I rode around in Toyota Hiace minibuses in Zambia and always thought it would be cool to have one state-side. Almost a decade goes by and I see a Hiace in Detroit. At that point I went down the rabbit hole of JDM vans and fell in love with the Delica. Next came a couple years of saving money and searching for the right dealer. Ultimately the Delica community pointed me to Nomadic Van in Idaho, with glowing reviews. Gardner helped my brother and I pick the perfect Delicas, and we decided to fly in from Michigan and Texas respectively and buy them on the same day. Rondo and Gardener are by far the most outgoing, personable and hard working badasses I know! They do top notch quality work and have a quick turnarounds along with a very reasonable price. They have worked on 2 of my L300 Delicas and both look, sound and feel night and day better than they did prior to their expert work. Also their customer service is incredible! These guys will make you feel like you are out to conquer the world in these robust, tuned up, off-road ready machines. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would - please take my word when I say Nomadic Vanlife is the one stop shop for all your Delica wants and needs.

Super friendly staff who never let me worry once while my vehicle was with them. Quality work and fast turnover for the amount of work done. I will 100% be coming by atleast once a year to have them check out my van. The whole Nomadic crew is incredible! I've gone in for the basic maintenance (timing belt, new tires, shocks) and I've had the Stage 1 performance tune done on my van. Ketchum is a great place to spend a few days while you're getting work done and the work is always top notch. They've also been a HUGE support with shipping out parts and answering questions when I've had break downs on big road trips. Don't hesitate to take your Delica to these guys, they do it right! Better yet, just buy your delica from them and never worry about it again

I bought my L400 from Gardner and Rondo at Nomadic Van and I couldn’t be happier with their product knowledge and expertise. It was great working with Rondo and Gardner when getting my Delica road ready for the states. I shipped my L400 4M40 from Japan and sent it to them to get a one over, rust repair, and any maintenance I would need to have a reliable van in the US. It was a great experience and a good deal! I would recommend them anytime! Rondo was more than willing to help me out whenever I had questions about the work done and very responsive. Also if you haven’t been to Ketchum before, plan on staying a couple of days, it’s a nice spot.

After searching for a Japanese van for almost a year, I ended up working with Rondo and Gardner at Nomadic Vans. They are passionate about their work, and import and restore some of the most solid Delica's in the country. I ended up landing on a 1993 Delica L300 with a fully converted camper interior and some sweet accessories.

I'm based in Oregon, and was hesitant to buy a vehicle in another state without seeing it in person. But they had walked me through all the details, answered all my questions, and made sure my "test drive" was really comprehensive. We even took the van off roading so they could show me the ropes.

Do keep in mind that these are vintage cars – they're absolutely not perfect and you shouldn't expect them to be. While I've already taken it on a couple thousand miles of smooth driving, both on and off road, there will be hiccups along the way. These are old vans! In my case, the alternator was damaged recently but Rondo hopped on the phone right away, and generously helped me with next steps on repairing it. How often can you say that about your dealer?

In a nutshell, Delica's are amazing and capable vans that will definitely need the proper maintenance and care. Working with Rondo and Gardner has been incredible. They're awesome and chill, yet are serious experts when it comes to these vans. I wouldn't hesitate buying another van from them again

I bought a 96 Delica L300 from Nomadic and have been very happy with it. They did a fantastic job with the initial "maintenance routine" of replacing belts, fluids, filters, etc and also the Stage 1 tune has been great in the van. The van runs very well and I've had no major issues with it. Gardner is very responsive to any questions and helped me with advice to get through emissions and registration in Colorado. If you are considering a Delica I would definitely recommend you consider buying one from Nomadic.

The Nomadic team was able to answer all my questions in a no-BS kind of way and ensured I got a Delica L400 that suited my needs and would remain reliable on all my future adventures. Since purchasing the van the team at Nomadic has made themselves available to answer all of my maintenance questions and concerns, along with other general inquires about the vans. In addition to being available to help solve any issue that has presented itself while pushing my van to new limits, they have been incredibly helpful in sourcing after market parts that will elevate my van even further. I can't even begin to tell you how incredible these guys are. Rondo and Gardner have been so helpful in my quest to get my Delica. Buying a 25+ year old van that was never sold in the US was a bit daunting for me, but these folks did a great job getting my Delica fixed up mechanically. Been having problems with my Delica, so I drove it up to these guys. Even though they were slammed they were amazing enough to squeeze me into their already tight schedule, diagnose the problem, as well as show me a bunch of other things under the hood. Great people, a lot of fun to talk with and be around, they took great care of me and would definitely recommend them to anyone interested in these vans. The boys at nomadic van are all time! brought my delica in for a tune up while they were in southern CA and they made her run GREAT! even better, they've been super responsive to any question that ive had come up and are always providing helpful tips and tricks to a first time Delica owner. I will bring my van back to them in the future for all my future work!

These guys are absolutely amazing. I have a jdm van that almost all mechanics turn away which leaves me fixing it in Wally World parking lot.
