Hoppy's Railyard Kitchen & Hopgarden

We came in for lunch as a family of four adults and two toddlers on a weekday. We luckily came in before a rush of people so there wasn't a wait time.

The service from host to waitress is aces! Our nieces especially loved having Kayla as their waitress; she is real sweet and informative in helping us choose our dishes.

The sauvignon blanc and hoppy beer were exceptional! So much so my brother and I went for second servings.

The food is delicious and plentiful; orders were the fried chicken sandwich, the Cubano, fish and chips and Mac & cheese for the kids with a side of fruit and fries.

I would specifically recommend the seasoned cajun fries and the cubano is a great option to split with someone, my mom eats like a bird and even she ate her whole half.

Aesthetically, the restaurant is really chic on the inside and hipster chic outdoors, we had already spent all day inside of a museum so we opted for outdoors.

If we're ever back in Sacramento, we definitely plan to come back!

What a great place to get a meal.
Our waiter was excellent and the rest of the staff we interacted with were great.
The deviled eggs were good. The pizza was great and the bourbon cherry cheesecake was amazing.
They have a broad selection of beers and the location couldn't be better.

Stopped in here with my family as we were walking around looking for a place to eat. Definitely not disappointed. A very nice and clean place with amazing food. The seasoned ribeye is a must and they had plenty of other options for the whole family!

Their website is dated in look and feel in both the design and things like the social icons. A lot of scrolling on mobile due to wasted space and with no real brand consistency. An update could help for sure to navigate to what is needed.

We will be coming back here for sure.

We took a day trip to old Town Sacramento from Bakersfield on the Amtrak San Juaquins. The previous evening we had read reviews of the restaurants that were in old town Sac and decided to give Hoppy's Railyard Kitchen & Hopbgarden a try. We definitely made the right choice. There is a wide variety of craft beers to choose from and you will be hard pressed to not find something that appeals to your individual taste. Top-notch food served here as well. The portions are large enough to leave you feeling well satisfied. The next time we visit, we'll try to leave room for dessert. Our server Molly B. was a delight. She was charming,bubbly, and very knowledgeable about the menu. I would recommend Hoppy's Railyard Kitchen and Hop garden to anyone visiting old town Sacramento who enjoys great craft beers, delicious food, and all around nice people. Oh... by the way, if you visit Hoppy's on the Amtrak, you don't have to worry about a designated driver!😛🍻

The hoppy hour prices are very good. It was 20 bucks for the huge nachos, wings, and a beer. Great food, pretty restaraunt inside and outside, nice staff, and a very funny owner who's got humor all over the place from the menu to the bathroom signs. Love it! Loved the outside patio, even got to feed some meat bees who came and took a chunk out of my wings! Thank you. Check it out.

Great place for food and drinks and can go casual or classy as you’d like. Finally found a great stout - New Helvetia Homeland - which paired wonderfully with their Yard Goat pizza. Very fresh and superb flavor. Staff made nice suggestions and very pleasant. Definitely worth a visit and a repeat.

Had a delicious late lunch here! The brisket was so tender I could have eaten it with a spoon and the potatoes have that beautiful golden brown outsides but we're soft and buttery inside. Would definitely eat here again!

I was dog sitting for my neighbor...so I sat in the dog friendly sidewalk seating for Sunday brunch. Their staff always give me excellent service when I have a dog. I had a special they had "steak benedict". It was great! I wish they served it regularly...

Joe's crab shack was an hour wait and while walking around we found the Railyard. Great atmosphere as you walk in, and the restaurant is warm and inviting. Service and food didn't disappoint either. Glad we stopped and stayed

Great happy hour place! Got the up in smoke cocktail and it's dope! Mainly just got appetizers but everything was excellent. Best place for casual meetups in Old Sac!

awesome! Stumbled on this place during happy hour. Got a flight of beer and some amazing small plates. All served by a friendly waitress!

Food and drinks were great! I recommend trying out the vegan sliders and their cocktails. Our bartender was incredibly friendly and made our night really fun.

Great food, service, and beer! They are getting back into the swing of things after covid. The back patio was a great place to relax and have a good brunch.

My son and I came here on a whim. We were wandering through downtown and came across it. It was a busy day, but we were seated right away.

Ariana was our server. She was great. (Seriously, one of the best servers at a place like this that I have had.) She was friendly, polite, made great recommendations. The food was prompt. The beer was great.

I would give this place 50 stars if it were possible! May 1st I went out with friends to dinner for one's Birthday and we ate here at Hoppy's Railyard! I have to say it was the best! Near the new stadium were almost 2 hour waits but Hoppy's got us in very quickly. The host seated us and very fast the server came over to take our drink order. We talked and talked and finally let the server know we were ready to order. She was extremely kind, polite, friendly and professtional. I ordered the Prime Steak and it was the best steak I have ever had in my life! The food, service and atmosphere was absolutely outstanding and I felt like a friend in someone's home, they made me feel good. I commend everyone there from Host to Server to Chefs. The food is great and Service fantastic! Keep up the great work!

Stopped by later in the evening for a small bite and drink. Found this to be one of the few places in Old Town that is open after 9pm. Fast, friendly and helpful service with excellent quality ingredients and food perfectly prepared. There is both inside and outside seating, and an extensive list of beers on tap. The menu has something for everyone. If in town stop by and check them out. You won't be disappointed.

Emily the bartender was the best. The rest of the staff was very friendly too.
We were able to convince the kitchen to create a dish.
Introducing the POKE-ELOTE!! And its simply delicious.
Beer selection was great, good variety and rotating local seasonals.
Ill be back for sure.
