Skip's Fish & Chicken

It took a while for our food to come out, but that was my only issue. The food tasted amazing, and I highly recommend one of the loaded fries options. We were both impressed by the incredible taste.

Had them for the first time last night and I was not disappointed! everything was cooked fresh to order! And the staff were super friendly!

Wow! Had the shrimp Poboy Skips style was really good! Fresh and tasty I'm going to bring rest of family next time. The sauce is off the hook. Yellow cake was good as well. Definitely delicious.

Great place, compassionate staff. When I was having my lunch, the employee was approached by a man saying he was hungry. Employee gave man something to eat.

I have tried this florin location and downtown and I am happy with both. I have picked up lunch a couple times for my coworkers and myself from the florin location and it is always well prepared and delish. The colossal shrimp and their tenders are the best I have had in a while. They can have longer wait times during lunch and dinner rushes but that’s why we tend to order ahead. Friendly and helpful staff as well.

We wanted Po-boys and French was closed on Sunday. I Google Mapped Po-boy and the nearest was Skips Fish & Chicken on Florin. We had never been to one of their places, they have 4 in the Sacramento area and 1 in the Rockaways...yep NY city.
I got the fish combo and the wife got the shrimp combo. They each came with one side and a drink. They were having a little trouble with their soda machine, but it wasn't a big deal.
we got both of our combos Skip style, Cole slaw and Skip sauce added.
I got fried okra and the wife got the greens. Now if you've read some of my reviews, you'll know I was born and raised in the south. The Po-boys were really, really good but the sides were spectacular. The okra was seasoned and fried perfectly, and even though I crave vinegar to add to my collards, I was so impressed with the earthy taste I didn't even ask for vinegar.
This was a top notch late lunch for about 12 dollars for the each combo. And you know how I knew my wife really liked it? She didn't need a box for leftovers, she finished it all. I can't wait to try the one Downtown.

I love going to skips near on florin Rd I like to order the loaded fries which comes with Mac n cheese fries skips sauce and Nuggets but I like to order everything separate even though it seems like it's a lot they still take they time out to do it just the way I like everytime I super appreciate you guys. now when I come in they automatically know who I am and how I like my order

Good food and good customer service. It would be nice if they have more sauce options to go with the food.

I came here with my cousins to eat and we’re pretty indecisive so we asked the cashier Jameel what he recommended he said the chocolate cake and the loaded fries they were both awesome. Nice place and the food is pretty good.

We ordered online and was our first time at that location. Everything from the fish,oysters,and shrimp even the rice was soooooo delicious! Nothing was over cooked and the flavor was everything. The gentleman who was at the front was very polite and he gave the order correct and gave us the sauces without asking. The name was abraham I believe. The crew in the kitchen knew what they were doing because OMG it was full of flavor!!!!! Keep it up and it will definitely not be our last time!!!! GREAT JOB!!!!

The food is very good. I ordered and paid for 3 meal baskets and only got 2. As I was waiting on line there were several people that had items missing and kept coming back in to ask for the rest of their order. Make sure you check your orders. The food is not greasy maybe a little salty but still good.
