Heard a lot about this place and finally had the chance to eat there! 10/10 rated and will be a for sure stop anytime I’m in the area! Jalapeño Queso was recommended and I appreciate that because it was really good! Steak arrachera was amazing. If you’re looking for great Mexican food, stop by!!!

This place is fire! They had an army on the porch seating area help us make sure tables were set and and even not wobbling which on the patio area most places don’t care at all. Food is amazing. Literally so good and service was amazing! Go eat here this place was priced great and accommodated our group of 12 so well. I’ll be back for sure

We took friends from out of town last night and had an excellent meal and service. We love Despo's - fresh, tasty Mexican food. They don't take reservations but moves quickly even on a Friday night. Shrimp tacos were soooo gooood.

Great customer service! Very willing to customize the salad! Loved being able to sit out side in the patio. Summer if theb employees came out to empty garbages and too time to say hello and ask how the meal was! Kudos! A+++

Food was fresh and tasty. Good menu and specials. Chimichunga was filling and two tacos were good portions also. Service was friendly and fast.

This place was highly recommended by locals. We were visiting from Meridian, Idaho & almost went to a different place. After reading reviews and asking around we made the right decision. The pork Verde special was perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. If you get red and green sauce be aware that it is .99 cents more. They won't offer up the info but will ask you if that is what you want. My boys loved theirs as well.

Always reliable great food, great drinks, and THE BEST service. Great for any occasion. Recently hosted father’s 60th birthday in their covered patio. We had a WONDERFUL experience. One of the best venues for big group gatherings in the Wood River Valley.

Nice place, the service was good, the food was good too. Good sizes and fresh. If you get the shrimp burrito and like shrimp, you'll be enjoying that one.

Great Mexican restaurant that has been here for decades because they are doing it right! The chips are homemade (still warm when we got them) and every dish we ordered was fresh and full of flavor. The staff were also so friendly with our dogs, bringing out a bowl of water for them right away and saying hi to them the whole time we were there. The patio is large and fully covered so it is a great shady spot to come with the pups in the summer heat. Great beer selection too! Highly recommend.

Absolutely everything was fabulous about our dinner. Service was prompt and timed perfectly. Homemade chips, guac, salsa,... everything. I had the Richard burrito and wife had the chile relleno. Both were totally delicious with excellent complexity in every bite. Margaritas were spot on with the large served in 16 oz glasses. I don't normally do reviews but this dinner deserved one.

We had lunch at Despo’s yesterday 7/20/23. I had the shredded chicken enchiladas and my husband had the tortilla soup. We also ordered chips, salsa and guacamole. My first comment was “This chicken with salsa verde is really good! The chicken is tender and the flavor is wonderful.” I tasted the tortilla soup which was also very good, as was the salsa and guacamole. We eat at Mexican restaurants wherever we travel and at home and we feel the food at Despo’s is at the top. We went back again today because we enjoyed the food, service and staff there so much. I had the chicken enchiladas again and my husband had the Chili Verde. Again we had excellent food and service. If we lived near Ketchum we would be regulars every week. We also liked the outdoor and indoor seating. It was very comfortable and relaxing and the owner and servers were so welcoming and friendly. I can highly recommend Despo’s with no qualms. Thank you Amy, Allen, Tucker, and Manuel! Keep up the good work.

One of our very favorite places to eat in Ketchum. The Mexican food is high quality and the menu is always fresh. The staff is always great and excellent service. The owner is usually there and checks on each table regularly. Definitely a must if you are in the area!

We had dinner at Despo's for the first time on August 8th: quesadilla and chile relleno were great and we had an excellent local beer. We had the chance to speak with Amy, the owner, who is terrific. We visit Ketchum annually and will surely eat at Despo's again next year.

Love this place. We come here whenever we’re in town. They just added a beautiful roof to their patio! Great for enjoying a margarita with the dogs out side!

Despo’s is a must if you are in the area. The food is delicious, the outdoor dining deck is fabulous and the Steak Tampiqueña is unbelievable. Will definitely go back!

Incredible food! Have been going to this Mexican restaurant since I was a tiny tot and it only gets better. They hosted an amazing drag event and make the best salad (KMT add zucchini). Their owner, Amy, treats everyone with love and respect and we are so lucky to have her and her family in the valley supplying us with healthy Mexican food!

The BEST Mexican food - simple, reliable, and delicious. Love all the different options, no frills setting, nice service, and local feel. Definitely get anything w their tortillas, yum.

Only thing I didn’t love were the margaritas - maybe stick with a Dos Equis.

Amazing!!! Best service and the food was incredible. We got to dine on the patio with our pup. The Richard burrito is a must. It’s vegetarian and one of the best burritos we had. Definitely try this place. The staff is very kind. The food came out so fast. The guacamole and chips are so yummy, too. Will be back next time we are in SV.
