Yong-In Martial Arts_Cypress

During our 3-month stay in CA this Winter, my son needed a Dojang where he could seriously continue practicing his Taekwondo. Having been in a demo team for 2 yrs. in S. Korea, he could actually compare the trainings and classes. Out of many, he chose Yong-In Martial Arts!
Master Kim and his team are fantastic and my son loved all the black belt classes especially the demo team’s. The black-belt instructors are awesome and very inspiring.
Thanks to Master Kim and his team, there was no training gap and my son will soon be tested for the 3rd degree black belt in S. Korea.

I have nothing but great things to say about Yong-In martial arts here in Cypress CA ! I began as a student of martial arts, a part time instructor and now a full time committed instructor for Master Kim. Master Kim really cares for his students and hope for the best in everyone through the true teachings of Tae Kwon Do. The staffs here are wonderful and very determined to help others grow around them. I am glad to be part of the family here at Yong-in! Let's keep working hard and pushing forward!! Ahh Ja Ja!!

My daughter has been doing taekwondo at Yong-In and she loves it! Master Kim and the other black belts that assist are all very engaging! They make the class very fun for the students while also ensuring they are learning. She has learned discipline and focus and looks forward to each class. My son discovered Yong-In through his elementary school. They offered a free lesson. We arrived and within 5 minutes both my son and I were hooked. The instructors at Yong In provide not only an excellent source for physical activity, but stress mental focus and interpersonal respect. I have seen exponential growth in my son physically, mentally, and socially since he started going to Yong In. I recommend this program to everyone I meet who are looking for a positive growth environment for their children.

We really love Yongin taekwondo. Master Kim brings a good balance of discipline and fun to the class. His black belts are amazing in the class as well. They have very good programs to teach kids discipline , respect , responsibility along with self defense. My kid looks forward to the class and we highly recommend this class.

My daughter started at Yongin a little over a year ago and it has been the best experience. She has always been a shy person, but made fast friends with her classmates. The supportive nature and nurture of the studio is AMAZING. They don’t just learn about martial arts, but life lessons. If you have not tried them out yet, GO! Now!

Master Kim & Master Sendo are amazing with the kids! They display a Great combo of humor, discipline, support, teaching, & fun for all levels!! The senior instructors are also well trained & encouraging role models for all the other students!!! I highly recommend YongIn martial arts to any parent!

My daughter has been doing taekwondo at Yong-In for about 8 months now and she loves it. After many failed attempts to get her into martial arts, it only took a buddy pass trial class for her to change her mind about taekwondo. She enjoys it so much that she took a break from a previous sport to focus more on taekwondo. Master Kim and Master Sendoe along with the other black belts that assist keep the class fun, but disciplined at the same time. She looks forward to going to every class. My son is having a blast. I love the respect and discipline that is taught here. And its a great workout for him. The instructors are firm and also kind. They encourage the kids to persevere, be safe, be kind and to encourage each other. I'm very happy with our experiences here.

We have had a positive experience with Yong-in. Coming out of the pandemic, we were looking for an activity for my son to transition back to in person learning and activities. Master Kim and his program helped my son grow in many areas, outside of just physical growth and strength. These important areas include confidence, maturity, and respect. We appreciate the time Master Kim takes to help my son develop skills necessary to be a good student, family member, and friend. The black belt students are also wonderful and my son looks forward to working with them every week as well!

So glad we found this gem! Master Kim is great with kids and my daughter loves coming to class. There are usually a few black belts in the class that are just there to assist so there is help when learning new things.

Yong-In Martial Arts in Cypress is a welcoming and warm environment for all. I highly recommend Yong-In to everyone. My daughter has been a student for one year and the way that Master Kim teaches and empowers the students is wonderful. The growth we have seen in her goes beyond her TaeKwonDo skills. The building up of the individual to believe in themselves is a strong lesson. Never give up. Do your best. These are the pillars of the lesson building that extends beyond the mat. We started to "try something new" and found a passion for our daughter. I am very impressed with all the Leadership team who help with each class. I am wowed by the Demo Team that puts their skills on showcase in the Community - they are rock stars!
