyro omellette was stuffed with feta! The hasbrowns were average, and the pancake was really good. Over all, a really solid basic offering of breakfast items.

It is like stepping back in your grandmother's dining room for breakfast. It is not pretty or fancy but it tastes great and it is cheap. The servers will make you feel like you are a family member if you treat them right.

This place is great! The ladies are always so nice and accommodating! The breakfast is awesome, along with a great selection . My boyfriend loves the lox eggs and onion. I haven’t ordered one thing off the breakfast menu that I didn’t like. Plus every now and again there is some artwork on the sidewalk near the front door done by the dishwasher. The meal in the picture is freshly beaded veal scrambled eggs cooked in lite butter and crispy home fries with onion and rye toast. All for 8.50 😃

Yup, loved it. It is a diner in every sense and was slightly David lynch-esqe. I was expecting the log lady to show up at any time. Diner wise, the food was good with extremely large portions. There was no way I was ever going to be able to finish my food. I wish I had tried the benedict but I'm always scared that the sauce will be snot like at diners, so maybe next time!

Great little place. Food was great, staff was good. It could use a renovation and new furniture, but that doesn't detract from the yummy food.

What a great place with fun atmosphere. The food and service was an A+. My girls really liked it and at the end they gave them a little surprise from the case. Thank you I will be back!

My brother has a dog named Beans. Earlier today, he took me and his girlfriend out for breakfast at this Village Diner!
When we walked up to the door, it was clear that it was a full house. The entrance was full of people waiting to be seated, including a party of about six and an average looking fireman (who I will call Phil). A few minutes later, after a man and his two friends were in line behind us, some people cut in line to the front. They tried to play it off, but the man behind us sniffed them out from a mile away! He politely told them that there was a line.
However, a server (who I will call कमचजयुसू) heard him and thought he was being rude. कमचजयुसू told him that she didn't want customers to leave, and then proceded to seat him first for some reason. Fortunately, she came back pretty soon and seated us.
The rest is a blur, but is perfectly clear in my fourth eye. Another server (who I will call 8) gave us menus. While I was looking at them i was reminded of Bob Evans (stinky). This impression turned out to be in the top Ten least correct assumptions of all time.
I decided to order the three pancakes with a side of bacon. 8 came along and took our orders. I got a water to drink (picture attached). My brother ordered the sunrise plus and his girlfriend ordered biscuits. While we were waiting for our food, we saw some kids go into the serving area. They were removed by कमचजयुसू (not 8, he would never do such a thing).
Before long, कमचजयुसू informed us that they were out of biscuits but offered Texas Toast instead, which we accepted (I have no idea what that is).
When our food arrived, we were astounded, pleasantly surprised, amazed, awestruck, pleased, chundered (the good kind if such a thing exists), and more with how our food tasted. My pancakes were absolutely massive and the bacon was perfectly crisp, with no gross fatty parts. The water complimented them perfectly.
Unfortunately, out time at Village Diner could not last forever. We soon had to pay for our food, get a box for what remained of my pancakes, and leave. 8 was an egg-celent server.
To put it simply, Village Diner lives up to the name, and I would rate it 836 stars if I could. As a fellow reviewer said,
“Absolutely fantastic eatery. Could not recommend enough!”

I haven't even finished eating, and had to RAVE about the breakfast bowl. Quite simply... stupendous, glorious, AWESOME!!! Monster portion reasonably priced. My co-worker had the MeatLovers Omlet he has been silent except for the" Uuummmmm this is so good" Quality products huge portion reasonably priced,27 out of 10 stars. Thank you for this, we will be back

Found this place completely by accident and cannot say enough positive things! The atmosphere was extremely inviting, the staff were super polite, and OMG the food! Reasonably priced, huge portions, and absolutely delicious. We ordered the chocolate chip pancakes, a veggie omelet, and the shrimp and grits! Everyone was in the clean plate club.🙂 Highly recommend.

I've always enjoyed my food here. It's a dinner that closes in the late afternoon so I've never had dinner there. Everything is cook to order, with great portions and the servers are attentive enough but not overbearing. I have taken dinner home to enjoy later or even the next day. The liver and onions are the best I've ever had and that's unique because as I child I didn't like it the way it was prepared at home. 🥞🧇🍳🥓☕
