The Blue Moose Tavern

Very chill place. Even though it looked like a group of regulars, everyone was friendly and welcoming.

The food was really reasonable and very tasty!

The bartender was on the ball, my drink never got empty.

And all of this on New Years Day!

Call me impressed.

If I could leave 10 stars I would, this is the type of bar you visit to feel at home and kick back. The food, amazing. The patrons, like family, the bartender Martha, absolutely fantastic. I live 2 hrs away but I will absolutely be a regular.

Great place and really attentive staff. From the bar tenders to the cooks they are very welcoming. Just moved to town and wife and I immediately felt at home. Other reviews state they treat outsiders bad but I've never got that feeling. Great music as well and highly addicted to the cheese curds. I love da Moose!

We came here after being turned away by mucky duck who said they were booked (even though the restaurant and bar were empty) came info this busy tavern with 1 bartender and 1 cook working and lots of costumers. We were served fast and the homemade pizza was delicious! Line cook David knows how to cook a good pizza! The bartender waited on the whole restaurant, served and bused all the tables alone never missing a beat! I highly recommend!

This place has the BEST jalapeño poppers I’ve EVER had, those alone are worth the drive! Not to mention the location is gorgeous! Highly recommend!

Great atmosphere, whether it is to see a local band, take advantage of their Sunday NFL Ticket, or come in for bite after a hike. The bartenders and kitchen staff are stellar humans plus the food comes out hot and as ordered. Thanks for being one of my favorite places to hang out.

We visited from Texas and spent 3 of our 4 nights here! Loved meeting the locals, the drinks, playing pool, the food was great and the bartenders were top notch! Next Colorado trip, we will be back! 🤘🏼

Laid back, just as a mountain bar should be. Beer was nice and cold, bartender was friendly. The wings were large and hit the spot. The pizza looked incredible. Stop in after a day of hiking for a breather!

FANTASTIC FISH! Great service, only 4 stars cause it was one bar tender taking care of the whole bar. Great cook named David he’s awesome and this place is awesome!

Great food, atmosphere, and location! They have a gluten-free pizza crust and the pizza is pretty big. I would be careful about cross-contamination.

Had two pizzas; the Big Kahoona and a 5 topping one; sausage, pepperoni, bacon, mushrooms, onions. They both were excellent! Now, you currently just need to be patient and nice as there's just basically the wonderful bar-tender and the cook to tend to everyone. However, our food order came out reasonably quickly given the number of folks there. The bar-tender is super sweet and just wants all to have a good time. Beer selection is excellent. We will be back.

Hands down BEST Tostadas for miles! I had the Barbacoa Tostada topped with fresh lettuce and tomatoes, melted cheese over crisp tostada bread, and fresh made verde salsa. ❤
The Blue Moose is a rustic Tavern with beautiful mountain views and excellent, friendly staff. This isn’t your typical bar food. This is REAL FOOD. Come experience something different. Sit by the fire while enjoying the famous Moose Dip or sit outside while sampling local beer favorites! You won’t be disappointed. It’s one of my favorite places for great food and company, neatly tucked away in the mountains♥

Nachos were very good. Toppings were spread out, the cook also put bbq on the side for me. Love the fresh peppers is a change from the pickled. Mac and cheese was good and filling. Water tasted fine. Staff was kind. Check out this cute pub. 😍

Stopped in with the fam and the service was excellent. The band was great. The drummed gave my young son drum sticks. Always a great time and a great place.

The food was really good! Especially the Ute Pass Poppers! The inside is such a fun place, and it is located next to a beautiful park if you'd rather take your food to go and eat outside!

If you are visiting on vacation and looking for something off the beaten path, this is the place. This truly gave us a taste of colorado. The food was amazing, reasonably priced and thr staff was super friendly. Highly recommend.

The food was very good. The crown and coke Martin made for me was the best crown and coke I have ever had! It was the perfect mix and made my birthday even better! I highly recommend this place!

The view from the patio is amazing. The pizza is very good and the cheese bits are delicious. There is a beautiful park next door with a kid’s playground and a small lake.

Great Bartenders EVERY time I am here! They all know their stock and have great suggestions and insight! Very good local draft beer lineup.
