Sylvania Te'kela

Okay, first off, I grew up in California, where you can’t throw a rock without hitting a Mexican food restaurant. So, it’s hard to impress me. Not being a jerk, it’s just that I know the cuisine… Te’kela took it to the next level! The cheese enchiladas was creamy and perfectly melted with a great mouth feel. The Fajita shrimp burrito was a huge surprise! Rice and beans were perfect. (We’ve gotten some bad stuff before.) The pork sliders with the Chipotle BBQ sauce was inspired. I never EVER would have thought that the best Mexican food I’d ever eat would be in Ohio. I can not wait to have some of our California visiting friends to try this place out!

Small restaurant in Sylvania is something I don't think you would realize as an authentic restaurant. Mexican that is. From the looks of the sign on the outside of the building you wouldn't know it's Mexican but the food is spectacular. I recommend it to anybody in the area. Stop in. Have a bite. I can't tell you the last time I've had bad Mexican food but this place was very good. Top notch will definitely be back. I think a lot of the staff are people from the schools or colleges around here and all the service was great. Keep up the good work and we'll see you soon

Happy hour is 3:00-5:30 every day, half off appetizers and drinks, best deal around.

Decided to stop in and try the Birria tacos, Best I've ever had!! They had the right spicy juicy flavor, corn tortillas were perfect, you get a generous portion of meat, cheese, onion & cilantro. They were worth the hour drive from where I live, will 100% be back!!

You could tell the server was new 🙄 Besides that, everything in my plate was absolutely delicious 😋 I suggest the steak wet burrito 😋😋😋

Love their food! The service is always great but this time we got take out. Our food was ready on time and still hot when we got home. Our portions were plenty and we ate the socks off our chips and queso!

We visited Sylvania Tekela while on vacation. We had a large group of 8, and it took an hr to seat us . Ray the manager , took care of us by giving us some free apitizers. We wanted to go there to check out the food for a wedding rehearsal party . The food was fantastic. The tacos were delicious as with the dips . Thank you Ray for taking care of us . Our son and his fiance will be contacting you soon .

Went for happy hour on a Taco Tuesday. Service was amazing. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was great. Will be back.

Was there for a funeral luncheon. The taco bar they had provided was delicious. Lots of options for topping. The servers were prompt and friendly with our bar.orders. will go back to try other items.

Amazing Happy Hour EVERY DAY 3-5:30 pm. Half off drinks (even pitchers) and appetizers!! Happy hour is usually VERY busy so please remember, tip should be based on regular prices (double tip if everything you ordered was half off). Example my last check for 3 people with pitcher of margs was $31.50, but would have been $63 regular price so I tipped $13. I've never been a server, but appreciate their hard work.

Super busy on a Tuesday around 5pm. We barely got a seat at the bar. The food came out super fast, like less than 7 mins. It was good! The meat in the enchiladas was kind of bland and the avacado enchilada was guacamole, not avacado slices, FYI. The salsa was so good. The quesadilla was really good.

I thought I had experienced good Mexican food....WRONG! This place has good vibes, busy but not too loud or intrusive. The food? Just bring it in vats, it is so flavorful, fresh, and seasoned just right. The drinks are outstanding and delicious. Courteous attentive staff. A must go to place. We will be returning! Thank you all so much!

Our waitress, Holly, was wonderful. She went out of her way to help us have a great meal. The hostess was also helpful in finding us a booth and bringing us another fork.
The white sangria with strawberry was good too. We complimented all to the manager.

I had steak tacos with rice and beans. I ordered my dad 3 enchiladas, beans, chicken, ground beef. For desert I ordered the fried ice cream. Also took a taco salad Togo for my mom.
The tacos were fantastic. My dad said he really enjoyed his enchiladas which is saying a lot coming from him (usually things are ok or terrible, rare to hear him say anything other than that).
The main actor had to be the fried ice cream. I've had many over the years. From chi chi's, la fiesta, Cinco de Mayo, Loma Linda, etc..

In conclusion this food was fantastic as was the service. Highly recommend for anyone looking for good Mexican American food.

We had a party of 19 and one server named Drew took care of all of us. He was exceptional. Not one mistake in our bills and was on top our needs the entire time. Great job!

Tekela in Sylvania hosted 45 of our closest family friends for my parents anniversary and it went super well! ROSE and BRADEN you guys were the BEST! Manager Kesha was great too. If you’re ever headed to Tekelas for a table or a big party, request one of these gems! Thanks again guys!

The beef fajita chimichanga with refried beans and Mexican rice with the guacamole relish was delicious. My sister had the patron, and that was wonderful. The service was excellent. Thanks, Drew!

We had Tina as a waitress and had a large party. She was FABULOUS! Excellent service and the food was amazing. I have a chicken fajita chiminchaga and it was to die for! You have to go!!! Love love love it!!

I have eaten at Tekelas for years without a problem. I just had a 60th surprise birthday party for my wife. The staff from beginning to end were nothing but helpful and nice to me, my family and friends .
