Great local hardware store. Really friendly staff with that wonderful small town feel. For want of a better term, it, like so many of the locally owned businesses, it is true Davis. And that is a compliment.

I've only had positive experiences at Ace. They always seem to be fully staffed and all of the employees are really helpful. This is my general go-to spot for any home projects or tinkering projects.

Being part of the ACE family, plus a large inventory and great service = top place to shop in Davis, CA. We are very lucky to have this well run independent family business in our little town. Hardware, building supplies, home furnishings and garden supplies...

The staff are great and willing to spend extra time helping you find what you need. I spent 15 minutes with Jose looking for a special drill bit and he gave his undecided attention the whole time, which I find is rare.

Huge selection. VERY helpful staff-- just wander through the spraypaint/tool section and ask the guys back there anything. They'll usually tell you the cheapest way to get stuff done (or, rarely, warn you when the cheap way isn't the best.)

Workers here are very helpful. They walk around asking people that look confused ( one such as myself) and when I don't look confused they leave me alone to browse.

They are currently rearranging, but it is the go to for kitchen items. They have not only the latest in silicon tools, but canning items and replacement parts.

When to buy my niece and me a apron set and they were so nice and quick at attending.
