The only true deep dish Chicago style pizza in the city. The meatball appetizer was really good homemade meatballs covered in cheese and marinara sauce served with lots of garlic toast. The deep dish pizzas take about 45 min to cook. I told myself I would eat 3 slices I was stuffed beyond after 2 slices. Overall a great experience and a great place for pizza. We will be going back.

Chicago Pizza close to home, deep dish sausage, compared identically to Chicago Lou Malnati’s butter crust !! 5 Stars Delicious!!! Hidden treasure in Toledo. Newer in town and why is this place hidden! Living in Columbus and in Chicago. This pizza is superb!! Wow!

Delicious deep dish style pizza before a Friday night Hens game. Seated a few minutes before 5 and the pizza takes 30-40 minutes.

We went with a small half cheese and half pepperoni. Guess which slice this is?

Both tasted great. Complemented the meal with a side dinner salad - big enough for two.

This is a great, clean PizzaPapalis location in downtown Toledo! Their deep dish pizzas are excellent with crispy, flaky crush and a healthy amount of cheese, fillings, and sauce. They also don't go light on the sauce so you get a good amount of flavor with every bite. The deep dish pizzas do take about an hour to cook, but it's worth it. They also have Detroit style pizza available, which would be my next try here. The bread sticks are good however a bit smaller than I expected.

As out of town travelers my family and I were looking for a good place to eat. We found this pizza place and we were very pleased! Not only was the food delicious and the service great, but we accidentally left a bag of expensive items we recently purchased behind when we left. The restaurant staff kept the bag in a safe location with a copy of our food receipt. When I emailed them the next day looking to see if our bag was there I got a quick response from their manager event though the restaurant was closed that they indeed had our bag. This meant so much to me and my family! So it’s a great place to eat with great employees!

Food was good. Prices were reasonable. Service was very accommodating and helpful. Small side salad was very large. 6" deep dish was very filling for 1 person.

The Deep Dish Chicago style pizza is outstanding!!! They also have a great drink called Papa's Punch that's a mixture of fruit juice and a few clear liquors! Great prices too!

Reminds me of being home in Detroit🥰.

Whenever I’m in the mood for a nice deep dish pizza and I can’t go to my favorite spot in Chicago, I always choose Pizza Papalis.

My food was fresh and accurate. I did order it and get it delivered through DoorDash, but everything was perfect.

I normally get a personal deep dish with spinach and cheese. With a side Greek salad and boneless barbecue wings. Always really good!

Give it a try if you haven’t❗

First time being here and OMG the mango habanero wings were so delicious I highly recommend them and the chicken pepperoni Canadian bacon papazon was so good and for dessert we had deep dish chocolate chip cookie. Everything was so good is a must stop and try it out

Pizza was delicious!! One of the best deep dish I've ever tried. Their sauce is well seasoned. I got the 3 cheeses and spinach adding bacon and pepperoni. I was not disappointed.

We went before a Mud Hens game, and it was perfect. Sat at the bar and had a good view of the street goings-on. The bartender was sweet with an attitude. I believe her name was Michelle. She was delightful. The food was amazing, especially the bone-in wings. Michigan bourbon sauce had an excellent flavor. The signature drinks were also delicious. Will definitely be back.

Deep dish is delicious! Cheeseburger pizza and beer? Yes please! Great downtown location. Nice for private parties and catering. Gets busy during games and events so do be prepared to wait during those times. Would eat here again.

Love, love, love the deep dish pizza here. It is Devine! My whole family looks forward to the trip from MI to Toledo just to have Pizzapaplis Deep Dish Pizza. It is well worth the price. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys pizza. The decor is pleasant and fun in restaurant, the staff is always super friendly and accommodating. I would give them 10 stars if possible.

Ordered a deep dish and couldn't pick it up until 10 minutes after they closed, Manager said no problem, I'll wait for you! Great service and once again fantastic Deep Dish pizza! Thanks again! We will be back!

Reviewing’s a chore sometime, but gotta put in the effort on this one. I’ve had Detroit style pizza before but it was alright. Turns out, the crust needs to be done right. PizzaPapalis’s crust is done right. Put some mushrooms and banana peppers on it. Great stuff. And then there’s like a whole baseball stadium right there? First time in Toledo. Great spot to check out

Wow, talk about a great deep dish pizza. The best I've had outside of Chicago. On the downside, the deep dish takes about 40 mins (our server gave us a head's up). It's worth it though. Also the location downtown right beside the Mudhens stadium is great.

One of the the best places I have ever had deep dish! The reviews are very accurate. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
