32nd Ave Cleaners

This week brought in my peacoat for it's first annual cleaning, it looked better than the day I bought it. I have brought in several items for cleaning, some behind hope with stains, and everything always turns out fantastic. They do such an amazing job and I could not be happier with the services they provide. One of the best cleaners I've encountered.

My husband and I have been coming here for over 3 years. There was only one time an item was missing; I went back and they were able to locate it immediately without any problems. Great job for a reasonable price.

I have been taking all my cleaning to 32nd street for over a year. He has failed to remove some tough stains, but otherwise great work. Also has done some minor repairs well. Finishing would be better if I paid 4x the price elsewhere, but...

This was listed as a laundromat. They have drop off laundry, but it's not a laundromat. I got tired of waiting for someone to ask questions, so I left.

While the gentleman working is lovely, their service and my experience was so subpar. Dropped a shirt off two weeks ago for alterations. Was told it would take a week. Returned a week later - they’d failed to enter my info in the system, couldn’t find my shirt and when they did, it hadn’t been altered. Returned today, almost another week later and it still hadn’t been altered. They could not provide me an ETA. I left with my unaltered shirt and will take my business somewhere else.

STAY AWAY!!! I wish I read these reviews before he ruined my $150 shirt. I brought back my custom made shirt never worn after his washing with stains on the front and back of the shirt. Played dumb and blamed me for getting stains on my shirt. When I repeated that I never wore the shirt, he continued to blame me for staining the shirt. NON-EXISTING CUSTOMER SERVICE, POOR WORKMANSHIP and the most unhappy man have ever met.

Brought my wedding suit in to be pressed. Pants ended up ruined (see photos). Then they accused me of “bringing them in like that,” said they’d been worn “for years,” said they were “cheap,” and tried to haggle on the replacement price. They refused to pay more than half for pants that cost me hundreds of dollars, which I’d worn literally twice. When I refused to budge on the price, they unleashed a bunch of expletives at me and told me to “get out” of their store. All that for a repeat customer. DO NOT come here.

By the way, check the good reviews closely — they might be fake.

I took a pair of pants here to get taken up, that’s it, and they took them up about an eighth of an inch if that. And this was after they took measurements while I was wearing the pants. On top of that it was $16/pants which I believe to be a bit overpriced if you’re just taking up pants. Will avoid this place from here in out.

I just brought in a shirt that was fairly new. It had a tank top sewn into the blouse as a liner. When I got the shirt back the tank top was missing. I brought it back in and was given the tank top and told they do not guarantee these things. It was ripped in two places (the actual strap on one side and where it attached to the shirt on the other side). They took no responsibility at all. He wanted to charge me $10 to fix it. I will NEVER bring another item here.

I’ve been going to 32nd Ave cleaners for several years and have generally had good service and dry cleaning, as well as friendly service.

Tonight they lost me as a customer for good.

I had returned to address a food stain on the inside of one of my business suit jacket sleeves that I discovered when putting on that suite for the first time since picking up from the dry cleaner a couple weeks earlier. Being inside the sleeve, the stain was in a position that would be literally impossible to do myself while wearing the jacket, say when eating...unless I’d purposefully poured food down the interior of my suit jacket sleeve.

The clerk at 32nd Ave cleaners refused to accept that this could have happened by mistake or could have been their fault. I had not even removed the plastic covering the suit until the morning last week when I was dressing to go to work and discovered the stain. Yet, she was rather defensive and all but blamed me for causing the stain, and said I’d have to split any costs for the additional cleaning needed because I had already removed the yellow service tag they staple to every item they clean (which I always take off as I’m getting dressed), and because it’s been more than 5 days since I picked up that suit. I wear suits regularly, but not regularly enough that I’d wear the same suit every week!

Anyway, the response was far less than professional, and if they’re willing to lose one customer instead of fixing a error by someone on their staff, then I’m happy to never return.

They ruined my graduate graduation garment and then refused all responsibility. I was embarrassed to find my gown ruined minutes before I walked, and need this gown in the future. I would not trust them with any garment. Good people take responsibility. They did not any level of responsibility. Don't go there!

Needed to get my white shirt dry cleaned for a friends wedding. Picked it up the day before only to find a giant blue stain on the collar. Requested for it to be dry cleaned and it was clearly laundered. They were still to make sure they charged me for dry cleaning through... DO NOT TRUST!!!

Failed to remove a stain, but succesful at making excuses for the hole drilled into the garment. Garbage service!!

Don’t drop off alterations at this place because it will just sit in a bin and not get done

Brought our couch slip cover in to be cleaned. Came back with new stains. Looking at their other reviews this seems to be a pattern. Will never go here again.

They ruined a shirt on my first visit with them and would not accept responsibility.
