I had some kind of burger but I can't remember what meat it was. Bison? Deer? IDK. I know for sure it wasn't cow meat. The server Savvy ( I think that was her name), she was great. Very personable, gave us great recommendations. I'm not really a fan of burgers in general but wanted to try it. It was good, the fries were great. If I'm ever in that area, I'll visit again.

A nice little place in the mountains to stop and have some dinner. Lunch. Relax. Great atmosphere kind employees and not bad priced. I'd say if you're in Leadville and hungry this would be the place

This is the cutest little cafe/bar. For us, it was the perfect spot to grab a cold beer and some good grub after a long day of hiking.

Edit: 2 years later…. Wow we came here for lunch after snowmobiling. I am still blown away by how good the food was here. Best beer cheese soup I’ve EVER had. Potato bacon soup also 11/10. Colorado dip absolutely amazing, Brussels were phenomenal. Every bite was downright excellent!

There are a few nice restaurants and cafes at the beautiful town of Leadville (situated at an elevation of 10,000 feet), but Tennessee Pass Cafe is one that you should definitely check out. It offers a comfortable indoors environment, a cute outdoor space, an appealing menu and a good variety of beverages. We really liked the burger (costume made to add some avocado and herb cheese), and the cool beer menu, offering some unique options. The staff was nice and efficient and the place was active but not overly busy.

My wife being a vegetarian she loved that they had vegetarian food options. She had the grilled cheese and tomato soup. I had the French onion soup and baked wings which were well seasoned.

I have been eating here for roughly a decade and today enjoyed my finest meal at the Tennessee Pass Cafe: the Dill Havarti sandwich (with chicken added).

Thank you to Camille for both the prompt service and spot-on recommendation.

best Greek salad I’ve ever had. The large was HUGE and I added gyro meat which was sooooo good. Yummy French onion soup, was tempted by the trout dishes they have which advertise being local Colorado river trout. Have buffalo on the menu as well as smoked trout. Yummy! 4 stars in my opinion is just too low! Large outdoor patio and small bar inside.

I came here on NYE and they were pretty slammed, but you'd never be able to tell based on the excellent service we got! The server was an absolute delight and she did an incredible job. The food was so good and we got it promptly. I'm thoroughly impressed!

Absolutely incredible food & Service. We were so glad to have tried this out on our last day of our trip! However, if we knew how good it was we probably would’ve ate here everyday! Our waiter was awesome! We left absolutely stuffed. Also have to mention I love the mention of pups on the menu! And selling dog food? So unique and personable.

Stopped by in the off, off-season a couple weeks ago for lunch and really enjoyed our experience. Our server wore a funny hat yet was oddly efficient. We really enjoyed the fried brussels sprouts and home-made soup as sides with our sandwiches. The other guests seemed to be similarly enjoying their experiences too.

My son and I had a great experience here. Dinner was fantastic and the cafe interior has a very cool authentic Leadville vibe. Reuben, shepherd's pie and sweet potato fries - - all delicious.

A quick Google search lead us to this adorable and cozy restaurant and bar in downtown Leadville. Friendly service and freshly prepared food. Try something you can't get at home! I enjoyed the buffalo meat! The French onion soup was also very good! Great selection of craft brews, too! There are TV screens for sports and bar seating, as well! Highly recommended!

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for many years, and I’ve never left disappointed! This time, I ordered a large greek salad and the Colorado version of a surf and turf, which consisted of local trout and a strip steak. The salad was delicious and had a great homemade dressing, and the steak and trout were perfectly cooked! The side of fried brussels sprouts and roasted veggies were also wonderful. We were given a very generous portion for the price we paid, and I would highly recommend stopping here if you’re visiting Leadville.

Came to Leadville for a different restaurant but it was closed for mudseason. So we went to our second choice and it was also closed. We all sort of reluctantly came to this place and WERE PLEASANTLY SURPRISED! We tried a hodgepodge of options, and our only complaint was that two people of our five person party thought the fries and brussel sprouts were too salty. I had the Mac Attack buffalo burger which was huuuuge (as were all of the portion sizes). I had the winter gorgonzola salad as a side, and it was pleasantly sweet. My wife had the turkey avocado club which she enjoyed. My friend had the Black and Bleu burger which she also loved. My kids had the chicken nuggets and cheesy bread. Everyone loved it. There was plenty to go around, and we all agreed we’d come back!
