Catamount Recreation Area

Lived in colorado my whole life and only been here for the first time about a week ago. If i didnt have to pay to be there, i'd go everyday. The hike along the reservoir ends halfway around the lake but when its not snowy the trail is very easy and the drive there is of course very beautiful

So far one of my top ten places to go. We didn't come across many people and it was quiet and beautiful. Can't wait to go in the winter!

It is a beautiful hiking area. Pretty easy and not too crowded. If you are ambitious you can get to the North Catamount reservoir.

One of the best hikes around for everyone. Incredible views Pikes Peak. If you go from September thru October you can see Bald Eagles.

Nice area, about 1.4 mile walk to lake where you can fish. Moderate hills. Gravel may be loose so wear good hiking footwear. Check weather first as storms arise quickly. One porta potty at parking lot.

Nice walking trails. Beautiful scenery. The mountain air is so fresh and the views of Pikes Peak are epic! Love it!

Loved this hike. Good trail and not very crowded. Beautiful stream with tons of rainbow trout. Crystal clear water. Give yourself a good 4 hours to do this hike.

One of my "go to" hikes. Most hikes are around 5 miles. You will get your heart pumping but the terrain is more rolling so there is always some "down" to rest. Views of Pikes Peak and reservoirs are quite nice. The Elder-Fehn trail is very tree-covered

Great moderate trails for hiking & mountain biking. Beautiful view of the two reservoirs as you circle them. The trails are mostly non-technical for mountain bikes. Parking is free. Search for Catamount Reservoir Trail in Woodland Park, CO or Cascade, CO

Great parking for the trails here. Not a super big parking lot, but off the beaten path, and a quiet area. Puts you right next to the Ring the Peak trail and access to a bunch more.

Right now it's one of the most quietest places you can be. Take the back way in behind Woodland Park.

Did a Mountain bike loop around this area the trails were not technical but Rolling hills. Beautiful scenery at the north base of Pikes Peak

Beautiful area. The beginning was icy (in the shade) but after that it was fine. Really sad to see how the the water is.

Great place, if ur going fishing the fish are small and can't use worms, but overall its a beautiful area!
